Hey everyone!!! I know I’m super early as I’m 12dpo but I’ve finally had my “pregnant” on clear blue digital and I’m over the moon. I’ve been trying to tell myself not to get tooo excited as I had a chemical pregnancy in March but, too late haha. I’m so excited and happy! May as well be positive about it..

Anyone else just found out they’re pregnant and due in February 2021? The NHS due date calculator puts at the 3rd February. What’s your symptoms been so far ?

Xx

@Stephanie3110 my husband has banned me from watching that. Though I'm tempted to sneak it on when he's at work

Sunnylil · 07/06/2020 09:09

@Stephanie3110 love that! I’ve watched all the UK ones so started on the new Australian ones. It’s so addictive Grin also watching what to expect when you’re expecting movie too many times to count! 😂

RDC2020 · 07/06/2020 09:11

@Stephanie3110 I'm a teacher as well (secondary). Our school is opening on the 15th June but on a rota basis - I haven't been put on it yet but as soon as I do I am telling my headteacher.

Main reasons are I figure they can't support/ protect if they have no idea, also I know they're not allowing other pregnant teachers to be put on the rota. I don't mind being in if it is deemed safe - but also don't want to risk it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

It is annoying having to say something so early though! 😑🙈

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2020 09:12

@IamC I think they get bigger so newborn baby can find them more easily tho may have made that up!

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2020 09:12

@Lovesamash are u on decaf? I'm
Missing caffeine already!

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2020 09:13

@Stephanie3110 my DD is 2.5 years old. DH really nervous about this one as we had a really hard 18 months with her, lots of health problems and really no sleep. she's so beautiful and happy now though and thank goodness so much healthier .cx

lydiangel83 · 07/06/2020 09:15

@IamC @fluffkins14 pregnancy insomnia is so rubbish :( feeling awful today and I know it's the result of bad sleep for a week! Bless her DD is actually sleeping well too! Finally! Makes my lack of sleep even more annoying!

Emma476 · 07/06/2020 09:51

Ok apologies in advance as this is probably TMI but does anybody else have white/milky discharge? Can’t ask anywhere else so has to be you girls to help 😂🙈 I really don’t remember this with my first.

Fluffkins14 · 07/06/2020 10:07

@lydiangel83 I agree it's very annoying my DD hasn't long got into a good routine and bed time she sleeps a whole 12hours but I can't seem to!x

@Emma476 Haha I'm 5/6 weeks ish and the discharge is definitely very noticeable I kept thinking AF had arrived 😂 x

Harper04 · 07/06/2020 13:19

@lydiangel83 it’s usually from the first day of your last period I think! That’s what my doctor asked for

@Emma476 I hope you managed to get some sleep in the end!

Hey!! I just found out I’m pregnant on Friday!! 🤩 Soooo excited according to my last period I’m due on the 10th of February.. the only thing I’m really anxious/upset about is the thought that my partner won’t be able to attend the first scan with everything that’s going on the now right now 🥺 I feel really emotional even thinking about it.. what are your thoughts on this? Do you think this will ease by the time my scan comes? Xxx

Lovesamash · 07/06/2020 14:35

@lydiangel83 not yet, maybe I should be. And in the last hour or so I’ve got cramping with bleeding when wiping. Trying not to think the worst girls. I had a late miscarriage start of the year, then a chemical now this.. Really sad. One app telling me m 6 weeks and another 4 weeks. Feeling really stressed but can’t calm down.. need a cuppa I think xx

Stephanie3110 · 07/06/2020 15:29

@IamC my boyfriend isn’t a massive fan of me watching it either cos I moan after, lol. I have to sneak a few episodes in when he’s still asleep.

@Sunnylil This made laugh, there’s nothing like being prepared for every single scenario possible. I haven’t watched the film, but I will now thanks for the tip Grin

@RDC2020 thank you for the advice. My school are very similar, they haven’t added pregnant women to the rota either. I will draft an email to send, as like you said it’s best to let them know. I really don’t want everyone to know so early though, I can imagine my department wondering why they are on the rota and I’m not. At least when it’s sent that’s one less thing to worry about doing.

