Hello everyone, can I join please? Just found out I am pregnant Grin. Its been 6 weeks since the start of my last period and had a lot of negatives up until this morning when i used the clear blue digital. SO excited, its my first. Just really wanted to share my excitement!!!
@peach111 I have been really thirst this last week!
That and feeling tired are my only symptons though.

Congratulations to everyone on here Smile

jessicaf95 · 22/05/2020 09:25

Hi everyone. I'd love to join too!
I got my bfp on Tuesday, so am now 4+3. This is my second pregnancy after a miscarriage in February so keeping everything crossed this time around!

peach111 · 22/05/2020 09:26

I feel anxious as I know I have a condition called bicornuate uterus (heart shaped womb) I read things online of people having healthy pregnancies and not finding out until their 2nd or 3rd baby but I still feel really worried when I told my GP she said not to worry about it but I am. Does anybody else have this or know of anyone who does? X

Baba11 · 22/05/2020 10:11

Welcome all and congrats

@Brodijen I'm so sorry for your loss. That is truly awful, did you have any symptoms to. Indicate things weren't progressing. This is my worse fear, going to my 12 wk scan an being told that t isn't there or nit progressing.espc after u miscarried at 11 wks last year.

@Carabu1 good luck for your scan today. Let us know how u get on.

Ywhy is this 12 we wait soooo long

Ivory88 · 22/05/2020 11:20

@BabyG123 thank you! That is super helpful :) it seems I have a while then yet.

For those who have told people, how have you told them in the current situation? We haven’t seen anyone yet, so I’m not sure whether to wait till I see my parents face to face, or tell them over the phone.

Skyla01 · 22/05/2020 12:26

Welcome everyone! My first too so definitely share your excitement. Sorry to those with a previous loss. I think this is an anxious time for a lost of us but I'm enjoying each day as it comes and trying not to be anxious.

Any new symptoms today? I'm feeling more nauseous again. DP and I had planned a takeaway tonight for a treat but we'll have to see how that goes...

PastaBolognaise · 22/05/2020 12:26

@Ivory88 that’s a hard one. I won’t tell anyone until we have had testing so I haven’t had to think to much about it. Could you drive by their house and tell them from a 2m distance outside?

Skyla01 · 22/05/2020 12:27

@Ivory88 I sent a message to my friend, but other than that not telling people until after 12wk scan. Hope I'll be able to see most folk face to face by then.

2020wish · 22/05/2020 12:45

Hi ladies .... cautiously peeping in. Got my manual positive yesterday at 10dpo and digital positive today at 11dpo... miscarried In April so very anxious and nervous. 4+1 today

GMay1991 · 22/05/2020 13:31

@Ivory88 I don’t plan on telling anyone until 12 weeks other than my mum. I’m very close to my mum and would need her support no matter what happens. I think we will tell her after the early pregnancy scan which will be almost 9 weeks

StephS1984 · 22/05/2020 13:35

@Brodijen, Congratulations. I’m in a similar situation to you, found out at 12 weeks, but stopped developing around 7 weeks too. I’m hopefully planning on having a private scan around 10 weeks, so my husband can come too and support me, before going for a hospital scan on my own at 12 weeks.

Brodijen · 22/05/2020 13:46

@StephS1984 sorry for your loss and @Baba11 thank you. Unfortunately I had no indications, I had cramps and sore boobs all the time pretty much. Then when I was in week 11, I had a small bleed which lead to a private scan and that’s when we found out. In fact, my sore boobs continued until well after the procedure I had done the following week, which was just so sad. Same-ish symptoms this time, sore and bigger boobs and that crampy feeling like my uterus is stretching. All we can do is just hope and pray and send out all the positive vibes!

Positivetime · 22/05/2020 14:25

Hi guys I was wondering if anyone has told Their work yet or considering telling them.
I’m a little stressed because I work for a company which has 5 branches and I work for across them all all remotely but I’m based at home .

They’ve now said they are going to move me to another branch potentially but I haven’t told them I’m pregnant get as it’s so early. I don’t even have an early scan yet or anything to show as proof. Should I tell tel them or stay quiet? I don’t know if they will re consider moving me if they know I’m pregnant as it’s really convenient where I currently am based.

