I had my booking appt just before 7 weeks. I had called to register with them and then a week or so later got a call back and put on extra folic acid cos I'm chunky 🙈😂 and then she discussed when would be best for booking appt. Two days after my booking appt I had my 12 week scan date letter through. She said booking is usually between 8 and 10 weeks

TerribleImagination · 09/06/2020 10:11

@IshaPoet It took a while for me to hear from the midwife too, probably about a week and a half. She did my booking in appointment over the phone at 8 weeks. They generally aim for the booking in between 8-10 weeks, so I wouldn’t worry.

That’s horrible they were rude to you though! No need for that.

lilypad88 · 09/06/2020 10:13

@IshaPoet yea I got mine already and wasn't event 6 weeks by then! You should defo call back...

@Hopefulmummie thinking of you girl! Hope all is okay 🙏🏻

Have had a lot of pulling, like a stitch sensation, I slept terribly... Do you guys ever get that? I hope it's normal... I feel like I'm gonna buy this pregnancy pillow earlier than I should, I'm just so uncomfortable at night atm :s do you guys dream a lot as well?? I have the weirdest dreams atm..

6+1

Wineandrun · 09/06/2020 10:16

My booking isn’t until 10 weeks x

CoalCraft · 09/06/2020 10:17

My GP surgery wouldn't let me make a booking appointment till eight weeks, but after that they fit me in touch with midwife same day. I think anywhere from 8-10 weeks is normal, even though it feels like it takes forever to get the ball rolling.

Everything in pregnancy seems to take so long. So much waiting!

@lilypad88 I had a stitch like feeling all night and was a bit worried, turned out to be gas Blush

@Hopefulmummie thinking of you

BabyG123 · 09/06/2020 10:32

@Wheezeymcleazy did you get told to take baby aspirin too? I have extra folic and vitamin d and that too

@IshaPoet there's no rush for the booking in as long as it's before your scan. Bloods are taken then too. Don't panic.

So midwife couldn't see any sign of pregnancy in my womb or anywhere else for it to be ectopic but said it doesn't sound like I've bled enough for it to me a miscarriage. She's getting a Dr to come up to rescan me as doesn't know what's going on.
But seems like bad news :(

Grumpy19 · 09/06/2020 10:33

I am 7+5 and was told yesterday that the GP had referred me to the wrong midwives. I was given another number to phone but keeps going to answer phone and nobody calls back.
I know it makes little difference to the long term outcome but it doesn't fill me with confidence either.

Grumpy19 · 09/06/2020 10:35

So sorry @Hopefulmummie. I hope the doctor can give you some answers. X

Wheezeymcleazy · 09/06/2020 10:40

So sorry to hear that @Hopefulmummie 😢

Wheezeymcleazy · 09/06/2020 10:41

@BabyG123 not been put on aspirin. It wasn't mentioned. Is that just to take when over weight ?

Sophiamel987 · 09/06/2020 10:42

@lilypad88 I was sleeping really bad last week when I turned 6 weeks, I was waking up at 2am and awake for hours just uncomfortable. I was also have really vivid dreams. It’s settled a lot more this week and I’ve been able to sleep a bit longer but I’m still very uncomfortable on a night.
@Hopefulmummie hope you get some answers hun, thinking of you x

Hopefulmummie · 09/06/2020 11:30

so the Dr rescanned me and seen an ectopic pregnancy :( I can't believe it I'm so gutted.

I had to give bloods and they are gonna ring me to come back in in 2 hours to talk through treatment. It will either be an injection or surgery.

Thank you all for your thoughts I appreciate it x
