Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2020 10:35

I've felt totally rotten this wkend so nauseous and have to eat even through night to make it better. Vaguely remember a few wks of this from last time and hoping it passes soon. DH doesn't feel ready to tell people but seeing my folks tomorrow and will struggle to hide if feel this ill!

sunshinedandelions · 08/06/2020 10:49

@RDC2020 oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has a wedding planned for not that long after baby is due! I'm not too worried about the dress or anything (my mum works in the bridal industry so I'm super lucky there!) But I was more worried about how much I'd feel ready to have such a full on day with a 6mo!

MrsEtobe · 08/06/2020 11:33

Hope you don't mind me jumping on this thread! I got my BFP yesterday, I wasn't going to do a test but my OH said I haven't been myself and I couldn't believe it!!

We have had our wedding cancelled which was meant to be on the 16th May, so we are over the moon with the news.

I have called my doctors this morning who said given my dates I am around 6 - 7 weeks however I have really long cycles and think more 4 - 5 weeks but he didn't seem to take that into consideration.

I have already booked an early scan for two weeks time, I'm way too excited to wait until the 12 weeks and I think it will make it more real

Cant wait to follow everyones pregnancy on this post 💞

@OldMaBear I have a chronic pain condition too - very worried about how I'll cope during pregnancy. I'll be 35 when baby makes an arrival (if all goes well) so will be a "geriatric mother" too. As you say becoming much more normal now for people to have babies later in life, and I am sure no one will think it's your grandchild! Happy to chat more on either front.

@OldMaBear @JemimaFuddleFuck @lydiangel83nWe have told quite a few close family and friends (both sets of parents, my brother, some of my best friends) as we have been very open about the IVF process and people knew the timeline etc and when we would know if this round had worked or not - I have found talking about the whole has really helped me through it. I know it's early days, but I figure if anything does go wrong I will need their support, and would rather not have to tell them that I was pregnant and now and not in one go, just that there has been an issue IYSWIM? We will wait until things are more certain to tell people more widely though. I completely get that it is personal to everyone about who and when they tell.

Just adding to the list - lots of us with the same EDD already!

@JemimaFuddleFuck, EDD: 11/02/21, 2nd baby
@lydiangel83, EDD: 11/02/21 I think (!), 2nd baby have 2.5yo DD and I am 37!
@MorgenMuffel, EDD: 11/02/21, 1st baby (IVF)

MorgenMuffel · 08/06/2020 11:45

Eugh, I wish there was an edit button! Trying again:

@JemimaFuddleFuck, EDD: 11/02/21, 2nd baby
@lydiangel83, EDD: 11/02/21, 2nd baby have 2.5yo DD and I am 37!
@MorgenMuffel, EDD: 11/02/21, 1st baby (IVF)

IamC · 08/06/2020 12:38

Called the docs this morning and they've told me I'll have a telephone consultation with a midwife in my 9th week, and to expect their call on 9 July.

Is that a fairly normal approach? Seems a bit late to me, and with it being via telephone possible not very effective?

MorgenMuffel · 08/06/2020 12:49

@IamC think it is fairly normal to have your "booking in" appointment with a midwife between 8 and 10 weeks. It's due to COVID that its being done over the phone at the moment I think. They will take lots of details about your medical history etc.

SaraRita · 08/06/2020 15:10

Hello ladies and congratulations on your pregnancies :)

I just took a pregnancy test and confirmed what I was suspecting. I am pregnant with baby nr 2 :)
It was really quite this time around
It seems that our due date is February 12th

For a couple of days I have been felling tired, with mild period like cramps and headaches. The same I had in the early stages of 1st pregnancy.

I will join the Facebook group and continue to follow you here :)

IamC · 08/06/2020 15:14

@MorgenMuffel thanks, really useful

OldMaBear · 08/06/2020 16:34

@MorgenMuffel Thank you so much and I’m really glad to know someone else has a similar condition. Here to chat anytime.

