@firstbabybell - Whenever I think of them - usually 1-3 times a day -- But I have to do them all the time anyway: a weird side effect of having hypermobility is stress incontinence so if I don't do them I pee when I sneeze which isn't what anyone wants.
@roro87 She said what?! Has she time travelled from the 1950s?! I'm actually married (although not sure husband's family love the fact that I didn't change my name because, you know, I'm his wife not his property), but by her definition I am myself a bastard... hasn't done me any harm 😂
OMG the number of times I've wanted to retort to someone that we are financially independent and yes we can afford the childcare for me to work full time without a significant lifestyle change because, you know, years of effective budgeting and a tendency towards cheap lifestyle choices anyway (except the love of holidays) But that seems rather rude so I just smile and nod... 😂😂
A holiday sounds exciting! Where are you planning to go? I'm waiting on booking the post baby holiday to see what the travel restrictions are by then - I'd like to take advantage of using maternity leave for a cheaper term-time holiday somewhere a little further afield but at the moment I don't think the British are going to be allowed anywhere near New Zealand. We do have a UK holiday booked for when I am in the third trimester but it's not very far from home.
@chubbyhotchoc oh it entirely depends on the baby (and me) - if it takes after my husband it'll be the most laid back kid on the planet... if it takes after me it'll probably be pretty hyperactive - but I don't get why people advise such pessimism as a starting point it's just not really the end of the world if I decide I'm not up for camping with the baby or want to work 4 days a week instead of 5. Maybe I'm unusual in not being bothered about adjusting my expectations as we go?
