Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@sshl I’ve been getting numbness too! Noticed it quite a bit in my legs last night. And I keep waking up at 4am with the worst pins and needles in my left hand! So weird.

I’ve got sore boobs and the odd wave of nausea, and sleeping really terribly. I also got my 2-3 on a CB this morning which is good as I think I’m around 4+4 today.

Hope everyone is doing ok. This is such an anxious time isn’t it! Feel like I can’t stop thinking about it and analysing every twinge and feeling in my body!

BattenburgBerry · 16/06/2020 15:39

Hi everyone. Tentatively marking my place, BFP confirmed on a Clearblue test yesterday. Still sinking in. By my workings my due date is 25th Feb. I’m 37 and this is baby numero uno!
Feeling quite anxious and thinking about booking an early private scan at 8 weeks maybe. Fingers firmly crossed.

JemimaFuddleFuck · 16/06/2020 19:34

Hello all, hope everyone is keeping well. Congrats to the new BFPs!

I’ve been getting very sharp pains today, so that’s been fun. Hoping it’s just stretching. I searched through my what’s app messages with my sister from the beginning of my last pregnancy and it seems I had them then too.

DanielleS25 · 16/06/2020 19:46

Other than sharp pains over the weekend and sleeping very well during the night I have zero symptoms. It's starting to worry me a bit, but I'm sure I had zero symptoms on my first born too. I got a very strong result on the clear blue when I was a day late saying 3+ so not even sure have fair I am to be honest. We have a scan booked for the 8 week mark in a couple of weeks time and I am petrified.

MammaBear18 · 16/06/2020 20:30

Very symptoms here too. I'll be so relieved to get off the constant knicker watch (once I know everything is well)!

lydiangel83 · 16/06/2020 21:33

Those on nausea meds what type are they? I'm on Prochlorperazine but been reading online that you shouldn't take them whilst pregnant! Wondering if doc has made an error and will ring tomorrow! They aren't massively helping either :-/

LucyGrace19961 · 16/06/2020 21:55

@BattenburgBerry congrats!! I only find out yesterday to on a Clearblue. I’ve done about 4 tests which are all positive and I still don’t believe it! I’ve done a due day calculator (find from google) and I’m due on 28th Feb.

Sunshine1984 · 16/06/2020 21:59

May I join you? Got my BFP yesterday. Feels surreal. Haven’t told anybody yet - including DH as it’s his birthday on Friday so trying to hold out! Early days DD 22nd Feb. I’m 36 and this is #2
Congratulations everybody :)

OldMaBear · 16/06/2020 22:20

Hi all and congratulations to all the new BFPs.
I’m 7 weeks today, due on the 2nd Feb with my first and today’s anxiety is that they won’t be able to see anything on the scans because I’m so fat and the ultrasound will never be able to penetrate all the layers of blubber. So I’ve had 3 cry’s about that today. And yesterday I sobbed at my poor husband because he didn’t notice that the bathroom needs cleaning. Anyone else a raging hormonal mess or is that just my personality?!!

LucyGrace19961 · 16/06/2020 22:37

@Sunshine1984 congratulations!! I wish I could of held out.. think I told my partner within seconds! 😂 are you telling him in any particular way? Wrapping the test so he can open? 🎁

Sunshine1984 · 16/06/2020 22:44

@LucyGrace19961 Thank you! It’s so difficult to not blurt it out but I think it will be an amazing surprise - especially as I don’t have anything special planned for his birthday! I’ve just ordered a Father’s Day card for ‘daddy to be’ so thinking I’m going to write on that and then wrap it up as his final thing to open! Although - I could wrap the test too! Unless I can think of a better idea before Friday! Any thoughts?!

RubyFrench91 · 16/06/2020 22:51

@sunshine1984 great idea! And yay to another secret keeper! I haven’t told mine yet, telling him Sunday and will have kept it secret almost 3 weeks by then Grin

Sunshine1984 · 16/06/2020 23:35

@RubyFrench91 Wow! Well done you! I don’t know how you’ve managed that at all. Feels so strange keeping it a secret! How are you planning on telling him?

DanielleS25 · 17/06/2020 07:11

I did something similar for my husband on my first - I found out the day before his birthday so gave him an early birthday present which was the test in a box. And then for this one I found out the day before our wedding anniversary so did something similar 😂

Sunshine1984 · 17/06/2020 07:17

@DanielleS25 That’s so lucky just a day before! Such a great present. I’m finding waiting even just a few days so hard! Maybe I will wrap the test up with the card!

lydiangel83 · 17/06/2020 07:18

How are people with a second baby telling family? I want to get DD a t Shirt to wear saying 'I'm going to be a big sister' but not sure if a bit naff!? Felt so rough that I really want to tell parents now after scan tomorrow hopefully at c.8 wks we can

Songsofwhales · 17/06/2020 07:36

@OldMaBear You are 100% not alone in that! I've been alternating between crying and shouting regularly. I feel like I have a really short fuse and have lost my temper with our daughter a few times too which I absolutely hate. The hormones are unbelievable!

