@PopsicleHustler so sorry I completely missed your post about your scan! Glad all was okay 😊

@Louscarlet I totally get your reluctance to tell her.. And 🤞 all is going well.

So.. I had to tell my boss yesterday as she was asking about me going back to work.. I said I was happy to go back but I needed to tell her that I'm 12 weeks pregnant 😂 she was lovely about it but I was so nervous telling her!

What dates are everyones scans? Mines the 15th and I'm getting very stressed/worried something will be wrong.. I'm regretting not having an earlier scan to see heartbeat etc..

12weeks today (by lmp!)

TTC24 · 10/07/2020 08:55

Hey everyone, sorry for being quiet. I had my midwife on Wednesday for bloods, and my scan has come through and it is for the 24th! I'm 9w2d today. Hope everyone is well, everyone is safe and babies are healthy💛xx

Hi I'm new to this forum. I'm in my mid thirties and pregnant with number 4. My Youngest is 12- been a while since I have been expecting! I'm due the first week in jan. I've already had my first scan, bloods etc. My papp-a hormone is low and they've told me to expect a small baby, (all my others were also small). I am still suffering with morning sickness and feel exhausted pretty much 24/7. It is all worth it in the end. Anyway, I'm glad I found this thread Smile. I hope everyone is well.

PopsicleHustler · 14/07/2020 11:55

Congratulations @BabyBubble4
I'm also in my 30s, approaching 33 and on baby number 5!

PopsicleHustler · 14/07/2020 11:55

Hi @Pol96 no worries. Hope you're doing well also :)

Pol96 · 14/07/2020 13:59

Congratulations @BabyBubble4

@PopsicleHustler I'm okay thank you.. Just getting very nervous about my first ever scan tomorrow 😅 any tips to reduce the worry?!

PopsicleHustler · 14/07/2020 20:42

Hi @pol96 hope you're having a nice day so far.
Nothing to be nervous about. I was more anxious about the blood tests than I was about the scans. I'm needle phobic and hate the sight of blood too.
But in the end I just got on with it and held a nurses hand.
Just be positive and look forward to seeing your little one on screen
How far along are you by first day of last period. I had my scan just under 2 weeks weeks and I'm 13 weeks plus one now
Cant waitnfor my next scan in September and hopefully be able to find out the sex, God willing!

Pol96 · 14/07/2020 20:48

@PopsicleHustler hi, and yes we went for a nice walk thank you 😊 how was your day?
I'll be 12+6 tomorrow, by the day of my last period (but I think I'll be more like 12+3ish as I know I ovulated later) I'm not too worried about the blood tests, just the results 😅 and I'm hoping they tell me very quickly there's a heartbeat etc.
I also can't wait to find out the sex, I hate referring to my baby as "it"

PopsicleHustler · 15/07/2020 13:04

@Pol96 I'm doing good thank you. Just wanting the morning sickness and nausea to pass now!

Yesterday decided to go to The Range. Wish I hadn't bothered although we desperately needed new bulbs for the lamps and a new laundry basket and some books and pens for the kids. It was like a sauna in there. I literally had to sit down in a check whilst my eldest son who is 12, fanned me with a book lol. Was so happy to get home and have a lukewarm shower.

I'm 13 weeks plus 2 now and looking forward to September. That's when I have my 20 week scan. Unsure what am having. Usually I have good motherly instincts. With bad morning sickness it's always been a girl and with not too bad morning sickness it's been boys. Ive got 2 of each so far!
But this pregnancy has been something else. If I eat something heavy at dinner tome I have to go lie down where u am so shakey and weak. I'm dizzy and constantly nauseous but not throwing up. Whereas with the girls I was throwing up. So this one I cant put my finger on it lol. But hoping for a boy. But I'd be happy with either.

How was your scan today? Have you been already?

