@GMay1991 you will be 4 weeks pregnant 😊x

BabyG123 · 21/05/2020 17:38

@MayBug2020 my first day of my last period day 31st March as we know we are there same. However I know my cycles are 38 days so I know I'm not 7+2 but 5+2. Could be that you ovulated later? Have longer cycles?

Welcome ladies-
I'm holding out on a early scan was psycho Sally with DS1 and scans. Trying to

Hi Ladies,
Hope you're all okay!
I received my first scan appointment today. 24th June! Excitement lasted 3 seconds,
And then all of a sudden anxiety hit - all sorts of awful thoughts have been going through my head ever since. I feel so very nervous/scared that there might be something wrong.
I think what makes it worse is that fact that I will be alone and my husband is most likely not going to be allowed to accompany me. Now I can't stop thinking about it ConfusedConfused

Has anyone else had their 12 week scan yet?

Carabu1 · 21/05/2020 17:50

@jellybean252 - I'm jealous you have a date to aim at thought - my hospital have been a bit rubbish so far with that stuff. I'm due NYE, so I guess early for Jan, but I've heard nothing :( I think its normal to be nervous though, right?! I know I am!! I had to go for a 6 week epu scan after spotting a few weeks ago all on my own and it was scary, but at the same time I was just glad to get any care atm what with everything that's going on. Could you go private maybe and take your husband to this, if affordable?

MayBug2020 · 21/05/2020 17:52

@BabyG123 oh it looks like if the scan is correct and I am just 5weeks I am about the same as you. When did you get your positive if you don’t mind me asking? Looking back if my cycle was what the app said my previous tests should have been positive but they weren’t and just assumed I wasn’t pregnant but then 10 days later still nothing so tested (15th) and have a positive xx

MayBug2020 · 21/05/2020 17:53

@Jellybean252 I went for an early scan today and I had to go on my own and I was scared but everyone is so lovely and understand the situation which put me at ease. Xx

mumoftwobeauts · 21/05/2020 18:14

Hi, please can I join? Had a faint bfp today at 10dpo. Will be due around 23rd Jan :)

Lollipop93 · 21/05/2020 18:15

I have my scan in for the 10th July! Seems so far away and I am so scared for it as well I always think the worst! Also because my husband probably won’t be allowed in with me. I’ll be scared to look at the screen????

In other news I’ve managed to eat dinner and prep baby food and do the washing up tonight and my tiredness/ Nausa isn’t as bad as previous days.... I was like this is great then I’m like oh no why have those symptoms went away lol! I’m a nightmare. Damned if I am damned if I’m not. Hmm lol

BabyG123 · 21/05/2020 19:59

@MayBug2020 I believe I test on 6th/7th. Really hoping you have crazy cycles like me

MayBug2020 · 21/05/2020 20:04

@BabyG123 me too! Xz

Skyla01 · 21/05/2020 20:36

@Lollipop93 same here- I definitely had more nausea 5 or 7 days ago. Going to enjoy being nausea free while it lasts though. My boob pain is making up for lack of other things!

AR52 · 21/05/2020 21:49

Hi everyone! I need a bit of advice I have no idea on how any of this works Confused I'm 6 days late and had a few confirmed tests this week, clear blue says 1 - 2 weeks but nhs calculator says I'm due 22nd Jan and I'm 4 to 5 weeks? So I'm really confused on how many weeks I actually am!

I have the doctors phoning me tomorrow to sort out the next process.

Congratulations to you all too!!

mumoftwobeauts · 21/05/2020 22:05

@AR52 you usually add 2 weeks to whatever a clear blue digital says :)

MrsCB88 · 21/05/2020 22:58

Hey all! Congratulations on your pregnancies, such exciting times 🙂 I have been following this post for a while, I found out I was pregnant last week - due mid Jan. It’s our first, so it’s taken a while for everything to sink in! (To be honest, I’m not sure it has yet!!) I self referred to the hospital on Monday but not heard anything yet, but they said it will take up to 5 days.

I was just wondering if any of the early appointments have to happen by a certain point in your pregnancy? Like some of the tests you have?

Thanks! I may join the Facebook group soon too, will be nice to chat with others as haven’t told anyone else yet (apart from the husband).

Baba11 · 21/05/2020 23:40

@MrsCB88 congrats
There isn't a time as such and with covid things are bit different now. Bloods and everything will be done at 12 week scan. Dependent on where u live u will also get a booking in appointment. Which (due to covid) is also a telephone call. If u have self referred u just need to wait to be contacted. Hopefully won't b too long.

