@chubbyhotchoc beautiful bag!
@ChampooPapi lovely way to honour your grandmothers.
Anyone else up for sharing names?

EithneBlue · 16/06/2020 07:51

@Peachypetite - the only thing we know about names so far is how many we don't like ... LOL.

@EithneBlue it's so hard! At the moment I like Jasmine and dh likes Felicity. Tbh I don't love it either. I really want to fall in love with a name but I don't think it's going to happen

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 08:44

Thanks @peachypetite ☺️

I find looking through the names in film credits can sometimes throw up some options, there is so many names that usually one or two jump out at you and make it into a 'maybe' list 🤔

With my last I got to the point where I was looking at people's name badges constantly in my quest for the perfect name 😆

@Dee96 all my upcoming appointments were booked in at the 12 week scan. My 20 week scan is on 7th July, which is our 2nd weddIng anniversary ❤️ If you have your maternity notes or access to them online it should show them there 😊

chubbyhotchoc · 16/06/2020 08:57

Omg I got on scales this morning and I've put in 2lb 😭😭 9lb up so far now.,I'm being really careful about what I eat too. Somebody tape my gob shut

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:01

@PipTed mine is the 7th of July too 🙌

@Dee96 yes it should have been booked at your twelve week scan, you book it yourself at reception after the scan in most cases. Did you just leave afterwards? Because you can ring them up and they will book you in lovely, you'll get a few time and day options this time as well ☺️

@chubbyhotchoc I know the feeling! I weighed myself on Fri (as I had my 16 week phone appointment and didn’t know if I’d need to tell midwife) and it wasn’t looking too bad! Obviously I got cocky over the weekend because of this - I weighed myself yesterday and I had gained 3lbs in 3 days!!!! Not cool. Need to be super healthy Now as I was hoping I’d only gain around 7lbs in the entire 20 weeks! I’m currently over that already. 🙈

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:03

@PipTed my due date is the 24th, are you the 25th? I've lost track completely but I can't comprehend doing a list currently, there are so many of us but mostly my brain is too weak, lol!.

I'll definitely do one when I'm pretty much immobile in the third trimester, as a sort of countdown situation ⏰🐣

PipTed · 16/06/2020 09:04

@ChampooPapi aww brilliant! I think we’re some of the lucky ones with relatively early scan dates. I’ll be almost 20 weeks then (shy by 2 days) does that mark your 20th Week?

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:04

@chubbyhotchoc your retaining water too so don't be hard on yourself! This is coming from the woman who ate two flake ice creams in bed last night and is about to make a baked cheesecake though....

PipTed · 16/06/2020 09:04

@ChampooPapi my due date is 26th 😊

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:06

@PipTed I'll be 20 weeks that day as it's a Tuesday. I'm 17 today so the three week countdown begins. So are you the 26th?

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:07

@PipTed 🥰 oh brill, I'm getting excited about a November baby, my other two are March

OP posts:
PipTed · 16/06/2020 09:10

@ChampooPapi yes the 26th (there’s a few of us due on the date, so it’s confusing) 😊 can’t believe we’re on the countdown to the halfway point; just weeks away! I have a consultant appointment next week too, so I’m hoping I can at least get a listen to a heartbeat there, to keep me going until the scan!

chubbyhotchoc · 16/06/2020 09:12

@ChampooPapi I think I'm beating myself up because I kept a diary with my first and I'd only put 4lb on at this point last time and I was lighter to begin with. I do wonder if this is a bigger baby though. I wonder when baby genetics kick in

PipTed · 16/06/2020 09:12

@ChampooPapi I know, the perfect early Xmas present. And it means we can enjoy a drink over the festive period too! Not that I’m missing it or anything 🙈😂

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:12

@PipTed I hope they do, you'd usually get to listen at the midwife 16 week anyway so I would imagine your consultant will. It does feel like the next few weeks will drag a bit, but plenty of baby bits to research and window shop online in the meantime. I seem to have a fetish for the colour brown at the moment 😬. I'm concerned it's hormonal 😅

@PipTed I love a good pregnancy detox as much as the next woman but mark my words , i'll be having a few generous pours over Christmas this year! I was practically drooling at my partners ice cold beer bottle the other evening 🙄

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:23

@chubbyhotchoc I do think you often do put less weight on with first babies. Usually you are a leaner and have less potential spread ore pregnancy the first time round. After one round of baby, labour, the second time everything definitely seems to increase quicker! I'm not even looking at the scales until my babies are out and I'm at least 6 months post partum. I will cry otherwise 😂.

I'm not a drinker at all, probably drink 3-4 times a year, but I've been craving cocktails this whole pregnancy, especially when we had the scorching hot weather, I settled for an alcohol free koppaberg

I've gained 6lb so far, I didn't think that was too bad, the website I looked at suggested a weight gain of 0.4 - 0.6lb per week, so I'm on the lower end of that.

ChampooPapi · 16/06/2020 09:55

@kkr168 I just turn away when they weigh me! I'm hardly mainlining macky D's, I'm vegatarian anyway and cook and eat well. But God I need those sweet evening treats, to be honest I really think if I stopped my desert consumption I'd still be gaining more then I'd like. Pregnancy its important to stay healthy for certain but the body balloons whether one is on a strict diet or not I think!

I still haven't got my 20 week scan date. They were meant to book it at the 12 week scan but appointments weren't available then. Am going to ask the midwife about it on my 16 week call next Wednesday if I haven't got a letter before then.

I'm feeling a bit paranoid that something's wrong and the baby isn't growing..my waist has gained inches as has my bust, but I don't have a bump, just not flat like before, and I've only gained the weight I lost in the first trimester. I know it's all subjective, and still early days in terms of how big the baby is, but just feels scary that I could get to my 20 week scan with no real bump and not feeling movement or anything.