MorgenMuffel · 17/06/2020 07:44

@OldMaBear they may well do a transvaginal ultrasound as standard at that stage so really don't worry! You'll get to see more that way too.

I got quite angry with DH for driving off without letting me get my seat belt on yesterday, so with you all on the mood swings!

My nausea is building - brushing my teeth this morning made me gag. Almost wish I could be sick as it might give a bit of relief. Although on the train to work so not right now 🤣

Rainbow5SF · 17/06/2020 07:48

Symptoms anyone???

I'm so paranoid. Got my BFP 8 days ago. I'm now 20dpo. Done about 40 tests. Got a 3+ on clearblue digital yesterday. But no achy boobs!!

I'm on blood thinners, steroids & progesterone pessaries as precautions as my son was born prematurely 2 years ago and we lost him. So my anxiety is thru the roof. It's taken 22 months to get a BFP and we had 4 rounds of ivf. This is a natural pregnancy. I'm 40.

I have an upset stomach every morning - hormones and meds. Feel a little sick on a morning. But nothing else..

By my LMP I'm 5+3 but by my ovulation I'm just 5 weeks.

With my son my boobs were in agony. I had smell and taste aversion.

Anyone else 5 weeks and symptomless?
Or just as crazy anxious as me? X

ktl1a · 17/06/2020 08:21

@rainbow5sf I'm so sorry to hear about your loss x I'm with you in terms of the lack of symptoms and anxiety! I haven't had any symptoms yet (except perhaps feeling a bit hungrier and period like cramps). I am 4+5 so early days but with my last pregnancy (which unfortunately ended in a MMC in January) my boobs were sore and got bigger straight away, I also started feeling a bit "off" about now and that turned into nausea over a week or so. They say every pregnancy is different but hopefully the sickness starts kicking in soon... Will feel so much better if I can feel something is happening!

Songsofwhales · 17/06/2020 08:37

@MorgenMuffel I made a fish pie for DD last night, and then cried for ages because I couldn't get the smell of fish off my hands. I kept asking my hubby to sniff my hands and then got angry at him because he couldn't smell it at all 🤷🏼‍♀️😂

MammaBear18 · 17/06/2020 08:37

Welcome new BFPs! I don't know you can wait that long -Grin

@Rainbow5SF I'm so sorry for your loss, it's understandable tour anxiety is high at this time. With my first I had virtually zero symptoms until about 7 weeks and they mostly went away by 10-12 weeks.

@lydiangel83 we already told MIL and FIL and we will be telling the rest of the family after 8 week scan. I'm not sure how! Might do a little photo if we can't see them in person by then

RubyFrench91 · 17/06/2020 08:43

@Sunshine1984 I’ve quite enjoyed it just being my secret. We had said that we would try for another between May-July, then have a break as I didn’t want to be pregnant for April-June next year as it’s all of mine/fiancés/friends 30ths and there is lots of weekends away planned! But seems I got pregnant in May 😂 now I’ll have a 3 yr old and 2 month old for my 30th as mines the first one! I’ve ordered a moonpig card for Father’s Day of our daughter waving the clear blue digi test around that she got hold of haha, it just says “here we go again!!”

@Rainbow5SF I am honestly in the same position ref no symptoms! It is a blessing and a curse

Sunshine1984 · 17/06/2020 09:03

@RubyFrench91 That’s awesome. What a fab surprise! Ah how exciting. I hope you’ll have a babysitter for your 30th!

@Rainbow5SF I’m so sorry for your loss. Understandable that you’re feeling anxious but symptoms really don’t mean much at all. I’ve had friends with zero symptoms who went on to have healthy babies. I was so sick & unwell during my first pregnancy. I’m not having any symptoms at the moment - not even sore boobs. Such early days. Sending love xx

elfran · 17/06/2020 09:05

Oops, meant to join but realised I posted the below in another thread accidentally (think this is due to general scatterbrained-ness, not sure I can blame pregnancy yet!)

copy/pasted:

Hi everyone. I'm new here, got my BFP (big fat positive) (first pregnancy) only two days ago.

So nice to read everyone's stories. I admit that I'm feeling a bit... shellshocked, I guess. It happened sooner than we expected, given my age (I'm 36), which feels terrible to even say, given how long some people struggle (which I definitely expected would be the case for us). So while this was planned and I'm happy, I'm also finding those feelings somewhat overshadowed by sudden anxiety about money, career, having to immediately decide where to give birth, when my parents who live in Canada will meet this kid due to COVID, etc.

I know mixed feelings are probably very common just wondering if any other first-timers felt the overwhelm as well!

Adding to this thread: only symptoms so far are sore boobs and more peeing than usual. What's normally the next one to kick in?
