@HarrietM87 when I had my morning sickness I didn't have any chocolate or sweets for 4-5 weeks - unheard of for me so shows how drastically your body changes!!

mamayoucefka · 14/06/2020 21:44

I had my private scan today too. I m 16+2 and I am having my dreamy baby girl 💗💗💗 I m completely over the moon, my son on the other hand isnt impressed at all...lol.
The only thing is that baby seems to be in a breech position at the moment although they ensured me its still early days and it can change... my 20th scan is in a months time I hope she will have turned by then💗

Wise0wl · 14/06/2020 22:31

Hi all,

Congrats to all the scans - we found out yesterday we’re expecting a boy (so joining you @NatalieH2220!) and are delighted!

@BuffaloCauliflower we’re planning to do a similar thing and keep our spare bed as it’ll be good for just in case/an alternative room to sleep in but are going to re-decorate the room I think!

I’m definitely feeling movements at 17+4, just occasionally when I’m lying on my back. It’s starting to feel very real now we’ve told our families this weekend, just got work to tell this week which I’m stressed about!

Hope you’re all doing ok 🙂

Hancock2020 · 14/06/2020 22:32

@mamayoucefka mines breach as well it's nothing to worry about

BuffaloCauliflower · 14/06/2020 23:24

@Hancock2020 the Linda McCartney ones are nice but not real sausagey to me. They’re not going to trick anyone! Richmond meat free, Naked Glory or Quorn are the best in my book (but some people don’t get on with Quorn)

BuffaloCauliflower · 14/06/2020 23:25

@Wise0wl we rent so do as little actual decorating as possible, but we’re moving some furniture around and will put some pictures and stuff up in there so it’s a bit nicer. We might do more if/when it becomes a proper child’s room.
What’s stressing you about telling work?

HarrietM87 · 15/06/2020 09:52

@mamayoucefka the baby is still tiny - it literally turns upside down and back again all day every day. Positioning isn’t an issue at all until about 36 weeks and even then they can still move. There’s a website called spinning babies that’s useful but you literally don’t need to worry about it for months!

mamayoucefka · 15/06/2020 09:55

@HarrietM87 I really hope so. She got me freaked out a bit 😂

futuredreams · 15/06/2020 11:09

@mamayoucefka yeh I had a private one yesterday. I'm 20 weeks today. She was also in breech position. Didn't say that just put it in the notes. Panicked a little until I realised all I can feel all day is her flipping back and forth and knew that might change. 😂

Didn't get one good photo though. She's been so active in all my scans I haven't managed a good one yet. Hoping they get what they need at my official "20 week "one which isn't for another two weeks. 😩 or I should call it in my case - my almost 22 week scan. 😂

Hancock2020 · 15/06/2020 11:40

Are any of you feeling exhausted? I was expecting to feel a bit more energetic by now, but I'm not, I could literally just sleep all day. But then when I go to bed i cant actually go to sleep 🙄

MrsR87 · 15/06/2020 12:09

@Hancock2020

Exhaustion is literally my only symptom and has been throughout my pregnancy so far. It’s really shocked me how much it’s affected me. I’m usually in my physical place of work from 7.30-5.30 and then do a couple of hours at home in the evening and of course I’m tired but nothing special. I’m currently working online from around 9am until 5pm and I’m exhausted. If I do anything physical I have to have a rest. Usually to fit in cleaning around my job, I do a big blitz on a Saturday or Sunday (OH does it too...half and half). So I will usually clean the three bathrooms, polish all surfaces in all rooms, clean the mirrors, do the ironing and make the bed. Takes me a couple of hours and I’m good to do something afterwards. These days cleaning one bathroom take me ages and results in me needing to sit down for about 30 mins! I feel so useless 😥. However, I’m super grateful that this is my only symptom. My mum us awful morning sickness for both her pregnancies. In fact she was on a drip in hospital for two months with my younger brother! She always wanted three kids, but was told if she did she would likely be in hospital for at least half her pregnancy!

