No stretch marks here yet either. Hoping it stays that way, have been using bio oil too! Where abouts would they usually be? Just in the bump area?

Baby has been moving loads over the the last couple of days too. Not sure if it’s because she likes the heat or hates it?!

This heat is killing me! Would love to go swimming in an outdoor pool right now. Sleeping badly too. I usually love the sun and tanning too Grin

Mummapenguin20 · 25/06/2020 11:49

My first two pregnancys i had none this one my lower bump is covered lol x

cannotmakemymindup · 25/06/2020 12:25

@squashie34 I had a fab ice lolly at about 3am as I just couldn't go back to sleep in the heat and I was aware I needed to wake up early for scan.

My scan went well, baby is well proportioned. Not to big or anything to worry about. I think I just have a big bump as I am so short.

Well to all you lucky ladies with the 0 stretch marks, I was a size 6 clothes and a 32B boobs before getting pregnant, now I’m a size HOUSE and my boobs are size BOULDERS so I have stretch marks everywhere, especially on my inner thighs and bum. But hey ho, they will always remind of the little miracle my body grew 🥰

Hope your all well today!

JMill13 · 25/06/2020 15:48

Hope you're all managing a little better today in the heat. Its about 24 degrees here today so I've just been hibernating in the living room away from the sun. Daydreaming of lying in a pool.

Me and my friends are planning a little walk on Sunday (was supposed to be last week but then it rained heavily all damn day) but after taking the dog a walk yesterday morning I don't want to walk anymore 😂 the pain under bump on the right hand side during isn't pleasant, I actually had to just sit on a bench for 5 minutes, assuming it's just ligament stretching pains but jesus it hurts. Have had it happen since weeks ago but yesterday was the worst ever. Starting to wonder how I'm going to cope with labour if I can't cope with walking pain 🙈

2020Aug · 25/06/2020 17:04

I've got a couple of stretch marks on my boobs, but I literally went from an A to C/D overnight when I was about 5 weeks pregnant 😂 - it was mad and they've stayed this size ever since, so it's not surprising. I haven't noticed any anywhere else yet.

I've noticed my abs have split and already feels like quite a big gap so I'm dreading what it will be like post baby 😭. I've been trying not to worry about my body changes, but I had a strong core pre-pregnancy due to my hobbies and can't wait to get back to them, so I've been dreading the abdominal seperation (even though I know its common).

I am finding the heat hard today, my feet are really swollen and haven't even dared to go outside. We've got a groegg for when baby gets here but put it on in our room last night to see what it's like and it was 30°C in our bedroom. I'm now worrying what it will be like come august for the baby!

Oldestchild90s · 25/06/2020 18:13

@2020Aug Goes to show all i think about is food i thought you said you got a Greggs today i was like mmmm 😂 would you recommend the Groegg? I'm also worried about my body after the baby but i think it's something i may just have to accept 😭 i was in amazing shape before but i always wanted to be better, now i realise i was probably at my peak and won't be like that again!

If it is genetically linked then i really am stuffed 😂

heroineinahalfshell · 25/06/2020 18:39

I'm the opposite of you ladies - i was massively unfit and steadily gaining weight (16-18) pre-pregnancy, and since being preggo/lockdown daily walks I feel so much healthier and feel like I look better too. I genuinely love my pregnant body!

I think cos I already had big thighs/boobs I don't have any stretch marks yet. I've got loads from puberty though so I am expecting them!

We just got back from Aldi - they've got their baby event on and I didn't trust my DH to get things. Highly recommend it - I got muslins, a hooded towel, tommee tippee bottle, baby sunscreen, a battery fan to clip on the pram (thought it might be good for naps in the heat), and a handheld battery fan for me (for the hospital), all for about £20! I would have bought their highchair too but DH objected on the grounds it's far too early, haha.

Superscientist · 25/06/2020 18:50

I'm worried about my abs too. I briefly got a domed bump a month or so ago when sitting up and lying down. I've not noticed it for a while but I have been extra careful to not use my abs. I was finally happy with my body before I conceived I'm trying to remind myself that it more came down to my state of mind than my body. I can and will be happy again afterwards regardless of what it looks like.... I am prepared for it to take a bit of getting used to but so did this growing bump!!

I managed to keep down some antinausea meds at lunchtime so I've been able to eat and hydrate this afternoon. I feel so much better for it! I have been sat downstairs with a fan all day, just popped into the study and its still reading 28oc upstairs is so warm.... It's tempting to sleep on the sofa!

Beau2020 · 25/06/2020 20:46

@2020aug I'm the same, I've got bad stretch marks all over my boobs but nowhere else. I don't really think I've put my weight on anywhere else apart from my boobs and belly. Expecting stretch marks on my belly as it's starting to itch and feel painfully stretched x

Firstmummytobe · 25/06/2020 20:53

@Oldestchild90s I thought she said greggs too I’d kill for a sausage and bean pasty 😂😂😂😂

Oldestchild90s · 25/06/2020 21:09

@Firstmummytobe Hows it going for you? Are things a little better now? 🙂

sel2223 · 25/06/2020 21:32

Ugh stretch marks! I'm expecting them and dreading them but nothing so far.....been alternating every day between Palmers cocoa butter and bio oil but I do think its more down to genetics than anything else and my sisters only appeared after she'd given birth!

