@nearlyamummyof2boys good to hear !! Hope your back gets better 💙

Pinktruffle · 25/06/2020 16:12

That must have been so scary @nearlyamummyof2boys. Glad to hear that all is well with the baby and hope you manage to get some relief for your back

EithneBlue · 25/06/2020 16:13

@nearlyamummyof2boys - that sounds like a dramatic morning! Glad all was well :-)

@ChampooPapi - I am firmly glued to my SPF30 after getting burned in the cloudy weather last weekend!
This heat is far less awful than that oppressive humidity we had last week though - I never find dry heat so bad. I do wish I could go for a swim though.

Beccarans89 · 25/06/2020 17:22

@nearlyamummyof2boys bless you that does sound like a crazy morning! I'm glad they were able to see you quickly and reassure you that everything is ok!

My scanxiety has arrived with a vengeance today!! My 20 week scan is on Tuesday (I'll actually only be 18+6) and I'm now panicking there will be a major problem or no heartbeat! Even googling stats around it 🙄 has everyone else been feeling lots of movement? I've felt things on and off for a couple of weeks but I'm a FTM so hard to decide if it's baby or not! Also I was overweight when I got pregnant so carry weight on my tummy so not sure if that's cushioning it. I can just go a few days without feeling anything and now I'm getting worried! Sorry for the long post, I needed to vent xx

Nosheennaveed · 25/06/2020 17:31

Hi everyone hope you don’t mind me jumping into this group. I’m due early December and just had my 16 week scan. I just want to know if I’m having a boy or girl? Can anyone have a look please. What do you think?

@Beccarans89 don’t worry too much it’s very early still to trying to focus on patterns. I’m a first time mum too, 18 weeks on Monday and haven’t felt anything.

peachypetite · 25/06/2020 19:01

@nearlyamummyof2boys that sounds so scary, hope you have something for the sore back.

Beccarans89 · 25/06/2020 19:03

@peachypetite thank you for your reply! That's good to hear, I'm glad I'm not alone! These few weeks just feel like such a long wait don't they, hard to not worry sometimes. Hope you're feeling ok and all going well 🙂

peachypetite · 25/06/2020 19:10

I know. It will be interesting to find out where the placenta is at the 20 week scan.

lc86 · 25/06/2020 20:12

Anyone else suffering with cankles in this heat 😫

Awkes · 25/06/2020 22:10

Oh gosh @nearlyamummyof2boys glad to hear you and baby are ok apart from a bad back. You rest up easy and take care of yourself!

I had the private scan today and found out it’s a GIRL!! ❤️❤️ Really chuffed even tho I was saying boy all this time and OH is over the moon and smug to have guessed right when I didn’t.

Hope you’re all keeping cool in this heat! I’ve been so uncomfortable 😭 forecasting thunderstorms round mine now so I’m hoping it cools plenty. I’ll cry if it’s all muggy again

nearlyamummyof2boys · 25/06/2020 23:51

Congrats @Awkes 💓💓

@Beccarans89 im 19+1 and haven't felt anything at all yet! I didn't for ages with my first as well x

Amyyy1 · 26/06/2020 02:34

@Awkes Congratulations on your lil girl!!!😍

excitednerves · 26/06/2020 05:05

Ah we really are getting to the good bit now aren’t we?

I felt movement yesterday (17 weeks) but it’s second time for me. First time I must have been nearly 20 weeks and had an anterior placenta too.

My scan isn’t for another 3 weeks! But time is flying in! It’s the day before my DS’s first birthday and the end of my first week back at work after maternity leave for number 1. Crazy times.

Our house purchase seems to be going ok. There was such a flurry of stuff to do at the start and now I just feel like we’re in limbo. Really hoping for some updates soon so we can start planning the move.

PipTed · 26/06/2020 06:37

@nearlyamummyof2boys so sorry to hear about your fall! Glad the hospital acted quickly and all is ok with baby; hope your back gets better soon!

Plenty of rest, especially in the heat!

@emma911030 you’ve got your full name and other identifying info on those pics!

emma911030 · 26/06/2020 07:43

@peachypetite oh no, thank you. I have reported post but is there another way to remove?

jojanna · 26/06/2020 08:23

We had a (private) scan at 19 weeks yesterday - largely so the OH could come see, and maybe find out the gender together, ahead of the 20 week scan next week. It was really lovely! Makes it a bit more real again - reassuring to see it both real and moving/alive! They agreed with the hospital's dating estimation (they thought 3 weeks further along than us - which means it probably came skiing with us after all), and... after 7 other girls in the OH's family, it's... another girl!

She definitely looked to be wriggling around a fair bit, but still not felt a thing on the movement front, and they suggested that the placenta was at the back. I guess there's a fair amount of variation with baby size, muscle tone, fluid volumes etc? Googling bump pictures at 19/20 weeks, many bumps look a lot more pronounced/defined than me, but they reckoned that baby was about average size for this point.

nearlyamummyof2boys · 26/06/2020 09:13

Beautiful picture @jojanna - all bumps are different I didn't have one till 7 months with my first.
I'm pretty sure now mines just isolation weight gain rather then bump 😂

@excitednerves I totally know what you mean with the house I felt like when I was looking and emailing estate agents it was none stop. Now it's all gone through I feel useless - surely there's something I can do to speed it along lol.
I can't buy anything till we move either which is so hard to resist!

Hope everyone is well today and surviving in the heat - where are these thunderstorms!? ⚡️

nearlyamummyof2boys · 26/06/2020 09:15

Seems like we are having a flurry of girls now - after a row of boys 💙💓💙💓💙💓

lc86 · 26/06/2020 09:38

Aww congratulations on the baby girls 💖💖

firstbabybell · 26/06/2020 10:20

@jojanna lovely pic - she looks very snuggly in there!

@ic86 yes to the cankles! 😫

@nearlyamummyof2boys glad everything is ok with baby. How is your back?

I am so bloated today. Can hardly sit down it's so uncomfortable. Lord knows what it's like when you are actually stuffed full of baby!

excitednerves · 26/06/2020 10:28

@nearlyamummyof2boys same here. There’s a definite bump but I think it’s be there whether I was pregnant or not! Ha ha ha! Mostly chocolate and pizza!

So lovely to see everyone’s bumps. I’m envious of how neat they are! Everyone is looking great!

On the house front, we’re moving quite a long distance so we’ve decided to sell most of our furniture, travel light and buy new when we get there. Makes it really hard to resist buying either baby or house stuff for a while!

ChampooPapi · 26/06/2020 10:51

@nearlyamummyof2boys your fall sounds horrifying! The universe owes you some serious zen for the next 4 months now, and definitely a visit to the chiropractor now they are starting up is prescribed from me.

It's Friday again ladies and we are reaching the end of June, April was sickening, May was migraine central, June has been a very mixed bag all and all, the good, the bad, the successes, the anxiety, and the down right bloody awful for some of us.

July is going to amazing. I've had a word with it (vague threats have been made) so this is going to be our best month yet.

Bring on the 20 week scans, and and end to the hellish nesua that I'd still effecting a fair few of you wonderful and brilliant women 📅💪👣