Pink15 · 15/06/2020 12:13

Agree with all those saying not to panic with breech babies at this point - on my last scan baby was flipping around all over the place literally doing summersalts so is definitely not in one position yet 😂

My exhaustion seems to have eased the last 2 weeks and although I'm still sleeping a lot of hours in the night, I'm feeling much more normal in the day. It was by far my most severe symptom in the first trimester which I was shocked about as no one really had told me about it before!

Pumpkin108 · 15/06/2020 14:02

We also found out we’re having a baby girl :) seems a lot of girls on here!

OurLittlePumpkin · 15/06/2020 14:05

Thanks everyone for info on baby buys and secondhand purchases. I'll get on the case in 2 weeks after scan! Counting down the days 😜
Omg the exhaustion is like nothing I've ever felt. I'm shattered by 9am and relying on diet coke today it would seem 😂 I get home from work at 6pm and instantly flop onto the sofa, don't have the energy to do anything! I've only just managed to start looking after myself a bit, like remembering to pluck my eyebrows since lockdown started - good lord they needed it!

MillieFTM · 15/06/2020 15:06

Anyone struggling with back ache?
I'm 19 weeks and barely have a bump, pretty sure no one would guess I was pregnant if they saw me so it can't really be weight! Sitting all day working from home isn't helping but stretching/standing/walking don't fix it.

Oatmilk1 · 15/06/2020 15:10

@MillieFTM

Yes, my back started hurting a few weeks ago so I have been seeing an osteo to help with it and was recommended some strengthening exercises. I also don't have much of a bump yet.

Hancock2020 · 15/06/2020 15:34

@MillieFTM yes my back is killing me

MillieFTM · 15/06/2020 15:49

Thanks for the replies, glad it's not just me! Driving me mad! Expected it once I had a bump but now my husband just thinks I'm moaning 😂

OurLittlePumpkin · 15/06/2020 16:20

Yep my back is killing me too. I recommend the bbhugme pillow, been using it almost a month now it's very supportive and feels great on your neck and back.
What are everyone's thoughts with tiger balm (red) - I used it pre-pregnancy for things like shoulder pains. Their website says it's fine to use in pregnancy but has anyone actually used it yet?

SqidgeBum · 15/06/2020 17:32

My back is also very sore in the evenings. I have rooted out my old birthing ball. I always found sitting on that helped my back a lot compared to sitting on the couch. Also, I have heard it's good for positioning baby later on.

MrsR87 · 15/06/2020 17:44

My back and neck are hurting but I think it’s more because I am sat at a computer all day using unsuitable equipment whereas usually I hardly sit down at all.

Addler · 15/06/2020 18:02

Yes my back's been killing me for weeks, waiting on a gynae physio referral.

It seems my pregnancy emotions haven't calmed down yet, DP came into the room to find me crying over some newborn sleep suits because they're so small. I had taken them off the coat hanger and folded them up and then had a realisation that for ten years I've folded up babies clothing, but I've never folded up clothes for my baby.

Clove20 · 15/06/2020 18:10

First day back at work after two weeks off due to sciatica.
My manager who I've felt has singled me out for months was as horrid as ever. Reduced to tears by the end of the day.
My mum and partner thinks it's time I said something as it's been 6/7months of her just being horrid at me.

Not sure how to go about it. Has anyone ever had to raise anything about their manager?

I was really hoping I could just keep my head down until September as I plan on starting maternity from October anyway.

CoffeeCakeCream · 15/06/2020 19:15

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping in Smile
Due 3rd November and have my scan tomorrow, feeling a bit nervy about it at the moment for some reason. Think its probably tiredness getting the better of me, like lots of you I feel like I'm constantly exhausted at the moment yet can't sleep at night and when I do get to sleep I have to pee - such a beautiful time!

Wigglebum87 · 15/06/2020 19:26

First time (paranoid) mum here, 19+3 and flutters just under my belly button, could this be baby movement?