Jellybean252 · 22/05/2020 00:30

@MayBug2020 that's good! Did everything go well with your scan? x

@Carabu1
I also have a phone consultation with the midwife on the 4th June. Maybe contact your local midwife team and they can sort some dates out for you?

This is going to sound really daft but.. my husband and I have really played this pregnancy down to not "jinx" it. It felt like we were trying to get pregnant forever (since sept 2019). We know we're very lucky that we have finally gotten pregnant and some women go through a much longer period of TTC.
So booking a private scan seems about forward for our "laid-back go with the flow approach". We've not told anyone yet, im bursting to tell my mum but then I have the fear that something might go wrong and then it will be 3 hurt people rather than only 2.

Sorry if it makes no sense.

mrskh21 · 22/05/2020 00:33

Hi everyone! Congrats to everyone on their BFPs. Please can I also join the fb group? I could really do with some moral support :)

I got my positive on 11 May and I believe I'm 5 weeks + 5 days now. It's my first pregnancy and I'm an absolute bag of nerves.

I've self referred to my local hospital midwife unit who said they'd come back to me within 5 days - that didn't happen so I rang up and looks like I have to wait for a letter and the booking appt will be over the phone.
How have others found the appt over the phone?

I've booked in for an early private scan at 7 weeks + 5 days, so I'm hoping for some reassurance then.
Apart from mega sore boobs and tiredness last week I've not really had much else by way of symptoms.

Can't believe I'm wishing to feel unwell lol!

MayBug2020 · 22/05/2020 06:49

@Jellybean252 the scan showed what a 5 week pregnancy would look like not 7 - so I need to go back in a couple of weeks. I am hoping it’s just down to my dates being wrong, which is possible. I only have one period since coming off the pill and was only going by an app in predicted period based on a standard cycle. They did say that if you haven’t had 3 cycles since coming off the pill they ignore the dates. So now I am just trying to stay positive x

LillyPetal · 22/05/2020 07:25

Hi! It's my first post here. My husband and I have been ttc for 8 months and I got a bpf last night. It's still very early days so trying not to get excited but according to my calculations I'm approx 3 weeks and so due Jan 30th.

Brodijen · 22/05/2020 08:06

Morning everyone! Happy Friday and hope you are all well. I got my BFP last Wednesday after trying for about 5 cycles since my miscarraige last year. We found out at almost 12 weeks that the pregnancy hadn’t developed past about 7 weeks Sad
So, I’ve booked an early scan this time as I can’t sit around for another 7 weeks wondering. I’m not sure if my oh can come with me but I’ll FaceTime him if he isn’t. I’m excited and nervous and scared all at once, I’m sure you’re all the same!

GMay1991 · 22/05/2020 08:09

@mrskh21 congratulations! I am also pregnant with my first and have only had very slight cramps, sore boobs and tiredness on and off. If I wasn’t symptom spotting I doubt I would have even noticed! As for the midwives I rang up yesterday and they advised that the booking in consultation would be done over the phone in about 3 weeks. (I’m 4weeks + 5)

Carabu1 · 22/05/2020 08:21

@Jellybean252 - completely get where you’re coming from. We have being trying for a long time, and ended up having fertility treatment, and I know of it goes wrong well both be gutted. So we haven’t really being talking about, and aren’t telling anyone til at least 12 weeks. It’s just to protect us really I think - my husband in particular can’t get excited about anything until it’s actually happening in case he jinxes it!

BabyG123 · 22/05/2020 08:32

@MrsCB88 welcome! I think as long as your booking in appointment is before your scan it's fine. They have sent me out a booklet to take to my booking in but it's over the phone so I now just take it all to the 12 weeks scan get get my pregnancy folder then.
You also have your blood test then that tests for downs syndrome, edwards disease etc.

@mrskh21 I had no symptoms with DS1 at all just a giant kicking bump so don't panic. And welcome.

@LillyPetal welcome and congrats

I too try not to get excited until the 2nd trimester and then I feel like I can breathe a little.

On another note I'm feeling super guilty at the moment. I got so stressed at the start of the week I worry I can cause damage.

A close relative has now been scammed 5 times. I just can't believe said person can be so naive and bloody stupid. Anyway I lost it and have only just started to calm down. The guilt is rife!

Has anyone else got pain in their cervix? I don’t remember this from previous pregnancies and it’s worrying me.

I’ve also hit the hungry every moment stage. I put on weight like you wouldn’t believe when pregnant (4 stone each time!). It came off easy each time but I really want to avoid that if I can as I’m so much older now. Is anyone else hungry in the middle of the night?
