@TTC24 hats off to you! Yeah I’m tired but I’m furloughed! You have a bigger reason to be, bravo!!

@Pol96 ha! What a coincidence, yeah that is strange they take your word for it, I kind of want to be told I’m pregnant just to be 100% convinced!

I’ve managed to be on top of my nausea over the last couple of days (hooray!) by eating little and often, otherwise I go completely off food and it’s a vicious circle. Also wearing my travel bands which could be helping.. but as long as I feel better with them on they are staying on.

Hope you are all ok? x

Floulou20 · 15/06/2020 15:15

@TTC24 your doing fab!! Hats off to you I can't imagine how tired you must be. Like pp's I'm furloughed too so I'm just finding things to do round the house and even that's tiring sometimes lol!

@Pol96 it's crazy isn't it I've always found it weird how they just take your word for it. Glad you've had your booking app, it really does make it feel all real, I can't wait to start getting a bit of a bump then I think it will hit me

@Countrygirlmummy woohoo! It feels like an accomplishment keeping the nausea at bay, I feel exactly the same having to eat little and often or I feel terribly nauseous I've been taking hob nobs up to bed with me so I have a snack for the morning before I get up haha!

I've finally received my scan date through the post woohoo! 1st July although I've just booked a private scan for this Wednesday so DH can come with me as I wanted us to experience it together. Hope your all keeping well, loving hearing how your all getting on 😊

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 16:36

@Floulou20 1st July isn't that far away!! Hope mine is as soon as that, But you're a couple of weeks ahead of me I think, so probably won't be. I can't wait to start getting a bump too! And feeling the baby move!

Countrygirlmummy · 15/06/2020 16:55

@Floulou20 lovely that you have your scan through, have you booked a private one because of Covid issues? Can husbands not attend the NHS one?
I think I’ll have to start on bedroom snacks for the morning 👍 good plan

TTC24 · 15/06/2020 17:05

Thank all you lovely ladies, I'm really feeling the effect working is having and eventually when I'm getting higher in weeks and bigger in waist😂 I'll be able to cut my hours down. This may sound stupid, but anyone else started showing a bit at 6w with their first? Madness I know!

OP posts:
Pol96 · 15/06/2020 17:05

@Countrygirlmummy I asked my midwife today and no partners allowed to nhs scan. She said hopefully by the time I have my baby partners can be in for more than just active labour.. So a bit scary that this could still be happening in January!

Pol96 · 15/06/2020 17:07

@TTC24 could they not cut them down a bit now? The first trimester is supposedly the most exhausting one..?
I think I have a bit of a bump but could also be bloating.. I don't think you start to show until about 12 weeks with your first.. So I'm assuming mines bloating.

Floulou20 · 15/06/2020 17:38

@Countrygirlmummy yeah I've booked the private one due to the COVID situation my hospital isn't allowing partners in to nhs scans, I think most hospitals are the same at the moment, hopefully they relax it soon. Go for it!! It's a game changer I feel so much better once I've had a biscuit haha!

@TTC24 I was hoping mine was a bump but I think it's all bloating with me 😂 trying to drink glass after glass of water is hard work 😂

TTC24 · 15/06/2020 17:42

Yeah I'm more bloated but towards to bottom of my stomach leading to my foo has a bit more of a raise. And I've been fine drinking water when at work, it's when I'm at home I'm still so in love with fizzy pops!😂

In relation to my work hours, I am thinking of cutting down as I'm doing 37.5 a week, but I also need the money due to being so young

OP posts:
Floulou20 · 17/06/2020 09:01

It could well be the start of a little bump! 😁
Aw so jealous, I've gone right off fizzy pop and coffee, I miss my morning coffees 😩

Hopefully once your work knows they will let you take it a little easier.

I've got my blood test appointment this afternoon, I've never had a blood test before 😬 slightly queasy not sure if it's morning sickness or the thought of a needle haha!

TTC24 · 18/06/2020 14:25

How did the bloods go?
I had a scan yesterday (private so my partner could see) and we saw a little heartbeat and got to hear it too!
I'm 6w3 today, so estimated due date 8th Feb which is way off my dates😂😂

OP posts:
Floulou20 · 18/06/2020 16:07

They were fine 🙌 not as bad as I was expecting woohoo! Left an angry bruise though.
Aw that's brilliant so happy for you it's the best feeling hearing them say ' we have a heartbeat' isn't it 😊
Oh wow 😂 you never know baby could still come in January haha.
We also went for a private scan yesterday so dh could come, I burst into tears once she said we have a heartbeat the relief is unreal.
I'm measuring at 11 weeks 1 day so not far off what I originally worked out.
So pleased for you, will you have any more private scans or wait for the nhs one now?

TTC24 · 19/06/2020 13:38

Aww how lovely! I was full of smiles, I feel like once I see them growing more I'll be crying!
And I'll deffo go for more privates, I couldn't wait! I'm planning on booking one for 10/11w so DF can come and see as I feel so guilty he can't come to our 12w. Midwife next week, so exciting!!😭😭

Countrygirlmummy · 19/06/2020 14:10

Hi all, hope you’re all well, I had my booking appointment today, feeling more real now. Next step is waiting for a letter with my scan and bloods date. I think we’ll do a private scan too so hubby can come. Eeeeek exciting x

starsinyourpies · 19/06/2020 14:24

Due in January with my third! Feeling very sick today but otherwise all good and I have scan in ten days.

