@Babyhope98 not in my stomach but after I had my first I'd get dragging pain in my vagina instead of my tummy when I was due on. It's literally a daily occurrence now so I always feel like I'm coming in now

Hanrora06 · 05/07/2020 18:52

@StephRae names are the only thing we've basically got sorted 😂 boys' names were definitely trickier but we think we've settled on both. It's something we talked about even before we ever were seriously considering pregnancy, we just like talking about baby names haha. Pretty sure we're set on either Matilda or Torin 💕

RestorationInsanity · 05/07/2020 18:57

I seem to get a sort of heavy feeling low down, alongside the round ligament pain, and it seems to happen once a week/fortnight now, I think when the baby is having a growth spurt!

We have no idea on names. DH says he doesn't know what he wants from a name, and it feels like a big responsibility so we're just ignoring it for now 😂

Kj1010 · 05/07/2020 19:02

@Babyhope98 yes I get this pain like once a week feeling it today dunno if it's where I had scan yesterday and they push on ur belly but not worry about it as baby was fine

Babyhope98 · 05/07/2020 19:10

I think mine may be to do with my digestion related too, it has not been great since pregnancy.. so I think it’s a mixture of the two. I thought as I have got further than my previous miscarriages, I wouldn’t worry as much but I was wrong. The further it goes on the more attached I have got x

ChampooPapi · 05/07/2020 20:18

@Babyhope98 yes absolutely , the further you get the worse it sometimes does feel because the loss you are imagining becomes more and more devastating the further you are along in the pregnancy. I feel like this too, I don't think it will ever go away unfortunately until our babies are in our arms all present and correct. I think it helps to reach milestones and but the anxiety also ramps up before the milestones too! so its a bloody hard process really, but I totally understand and I'm feeling the same often too, just got to keep the faith, keep eating that chocolate and keep as positive as possible, its all we can do until we have these babies cooked and swaddled in our arms Smile

I imagine those pains are most likely round ligament pain, I haven’t experienced much of it yet this pregnancy but had it a lot in my previous one!
@Hanrora06 those are lovely names! ❤️

danielasummer · 06/07/2020 07:38

@ChampooPapi wishing you luck for your scan today, and everyone else with scans this week! I saw your gorgeous bump photo, update please when you can! :) Have you thought of any names for the girls? xx

I've also had very light period-like cramps but I've had them the whole way through (17+5 today) and the scans have all been fine so I'm not worrying about them. Hope you all have a lovely week x

chubbyhotchoc · 06/07/2020 09:35

@ChampooPapi good luck for your scan!

Has anyone had their whooping cough jab yet? I'm just trying to get through to my gp surgery. Apparently best time to have it is between 16-20 weeks so just realised I need to get my skates on

peachypetite · 06/07/2020 09:48

Good luck @ChampooPapi

Whooping cough is fine up until 32 weeks before anyone starts panicking. I’m planning to contact my GP assuming everything is fine at my 20 week scan to arrange it. www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/whooping-cough-vaccination-pregnant/

chubbyhotchoc · 06/07/2020 09:56

@peachypetite I've just rang the gp surgery and they've booked me in for next week after my 20 week scan on Monday. No idea why they're handing out leaflets saying to have it between 16 and 20 🙄

confused107 · 06/07/2020 10:01

My midwife has booked me in to have the whopping cough vaccine at the same time of my 20 week scan

peachypetite · 06/07/2020 10:04

And my midwife said any time! Hmm I just go by the nhs website to be honest.

firstbabybell · 06/07/2020 10:17

@chubbyhotchoc that is so useful isn't it?! Honestly our antenatal care just gets better and better doesn't it?! 🙄

Saw my mum yesterday & she showed me her appointment record from when she was pregnant with me in 1983 & 84 - they used to get seen every month!!!

Kj1010 · 06/07/2020 10:33

Morning all I knew I forgot to ask midwife about something was so worried my blood results would come back abnormal like they would tell me I have cancer I'm such a panic freak not good still dont no name of midwife cud be alison or steph then the midwife got herself all confused booking me in for a get test on 26th november wen I'm 28 weeks lol had to say I'll be near on due by then she asked me wen my 20 week scan is I said end this month really didn't know much about me lol

chubbyhotchoc · 06/07/2020 10:43

@firstbabybell yes it's even more useful when they keep sending me letters for appointments in line with my miscarriage and not my current pregnancy. I've had two gestational diabetes test appointments through 👌🏻

PipTed · 06/07/2020 10:49

Has anyone got their blood group results back yet? I’m still awaiting mine from my 12 week scan/booking appointment. 🙈

MummyShark97 · 06/07/2020 10:52

gosh tell me about it re the vaccine ! I was moaning about this to my mum at the weekend. Also the MATB1... assuming we should get this after 20 week appt? No idea what's going on half the time.

Kj1010 · 06/07/2020 11:12

@PipTed yes got mine back today currently 17 weeks but I knew my blood type any way

RestorationInsanity · 06/07/2020 11:13

@PipTed I already knew mine but have got the baby's back if that's what you mean (the anti-d check?). I was told by the midwife at 16 weeks to call the pregnancy advice line as they have access to all my notes and results and are available 24/7. Do you have something like that?

Whooping cough am waiting until after 20 week scan, for no reason other than I have so few appointments I thought I'd space them out a bit 😂

I think they're supposed to give it to you at 20 weeks and you have to give it to your employer by 25 weeks? So will chase mine when I have my scan. I wonder if the second 20 weeks of pregnancy will go faster than the first? Part of me thinks not as I already had 6 weeks under my belt before I found out!

MummyShark97 · 06/07/2020 11:22

@RestorationInsanity I've wondered that about time going faster !

For us personally, I think the next couple of months will go quick due to the house move and then I see the last few weeks feeling pretty slow as doing daily things gets a bit harder for us! Keep looking at my little bump now and I just can't imagine myself full term!

Pinktruffle · 06/07/2020 11:23

My midwife didn't know who was responsible for giving me the whopping cough jab! She said they might do it at my 20 week scan and to ask, if they don't then I need to make a GP appointment and ask them to do it.

NaomiB79 · 06/07/2020 11:30

@Pinktruffle that's shocking that she didn't know! I had mine at my 20 week scan but I think it is different in different trusts.

RestorationInsanity · 06/07/2020 11:35

@Pinktruffle I could have it either with my GP or special clinic appointment for jabs, but I can walk round the corner to my GP rather than driving to the hospital so went for the GP.

roro87 · 06/07/2020 11:38

Good luck everyone with scans this week thinking of you all