Anyone else feeling really unwell with this heat? I haven't even been out today and i'm drinking plenty water but I'm absolutely exhausted, got a pounding headache, felt sick all day and got a weird tummy ache.

Beau2020 · 25/06/2020 21:39

@sel2223 I'm super exhausted too with the heat! I'm so happy to say tomorrow is my last day at work and then I'll be starting my maternity 🙌 YAY! Can finally just relax

sel2223 · 25/06/2020 21:46

@Beau2020 tomorrow is my last day at work too! I've got so much annual leave to take im taking all of July off then start maternity on 1st Aug.
Enjoy your last day. Sorry you're feeling rubbish too!

ml01omm · 25/06/2020 21:47

Evening Ladies

If its any help at all - I currently have a wet sarong wrapped over my legs and feet. Not sure how long it will stay cool, but its hitting the spot at the moment. I am willing it to rain, which is something I never thought I would say!

NamiSwan · 25/06/2020 22:27

@2020Aug I had bad ab separation with both my previous pregnancies. Ended up seeing a private womans physio at 18 months postpartum with my second, and the ab separation was still around 5cm even though i had tried regular exercises. I managed to get it down to 1cm through the exercises she gave me and then through classes at my gym. I had a pretty strong core by the time I fell pregnant with this baby but of course immediately my stomach muscles started separating. I saw another physio just before lockdown who gave me exercises to do but basically said not to expect too much of my body during pregmancy and that it was inevitable I would get separation, but that provided I practiced engaging my core I would have the muscle memory to healthe gap post partum. So I have accepted the separation and plan to see a physio as soon as I can once baby is born (once restrictions are lifted!)

heroineinahalfshell · 25/06/2020 22:37

I've been sat with a wet flannel on my bump and chest all night, it's really helped.

Very jealous of you ladies having your last days at work! I'm not finishing til 7th Aug (have loads of leave (20 days) to take but I'm saving it to carry over to the end of mat leave instead). I've got so much to do at work now as well that I won't have the quiet wind-down over summer that i was hoping for. But I can't believe I've gone all academic year and only taken 5 days leave. No wonder I'm burnt out. Ah well, at least there's no commute!

Newmama29 · 25/06/2020 22:56

It’s funny, I’m actually jealous of all you ladies still working!! 😂 I haven’t worked since the week before lockdown due to working on the frontline so I’m demented! I wish I was with all my colleagues working away, but hindsight is a wonderful thing & I’m sure in normal circumstances I would be wishing I was off 😂

sel2223 · 25/06/2020 23:31

@heroineinahalfshell I wish I could save mine till the end but they will only let me carry a week over to next year, maximum, so having to take a month now. I was annoyed about it at first but pretty grateful now.

@NamiSwan @2020Aug I only found out this was a 'thing' recently (FTM). I was getting the cone bump every time i got up and just thought it was baby's position!
Being super careful now but feel it's too late. How do you know the muscles have definitely split? Is it the cone one or are there other signs? I've had no pain and can't tell when I feel around bump.

Oldestchild90s · 26/06/2020 09:05

Morning!

Had the classic bump stares this morning while i had to go out to get shopping. Lady looks at me and says 'are you?!' I was like.. 'am i what?' Then i realised what she was on about. I wish i had played along and said no i was just fat 😂

cannotmakemymindup · 26/06/2020 09:30

So glad you get to start your maternity leave @sel2223 @Beau2020 so soon. I would say enjoy the rest but I find resting equals extra nesting energy.

I ended up sitting, yesterday with my feet in a bowl of cold water so I could cool down and reduce the puffiness.

@Oldestchild90s next time definitely play along!

Flutterbunny · 26/06/2020 09:43

@Oldestchild90s - People’s reactions are so funny, I’ve had a few old ladies smile at me as I walk past them, not sure if that’s to do with the bump or not Grin

I actually had a sales rep at work once ask me if I was pregnant in full view of the rest of my team when I absolutely wasn’t- it was mortifying. I was a size 10 wearing a fitted dress and as I am prone to bloating I did look like I had a little baby bump. I would NEVER ask someone if I wasn’t sure though!! X

Firstmummytobe · 26/06/2020 10:07

35 weeks pregnant today, the 5 weeks countdown has officially started and I am more than excited 🥰😁😁😁

Mummapenguin20 · 26/06/2020 10:08

Hi ladies ive come over all nervous dc3 is. Due 14th of aug. Dc1 came on her due date 7lb8.5oz dc2 33+4 6lb and due to her being prem ive had growth scans this baby is 6lb at 33 weeks today! He has been engaged foe about 4 weeks i have this instinct its not going to be long but the thought it might be and im gunna have to push out a 10lb has left me petrified. Both previous pregnaceys dc1 i had to be cut dc2 i tore and now i feel like im gunna end up butchered 😔 i never feared labour with the other two infact i laboured easy so i have no idea why im so scared now x