@lydiangel83 ahh, daughters are the best aren’t they. She will have a little play mate soon and another to keep you up, hopefully not for as long this time. Blush

Stephanie3110 · 07/06/2020 15:35

@Lovesamash hey, with my first I bled twice. Once at 6 weeks and once at 9. Heavy bleeding. And everything was fine. Stay positive! Can you go and get it checked?

@grahamaox welcome! We have the same due date. I am a little worried about this too. It’s unfair for them isn’t it. I was looking into an early private scan to surprise him for Father’s Day when I’ll be around 7 weeks. I think they can go to these ones and they are only £80. At least then we can both see it for the first time.

howlatthetrees · 07/06/2020 15:39

Congratulations to all the new BFP’s!

Emma476 · 07/06/2020 15:44

@Lovesamash I bled around the 6 week mark when I had my DD and she’s a very healthy happy toddler now. I know it’s really hard (I’m anxious every time I go for a wee at the moment) but try and stay positive. Got my fingers crossed for all of us xx

Teak19 · 07/06/2020 15:48

Hi Everyone, I had a positive test this morning, est due date 6 Feb. It's my second time around, LG currently 17 months
I knew I was pregnant before the test as I've had random heartburn the past few weeks which I never normally have.
I think I've requested to join the fb group (UK & IE with 70 members?). I'm a bit rubbish at Mumsnet but looking forward to getting to know you all better

grahamaox · 07/06/2020 16:18

@Stephanie3110 awwww really that's so exciting 👶🏻 yeah it's totally not fair my boyfriend is really struggling with it. I totally understand it's to protect others however if you wear the correct PPE and follow the guidelines you would think it would be okay. Awww that's a lovely idea I was going to go private too I'm going to find out when my first scan would be and book around that time so we can heard the heartbeat etc together for the first time. I think it's a huge part of the process emotionally with bonding and stuff (maybe I'm just too emotional!) 😂 xxx

Harper04 · 07/06/2020 16:56

@grahamaox hey!! Congrats! I’m hoping they will ease the restrictions 😩 I’m not sure if it’ll happen by our first scan but I really hope so!!! I’m booking a private so my OH can come to that one, he’s gutted as well xx

Welcome @Teak19 💕💙🙌🏼

@grahamaox totally agree, they should have just a big of a part in it as us. I know it’s because we are carrying that baby, but like u say if they wear the correct PPE, etc then they should be able to be there for their baby and for the mothers sake (especially if anything went wrong- fingers crossed it doesn’t).

Have u contacted your GP/ midwife yet?

Also, have u had any pregnancy symptoms yet? I’m just really tired all the time, but this could be due to me working from home for the past few months too and naps being a habit Grin

2020N · 07/06/2020 17:03

@Stephanie3110 I was in a similar spot two weeks ago. I’m a primary school teacher and decided last week to tell my head as I was due to go in on rota, and also schools are preparing to reopen in a few weeks in my area. Best thing I did. Although we would have preferred not to have told anyone until the 12 weeks, with all that’s going on I wanted to cover myself and baby and was worrying myself. My head was fantastic, completely confidential and has reassured me that for both our sakes we will continue to work from home.

Have you checked with your union? Most that I’ve checked are suggesting working from home x

grahamaox · 07/06/2020 17:07

@Harper04 Thankyou congrats to you too hun 🥰 yeah I'm really hoping they do but I suppose private is the only way they can be there it just doesn't seem fair for both sides 😓 xx

Lovesamash · 07/06/2020 17:09

@Stephanie3110 and @Emma476 thanks for the support. It’s only when wiping brown/pink (tmi sorry) I’m not a fan of having any sign of blood for obvious reasons. Staying positive and praying. The healthiest of pregnancies for everyone xx

grahamaox · 07/06/2020 17:15

@Stephanie3110

yeah 100% it's such a big thing.. my friend is 4 months pregnant and her partner hasn't been able to attend any scans and he said he doesn't feel like he's part of the pregnancy which is so sad!

No I found out on Friday so couldn't phone the doctors.. I'm going to phone tomorrow. Have you contacted your GP?

Yeah I actually have! I've had really sore boobs for a week or 2 and I've felt soooo sick this week 🤢 I've been reading loads online and apparently you don't get sickness etc until about 6 weeks? But I suppose everyone is different. I've also been extremely thirsty waking up through the night and downing water lol which isn't like me.. and yeah I'm so tired as well! x