Skyla01 · 22/05/2020 14:32

@Positivetime I also have a bit of a work dilemma- I wasn't wanting to tell work until 12wk but I might have to tell them next week as my role might be changing (I work in healthcare but currently in admin). I think I'll have to bite the bullet.

As for you will you still be working from home for a good while? No need to say anything until 12wk if that's the case. Also as you say being pregnant might not change the decision anyway. Maybe you could just ask to stay put?

MrsF111 · 22/05/2020 14:54

@Positivetime I might end up telling my line manager early - working from home at the moment but if they ask us to come back into the office before 12 weeks I'll tell them as I would like to stay at home if at all possible.

I would have thought/hoped they would be extra accomodating at the moment if they knew you were pregnant Smile

Positivetime · 22/05/2020 14:57

Ah I dunno because they’re saying I have no choice. I Really don’t know what might rights are if they change my contract before I tell them and does it make me lose my maternity pay.

MrsF111 · 22/05/2020 15:07

Gosh no idea I am afraid, such a tricky situation.

Jellybean252 · 22/05/2020 15:11

@MayBug2020 aww fingers crossed for you. Hopefully it is just a mix up of dates!

@carabu1 I'm glad you understand! Sounds like you guys are doing what we're doing! Hopefully it will be fine for all of us! ( fingers crossed )

GMay1991 · 22/05/2020 16:09

Does everyone feel it’s sank in yet? I know it’s early days but it’s like I forget for a little while and then remember and have the same OMG moment about 10 times a day 😂. This is my 1st pregnancy and I’ve never had a CP, MC or even a pregnancy scare in my younger wilder days.

BabyB2021 · 22/05/2020 16:11

Hi everyone, just found this group and love reading about how everyone is feeling - makes me feel like I’m not alone Smile Did a test yesterday after having had sore boobs for days, they also feel bigger already which seems crazy considering I think I’m only 4 weeks today! Also was really dizzy this morning which was weird. First time for me so this is all really new and exciting! WFH the last 2 days has been so hopeless, send one email and then read another article about pregnancy Smile

Quick question - have been booked in for my first appointment in 3 weeks, so will be 7 weeks by then. Will they do a scan then? They said on the phone they’ll call the day before to tell me what they’ll do but I kind of want to know now! Thanks!

doji789 · 22/05/2020 16:34

Hi ladies

I've just been reading all your posts. Exciting to hear some of you are having scans this weekend. So nice to hear others that are feeling pretty similar. It's such a difficult time as we haven't told anyone yet so you can feel a little isolated I guess.

I'm 5+4 weeks, I don't have any nausea at the moment. A little in the morning but it goes as soon as I've had my porridge. I didn't have sickness with my first so I'm hoping this pregnancy is the same 🤞🏼 The main symptoms I've got is the exhaustion, sore breasts and severe mood swings 🙈 I keep seeing red at the smallest things! Any one else?

I ordered some new summer dresses that came today and I looked like I'm 6 months pregnant already!! I feel so bloated..
I didn't start showing with my 1st until I was about 5 months. I know they say you show sooner with your 2nd but jheeze! I'm quite small so it stands out even more. Luckily we can't see anyone other wise people would spot it straight away 😹

Anyway I'll stop waffling. Hope you're all ok and happy Friday! x

@GMay1991 same! I’m not sure it has sank in to be honest. I only took the one test and left because I’m not really having symptoms I sometimes even wonder am I actually pregnant? Lol. I think it will start to sink in after the appointments maybe?

Skyla01 · 22/05/2020 17:43

@GMay1991 this is my first ever BFP too. It's been a week now so has sunk in a bit but still a bit mad too. Really exciting though!

@BabyB2021 I'm the same googling loads of pregnancy stuff! I have my first appointment in 12 days. I need to check but I presume it'll be over the phone. I think bloods and first scan will be at 10-12wks?

@doji789 I think it's a good thing we're in lock down kind of- can hide our tiredness / nausea/ bloating a bit easier!
