@Lollipop93 @TerribleImagination which prenatals are you taking? I've read certain ones can make people feel more nauseous! Can't remember which ones they were though lol sorry - not very helpful!

@lilypad88 good for you accepting the job!! I'm actually quite jealous as I'm in a similar situation... my contract finishes at the end of August and I've been worrying about what I'll do from September! I wouldn't worry though - you could easily say you didn't know you were pregnant when you accepted the job. How far along are you?

Also ladies just a suggestion - a previous pregnancy board I used to be on (with my mmc) we used to write how far we were at the end of each post just so we could keep track of how everyone was doing! So if you like the idea I'll start with mine Smile

@Bubbabee thank you I'm ok, spoke to my partner and he said I should make a complaint but I'm not bothered let them be nasty to each other x

TerribleImagination · 05/06/2020 22:37

@MilsCookie I was taking the Morrison’s pregnancy plus ones (with omega 3) but ran out so today started on some old Seven Seas one I had from last time. These ones have ginger in them and actually didn’t make me feel as nauseas as the Morrison’s ones did! Could have been a fluke though 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great idea re dates!

@MilsCookie ah that's a good idea! I'm on board with that! My memory isn't the best either I keep asking xD

Yea I'll probably wait the 15 weeks tbh... I never thought I'd be pregnant this month, all the odds seemed against me but here I am! Can you not find another contract? I was gonna do that tbh if I didn't get the job, just work on short contracts but I don't really know how is the situation with covid for that...

MilsCookie · 05/06/2020 22:47

@TerribleImagination ginger is supposed to help nausea! So maybe not a coincidence?!

@lilypad88 ahhh you'll be absolutely fine with being 5+4! Lots of people don't find out they're pregnant till much later! Just say you didn't know and I'm sure it'll be fine Smile. I am going to look for another contract yes but waiting for a bit more info at my 12 week scan... (I'm pregnant with MCMA twins which can be quite high risk and complicated...)

@IshaPoet so sorry those people were nasty to you on another website - so uncalled for. Hope you feel welcome and supported here Smile xx

For prenatal vitamins this time I'm just taking folic acid tablets and they're staying down! Had horrendous sickness throughout both my previous pregnancies (&this one is looking the same!) and found almost all tablets made it worse. In the end I took the Trying For A Baby ones I'd had when we were TTC as they were tiny and had the same vitamins in. My poor neglected third baby isn't even getting them Grin just cheapo folic acid but itll do the job.

I feel for those of you with under 2s! I've a 14 month gap between my two, and pregnancy with a 5-14 month old was HARD. Sending Cake and Brew (decaf) Wink

6 weeks today and I think the nausea has set in! I was gagging over the toilet bowl (sorry tmi) but nothing coming up. Felt nauseous as soon as my eyes opened

Hi Ladies!
Can I join the thread? I Just signed up here this morning - was on another pregnancy forum that I used with my last two pregnancies but it’s completely dead and no-one due in January seems to come online! I’m pregnant with baby number 3, due on 22nd Jan based on LMP. How’s everyone doing? I have the constant nausea and super sore boobs but does anyone else feel really dizzy in the morning? I really suffer with that every morning at moment x

Carabu1 · 06/06/2020 08:20

@lilypad88 great news on the job! I’m in a sort of similar position in that I’m due to start a new job in sept that I was. So now I’ll only be there a few months before I go on leave...! Because of how continuous employment works in my sector I’ll still get full pay for my leave, but it does feel awkward...! I’m going to wait I think until 20 weeks and then tell them because by the time I start it will be obvious...I think as you’re so early saying you didn’t know is fine. They might be irritated but it’ll pass - plus as they won’t have to pay you it won’t cost them anything. Sometimes in life stuff happens - we won’t be the first or the last!!!

lilypad88 · 06/06/2020 08:49

@Carabu1 thank you! X yea for sure, they must see that happening quite often... Would I still be able to take maternity leave though?? I mean at least the first 2-3 months I would want to stay with my baby :s I really to start doing some research on this!...

@MilsCookie yea I'm still very early.. ah really? Didn't twins were more at risk... but fingers crossed everything goes well until then :)

@Hopefulmummie ohh that's good news! Will be thinking of you today for ur scan! 💛

@H6787 welcome and congrats! I do feel dizzy every now and then, mostly in mornings yea..

I don't take prenatal, only folic acid, omega-3 and vit D, for other vits I try to get them from food

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 08:51

@lilypad88 thank you. I'm hoping it was pregnancy nausea and not nerves for my scan

Baba11 · 06/06/2020 08:59

@Hopefulmummie good luck for your scan today. Let us know how you get on.

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 09:01

The day is going to drag in until then!

@babyboom1990 i hope it's a good sign! Lol not good
Thank you

imabusybee · 06/06/2020 10:18

@lilypad88 I think you would be eligible for maternity allowance rather than SMP, theres an eligibility test on the gov.uk website if you take a look.

Good luck @Hopefulmummie x

Wineandrun · 06/06/2020 11:25

Does anyone do shift work? I’m struggling with the nausea when I can’t eat when I want!

@Hopefulmummie
Good luck with your scan x

Sophiamel987 · 06/06/2020 11:55

Hope your scan goes well 😊 @Hopefulmummie

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 11:56

Thank you everyone. So nervous now. Hoping for good news x

Carabu1 · 06/06/2020 12:01

@lilypad88 you’ll def get leave! It’s more a question of how much £ you get and from where - check the .gov pages for info as they will explain it more clearly than me!!

TerribleImagination · 06/06/2020 12:42

What time is your scan lovey @Hopefulmummie? Crossing everything for you 🤞🏻❤️

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 13:11

@terribleimagination just leaving the house now for it it's in half hour eek!
Thank you

lilypad88 · 06/06/2020 13:46

@Carabu1 @imabusybee ah yea I'll have a look there then, thanks! X

Hopefulmummie · 06/06/2020 13:55

So had my scan they done a normal ultrasound and couldn't see anything but she said it could just be too early to see anything and cause I haven't been bleeding heavy it's not a bad thing. They're gonna scan me again in 2 weeks and if nothing there they'll do an internal scan.

Not sure what to think really didn't get the answers I needed :(
