@firstbabybell i've been doing my pelvic floor exercises for the last ten years lol! My advise is to never stop once you start, just whenever you remember have a good old clench 😁

Arhhh! My 20 week scan is Tuesday at 11:30, and my haircut is tomorrow! I'm a mess ladies, i've officially lost it 😂

@ChampooPapi I couldn't get a hair appointment in my salon until the end of the month! I am really looking forward to that though :-)
20 week scan is Wednesday afternoon for me - I'm trying not to think about it tbh!

roro87 · 05/07/2020 09:18

@EithneBlue I know she still uses a very outdated word for mentally disabled people too. I just try to put it out of my head I love her son and just have to bear it. that being said if anything is said to baby it will be a different story. We had booked for September to go to Lisbon but with my spd and current climate I could change them for free. So we pushed it out to April and when he is born I will add him on. I would love to go further afield but like you will be waiting to see how things are then.
We are going to another part of Ireland in September now for a mini break.

I love when I wake up in the morning and i give him a poke (gently of course) and he starts poking me back. He is wriggling around now as I type.

EithneBlue · 05/07/2020 10:07

@roro87 -- Lisbon sounds lovely! I've actually also heard lots of positive things about travelling with a baby that young because you don't need to worry about them wandering off! :-) Ireland is actually high on my list of places I'd like to visit: it has occurred to me that if restrictions are still a hassle (or prices have gone through the roof) then 2 weeks travelling around Ireland would be a pretty decent holiday option :-)
Yikes - hopefully she won't be rude enough to say something around the baby...!

nearlyamummyof2boys · 05/07/2020 10:20

@roro87 Lisbon is a my favourite city in the world it is amazing! I'm not sure how tricky it would be with a pram - but with a sling would be just lovely!
I've booked in a wellness scan on Wednesday and my NHS one is ok Thursday!

Good luck to all with scans today x

StephRae · 05/07/2020 10:43

@roro87 she really said that! My partner are engaged but not married so all 3 of our kids will be bastards by definition but no one has ever said anything about it as that’s not usually seen as an issue today, that’s such an old fashioned opinion I’m shocked 😂

Amyyy1 · 05/07/2020 10:45

I think I just felt some movement!!!??? It felt like a roll... not sure if it's still too early for it to have been that though? I have an anterior placenta and I'm a FTM so was told not to expect anything until after at least 21 weeks. I am 18+4 today!

roro87 · 05/07/2020 10:48

@Awkes It could well be movement a friend of mine started feeling it at 19w and same situation ftm and anterior. I think they tell you that it is a little later so you don't worry. my midwife told me not to worry if I don't feel anything until 22 week.

roro87 · 05/07/2020 10:49

Thanks everyone yes she is very old fashioned my granny wouldn't even have said that before she died so think must have been her upbringing determined not to let it get to me. On a side note how are you meant to know what car seat to pick

StephRae · 05/07/2020 10:52

19+5 today, ignore the messy bathroom! Can’t believe I’m nearly 20 weeks and we still have no idea what we’re naming them 😩 I know we still have ages but we at least had Celeste’s middle name decided by 20 weeks! 😂 how are everyone else doing with picking baby names?

👣 Due late Nov/Dec, it's bump time ladies! 👣
StephRae · 05/07/2020 10:55

@Amyyy1 I think it could be movement, my sister had an anterior placenta and said she started feeling slight movement around 19 weeks

EithneBlue · 05/07/2020 11:32

@StephRae 😂 We have not had any remotely serious conversations about names.

Amyyy1 · 05/07/2020 11:47

I really hope it's movement I've spent hours flomped out on the sofa deadly still willing myself to feel something🤣🤣

@StephRae Cute bump!! We have a name chosen but have had it since 10 weeks for a girl and luckily it was a girl cos we had no clue and probably still wouldn't have a clue if it had been a boy

StephRae · 05/07/2020 11:51

It was the same with my daughter, we ended up being glad she was a girl as we had way more girl names we liked than boy names 😂

ChampooPapi · 05/07/2020 12:09

@EithneBlue that's great your scan is Wednesday, a couple more sleeps! I repeat dialled my hairdresser the day/hour/second they opened their booking line. I had to agree to terms through email about covid, didnt say I needed a mask but will take one anyway just in case. Its gling to be odd as no one else is aloud in the salon at the same time as each other, so just me and the hairdresser. I am ridiculously excited about him washing my hair and touching my head 😂 literally anyone touching my head after months of headaches is pure ecstasy still!

@roro87 we have bought the doona car seat, converts into a pram for quick trips into shops etc.. I'm in love with it!

chubbyhotchoc · 05/07/2020 14:45

@ChampooPapi I'm booked in on Thursday for my hair. I can't bloody wait!

StephRae · 05/07/2020 17:14

Went for a really long walk toddy, absolutely knackered now 😂 was lovely though, haven’t done anything like that in a while.

StephRae · 05/07/2020 17:14

Babyhope98 · 05/07/2020 18:13

Does anyone have days where their lower belly feels achy like period pains? I have been feeling movement so hoping it’s just growing pains, wondering if everyone gets the same x

roro87 · 05/07/2020 18:16

@Babyhope98 I have had this today also feeling movement felt it a few days ago/last week also. hoping just stretching

ChampooPapi · 05/07/2020 18:44

@chubbyhotchoc amazing! I'm so excited about mine tomorrow, i'm like a kid on Christmas eve!

Pinktruffle · 05/07/2020 18:46

I've had some awful upper back pain for the past few days. It's really killing me, I'm not one for pain killers but I am seriously thinking of taking some paracetamol to ease it.

chubbyhotchoc · 05/07/2020 18:48

@Babyhope98 not in my stomach but after I had my first I'd get dragging pain in my vagina instead of my tummy when I was due on. It's literally a daily occurrence now so I always feel like I'm coming in now
