Hi guys I am about 5.5 weeks now and feel like I have few symptoms. I thought my boobs were a bit bigger but now not sure and the only other thing I can think of is that I have been feeling really tired most days but then I question if its because iv cut out coffee! Anyone else not have any symptoms? Should I be worried?

BabyG123 · 05/06/2020 15:56

@IshaPoet bloody ridiculous people can be so jealous rather than happy for people.

I hope your teenager can get help. It's scary how popular it is these days. I actually know a lady who had to send her son to live with his dad in Asia just to get him out of the friendship bad habits he was in, scary times how 'popular' it is.

@Lynstar05 there's a few in the same boat further down. I had no. Symptoms with my first child

IshaPoet · 05/06/2020 15:59

@BabyG123 I would do the same but his dad of lil to no help at all so I'll have to find family I trust enough to send him too but nowadays you can't trust anybody with your kids

Carabu1 · 05/06/2020 16:03

@Lynstar05 congratulations! If you read earlier on the thread this is a recurring worry! I am 10 weeks now and still don't really have any, its not that unusual. I think its just a surprise, because all the online info goes on about how awful you must feel; but not everyone does!

sk283 · 05/06/2020 16:17

I've been feeling sick, tummy ache and diarrhea (sorry tmi) all day. I've just eaten a large bag of giant buttons and feel a lot better 😂

BabyG123 · 05/06/2020 16:31

@IshaPoet you've got this! 🤞🏼

@sk283 so weird I could have written that. Even the choc buttons part lol

@BabyG123 @sk283 how funny! I literally just bought some choc buttons hahaha 😂

Baba11 · 05/06/2020 17:24

The exhaustion is unreal. I am constantly lying down then I fall asleep.. hope I can shake this of soon

sk283 · 05/06/2020 17:58

I fell asleep straight after and fingers crossed I may feel human enough to see DS before his bed time. I don't know how I would have coped today I'd dh wasn't wfh.

Lollipop93 · 05/06/2020 18:12

@sk283 aw do you have another child too? I have a 18 months old and like that I am sick and so so tired I feel like I can’t give her the attention she needs. My husband also works from home thank god. I just can’t shift this guilt of not being able to feed/play do anything for her At the moment. I feel like I only feel ‘ok’ when I’m lying down and can’t stay up for too long without feeling sick or dizzy or tired which doesn’t work well with a crazy toddler :( I miss her :(

Bubbabee · 05/06/2020 18:17

@Hopefulmummie
Oh I'm so glad your bleeding has settled down. I've had cramps like that and backache too but I think that's because my beds uncomfortable haha.. fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow 😘

Hopefulmummie · 05/06/2020 18:23

@Bubbabee thank you hoping for the best!

I'm also really tired... I don't realise until I lie down on the sofa and fall straight asleep.

I've been waking up before 6am every morning for the past 2 weeks and not getting back to sleep so that doesn't help

Bubbabee · 05/06/2020 18:51

@IshaPoet vile people. Hope your ok x

Bubbabee · 05/06/2020 18:54

I'm exhausted because I'm awake 11-2am every night without failure with restless legs. Don't know how I'm functioning on little sleep and no food 😬

BabyG123 · 05/06/2020 19:20

@Lollipop93 @sk283 my first born is 15 months and I'm zonked by the evening (and then can't sleep) but I like to get out and keep busy which I think has helped to distract me. Hope you girls can find a function soon 🤪

Hey @BabyG123 it’s good to know we are in the same boat. If you don’t mind what activities do you do during the day? It’s so hard being in lockdown and not really being allowed to go anywhere so any ideas would be great! I live in a really hilly area normally I’m out walking all the time but right now because I’m not eating and feel faint just walking down the stairs I don’t think it’s wise for me to go walking the hills with the pram atm :| I can’t wait to be able to do that though.

sk283 · 05/06/2020 20:00

@Lollipop93 @BabyG123
Yes I have a DS who is 14 months and 'high energy'. I'm 5 +6 today. We live near a few different parks so I can easily walk him to a park and let him run wild. He's just discovered using a scooter! this has been the first day that the tiredness has knocked me out in the middle of the day. Think that's to do with the dodgy tummy. I can't tell whether I need to eat more or eat less. As I've no appetite. But if I leave it to long my stomach acid builds up and I feel sick then exhausted.

Ain't the first trimester great!

BabyG123 · 05/06/2020 20:23

@Lollipop93 we've been going for lots of walks. We live in the country so lots of forest hunts, he is obsessed with twig collecting. We took a football over our local park today. Feeding the ducks etc. I do crash when I get home and feel nauseous. We also spend lots of time in the garden.

@sk283 I have the midday crash too. Thankfully little one still naps 2/3 hours so I can on the odd day fit one in too!

OP posts:
Lollipop93 · 05/06/2020 20:32

@BabyG123 @sk283 that’s great ideas I might try that! We have a couple of play parks near. I’ll need to look at the rules and see if I can take her into the play park bit because I’m sure they were closed at one point! Does anyone else find that prenatal vitamins make nausea worse or is it just me?

sk283 · 05/06/2020 20:34

@Lollipop93
Yes! I've learnt not to take them on an empty stomach. 👌🏽

lilypad88 · 05/06/2020 22:14

Oh gosh... I just accepted a job offer, obviously didn't tell them I was pregnant 😬 how and when am I gonna tell them now? 🤦🏼‍♀️ have any of you been in this situation??

I shouldn't but I kinda feel guilty... but couldn't stay out of job for too long :/

BabyG123 · 05/06/2020 22:17

@lilypad88 do you have a job anyway? You legally don't have to tell them until 15 weeks before you're due. But you won't be entitled to stay mat and you'll only be entities to Mat pay if you were employed when you fell pregnant if that makes sense 🤷🏼‍♀️

OP posts:
lilypad88 · 05/06/2020 22:22

@BabyG123 no I don't... :( I literally resigned a few days before the pandemic!... my luck 🙄 And jobs that I was going for were put on hold... I haven't even thought of that tbh... ugh!...

TerribleImagination · 05/06/2020 22:26

@Lollipop93 Yep definitely! I take them around lunchtime now, as opposed to the morning, as it helps a little bit if my stomach is a bit more full. They still make the nausea worse though 🤢 Plus actually just taking them sometimes makes me gag 😂