Pol96 · 15/07/2020 15:32

My scan went well.. The sonographer said everything as it should be 😊 x

PopsicleHustler · 16/07/2020 07:39

Excellent news @Pol96

Louscarlet · 16/07/2020 08:33

I have my scan tomorrow and I’m so anxious! Even though I had the 8 week one which was fine. I’ve come to the conclusion I don’t make a very good pregnant person Grin. I sort of knew this would be my only one esp at my age but this has cemented it! Nothing prepares you for the anxiety and new feelings. My boss assures me the anxiety won’t actually leave me until they turn 18 GrinGrinConfused Damn it!
I cried for the first time in a while yesterday being so close to my scan and finding out if everything is ok. We’re lucky enough (providing no changes to lockdown) to be going to Cornwall for a week mid-August. And it hit me yesterday just how anxious I’ve been for these past couple of months and how much I just need a break and to relax!
Hope everyone is well.
Welcome @BabyBubble4
and so glad the scan was good @Pol96
Praying for the same for me tomorrow x

PopsicleHustler · 16/07/2020 12:31

Best of luck for your scan tomorrow @louscarlet

How old are you, if you dont mind me asking?

Louscarlet · 16/07/2020 12:39

@PopsicleHustler thank you. I’ll be sure to update on this post once I’ve been.

I’m 39 turning the big 4-0 in about 3 weeks Confused. Took us a little while to fall pregnant and were about to go through IVF hence my increased anxiety Sad

PopsicleHustler · 16/07/2020 13:24

Wow. Well congratulations! Yes, please do keep us updated:)

Pol96 · 17/07/2020 08:58

Good luck @Louscarlet!

@Countrygirlmummy did you have your scan yesterday? Hope all went well x

Countrygirlmummy · 17/07/2020 13:09

@Pol96 Hi, yes I did indeed and yes all was good, was so lovely to see the little thing bouncing around, and our hospital started allowing fathers in from Tuesday so we were so lucky he could come to the scan 😍 feel very excited and it feels so much more real now!!! Glad to see yours went well too. I can’t stop looking at my scan picture x

Louscarlet · 17/07/2020 14:29

Hello everyone- had my scan today and all is well! Sadly no dads allowed still but I was able to film a little video clip at the end which was unexpected and lovely to be able to show my hubby.
Thanks everyone for the kind words and support these past few weeks x

Pol96 · 17/07/2020 20:11

Glad everyone's scans are going well!

Anyone know how long for combined results to come back? Obviously now worrying about that 😅

Floulou20 · 17/07/2020 21:24

@Pol96 my combined results took just over a week to come, glad you're scan went well Smile x

Wheezeymcleazy · 18/07/2020 08:13

Hi everyone ! I'm new on here. I wanted to wait to join threads and stuff when I knew all was ok. Had my scan on Monday there and all looking good so far 😊 I'm 14+1 today Smile Has anyone done the Sneak Peek test ? I did one as I'd seen it was 99.1% accurate but the further I looked into it afterwards it was showing that they're inaccurate a LOT lol. So now I've booked a gender scan also just to confirm.

Countrygirlmummy · 18/07/2020 08:57

@Pol96 oh yes still that hurdle to come! Fingers crossed for us all.

@Wheezeymcleazy welcome and congratulations!!
I think we will get the gender at the 20week scan, looking forward to that.

I can’t believe trimester 1 is done. This is going to go so quickly. Besotted with my scan picture, feels so real x

Pol96 · 18/07/2020 10:35

My results came this morning, so took about 3 days. Low risk for all 3.

Welcome and congratulations @Wheezeymcleazy no I've not done the sneak peak test, but have booked a private scan for about 18 weeks to find out gender 😊

Wheezeymcleazy · 18/07/2020 10:42

I'm waiting on NIPT testing results (can't remember if that's the name of it lol) I was put forward 6 days at my scan so I shot into second trimester that bit sooner hehe. I've been told "no news is good news" with the blood results but that doesn't sit right. I'd rather be told everything is ok.

Pol96 · 18/07/2020 10:45

@Wheezeymcleazy I was thinking the no news is good news too.. I believe they call you if its high risk within a few days.. So if it was done Monday I'd assume its low risk if you've not heard yet.. Maybe call your midwife? She might be able to see the results already?