@oldmabear, EDD 02/02/21, first baby, currently 40 years old.

sshl · 08/06/2020 16:35

@IamC I just called my GP and they have booked me in next week (10th) with the nurse I'll be just under 5 weeks at that point. She said they will go through everything with me? So not to sure, I don't think the receptionist was either.

She said that had just received new informative regarding appt for pregnant. Not sure if that's government or just that surgery?

IamC · 08/06/2020 17:06

@sshl oh wow that is completely different. Strange how the service differs by location. I might call again in a couple weeks and check if anything has changed.

sshl · 08/06/2020 17:08

@IamC it really is, I used to work in a GP surgery and we would book in a midwife appt at 10weeks that would be it.

I was surprised I am being seen so soon but it sounded like that was a new system that has just been implemented literally a few hours before I called, so wouldn't hurt to call up again in a few weeks

JemimaFuddleFuck · 08/06/2020 17:18

@oldmabear, EDD 02/02/21, first baby, currently 40 years old.

@MorgenMuffel, EDD: 11/02/21, 1st baby (IVF)

Feel free to add yours to the list, I will try and get them in date order as well! 3 with 11th Feb as EDD - although as I said earlier mine will probably be week 39 so 4th Feb ish!

@sshl I will be speaking to my practice nurse after my bloods on Wednesday so will be able to see if there is a new appointment schedule for pregnant women.

Out of interest, anyone know the appointment schedule for second + pregnancies. With my first I saw the midwife loads and she wanted to see me every week from 38 weeks, which I’m not sure is the norm May have been to do with my bump size

sshl · 08/06/2020 17:22

@JemimaFuddleFuck great will be interesting to know. My first pregnancy so I'm totally clueless really

misssoaps · 08/06/2020 17:34

Can you add me pls? Edd 10/02/2021 5th baby and I'm 30.

Second and subsequent pregnancies they normally don't see you as often as the first I found.

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2020 17:40

I'm getting a bit annoyed as called my GP 10 working days ago and spoke to receptionist who said midwife will be in touch but she didn't know when. My surgery were awful with DD so maybe this is the kick up the arse I need to move to a different one

JemimaFuddleFuck · 08/06/2020 17:46

@oldmabear, EDD 02/02/21, first baby, currently 40 years old.
@misssoaps, EDD 10/02/21, 5th baby, 30
@JemimaFuddleFuck, EDD: 11/02/21, 2nd baby
@lydiangel83, EDD: 11/02/21, 2nd baby have 2.5yo DD and I am 37!
@MorgenMuffel, EDD: 11/02/21, 1st baby (IVF)

@lydiangel83 have you tried phoning the maternity unit directly? I did last time as I had moved cities and didn’t have a GP surgery at the time. The midwives recommended me a GP and got me in even though they had a wait list, might be worth a try and mention you’d be happy to change.

misssoaps · 08/06/2020 17:56

I second what @JemimaFuddleFuck said, my youngest I referred myself and just rang the maternity unit, didn't go through the drs at all.

IamC · 08/06/2020 17:57

@JemimaFuddleFuck lots of 11th babies! That's my estimate date too. First one for me, and I'm 35

lydiangel83 · 08/06/2020 18:55

@JemimaFuddleFuck do u mean May unit associated with a hospital? I don't know which one to choose yet, didn't have good experience last time and we live in the middle of three hospitals

JemimaFuddleFuck · 08/06/2020 20:43

@lydiangel83 yes. You need to phone a hospital and they can start your booking in process. As far as I’m aware you don’t have to pick that hospital to give birth in but I live in a town with only one option, so I don’t want to give the wrong advice. I found the maternity number from google.

Stephanie3110 · 08/06/2020 21:51

Please can I be added to the list-

EDD 10/2/21, 2nd baby, age 32

Thank you Smile

Brigg253 · 08/06/2020 22:19

Congratulation to so many BFPs.
And I'm so sorry to hear of the losses, sending lots of love to all.
@sunshinedandelions I'm so pleased there are a few having a wedding next summer...we were potentially considering postponing to the following spring- I don't really want to, but didn't know if it would be a huge stress planning with a newborn. Hmm might wait and see how we go Hmm