Floulou20 · 20/06/2020 09:20

All these hormones making us emotional haha!
Yeah me too I think I'm going to book a 16 week private one too, they are so worth the money especially at the moment when partners aren't allowed to come.
Aw lovely! Is that when you will have your bloods done? It feels more real with every new little thing that happens love that there is always something to countdown to 😁

@Countrygirlmummy so exciting! My midwife said I'd receive my scan date within a couple of weeks of booking in app and I received it 2 days after so it could be here soon 😊 yeah I think the private ones are amazing so worth it!

@starsinyourpies congratulations 😁 hope the sickness subsides for you soon, mine seems to have nearly gone now. Aw so exciting it will soon be here!

Countrygirlmummy · 20/06/2020 21:19

@Floulou20 ooo that was quick! Yeah not sure when to book a private scan for..

@starsinyourpies congratulations! Aw the sickness is horrid, mine is under control at the moment as long as I eat little and often. But I do get a nasty indigestion feeling in my throat throughout the day. And been wearing travel bands religiously (don’t want to take them off incase I revert back to feeling very nauseous again)

I‘m hoping for us all that Dad’s can come to scans ASAP!!! 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

TTC24 · 24/06/2020 08:53

Hello ladies, how is everyone today?

And congratulations to new mummies to be!! I've been VERY emotional recently, and on and off sickness. I'm also very annoyed that we could go to a pub(even though we wouldn't for that reason😂) or a restaurant with our DP's but cannot go to a scan together. It has really annoyed me.

I have a scan tomorrow and then my midwife over the phone on Friday!!

Hope everyone is well.

Floulou20 · 24/06/2020 10:47

Hello 😁
Feeling quite nauseous today don't know whether it's the heat making me feel worse. Sorry your not feeling too good it's definitely an emotional rollercoaster isn't it, I banged my toe the other day and burst out crying DH thought id gone mad ( though it did bloody well hurt haha)

I absolutely agree so upsetting that partners still can't attend scans yet I really do hope they relax this soon.

Aw lovely! Something to look forward to. Hope you start to feel better soon!
Enjoy the sunshine everyone 😊

Countrygirlmummy · 24/06/2020 11:46

Hi all, I’m still waiting for my scan date in the post... I’m 9 weeks yesterday, really really hoping Dad’s will be allowed to scans soon. The midwife I spoke to said it was due to there wasn’t room to social distance 2m in the room.. so now that it got relaxed to 1m I have everything crossed for us!!

I haven’t got the emotional outbursts (yet!), and nausea has eased a bit, still no appetite or desire for food though. I might be facing redundancy at work, which is scary in all sorts of ways. Trying to keep stress levels low and just deal with whatever happens when it happens.
Have a lovely scan @TTC24
Hope your nausea settles soon @Floulou20
Keep safe and well all x

Pol96 · 24/06/2020 12:10

Hi everyone,

I'm doing okay thanks @TTC24 trying to make myself eat more but nothing appeals still and feel nauseous a lot, still extremely tired all the time. Hope the scan goes well!

@Countrygirlmummy I'm waiting for my scan letter to arrive in the post too. Will be 10 weeks tomorrow.. And getting impatient to find out when it is!

I also have random emotional outbursts.. Trying to limit/hide them as much as possible because half the time I don't know why I'm crying!

I've seen some places are beginning to let partners to scans so fingers crossed we'll be okay.. I'll be calling my hospital once I get my letter to see whether they're allowing partners as soon as I get it. If they're not will be booking a private scan so I'm not alone if it's bad news.

TTC24 · 24/06/2020 12:55

@Floulou20 I feel the exact same. Crying over nothing! Hopefully we stop being so emotional😂

@Countrygirlmummy hopefully your scan comes through soon! I can imagine how long it seems. I feel like I've been pregnant for about 3 months already but really I'm only 7 weeks😂😂 and I'm the opposite when I feel sick I'm put off food, but when I feel okay I'm eating and eating hahaha.
Also hope everything is okay with work! Glad your able to try control your stress. And thank you!

@Pol96 I feel the same with tiredness, and by the sounds of it it only gets worse😂 my dp is still trying to understand that I'm not being a b!tch, but I cannot control my crying or snappy outbursts at the moment😂. Also I hope your scan comes very soon too! And that's how I feel, very worried for tomorrow in case it is bad news and I'm alone, he will be in the car outside but it just isn't the same.

OP posts:
Pol96 · 24/06/2020 13:02

@TTC24 you've seen your little beans heartbeat already so hopefully everything is all good!

Has anyone lost weight?? I've just weighed myself and I'm down half a stone since finding out I was pregnant.. My midwife said its normal but just wondering if anyone else has lost as much?

TTC24 · 24/06/2020 14:58

@Pol96 I know, i just can't help but panic. I'm sure you can all understand x

OP posts:
TTC24 · 24/06/2020 14:59

@Pol96 and yes, I've lost 3/4 pounds. I'm only skinny anyway, so I'm now 8st 6🙄
