Early pregnancy worries

Hi all, I got my first BFP with first baby on Saturday and am roughly 5 weeks pregnant... my question is has anyone else experienced little to no symptoms at this early stage? Yesterday I felt exhausted, headache and slightly hung over.. I am going to the loo a lot and have had some mild cramping at the start of the week but today I feel nothing. It has made me feel quite anxious today as a lot of people keep telling me sickness etc is a sign of strong hormones . Anyone else had similar experiences?

Morning ladies, this morning my app told me my temperature had drop slightly which is the first time since I conceived and I am a little worried...does anyone else monitor their temp? Xx

Lily2020 · 18/05/2020 08:06

@MayBug2020 i did temp up until the day I got my bfp, I don't think it's necessary to carry on really just adds extra worry if it drops slightly, which it can do so try not to read too much into it!😊

MayBug2020 · 18/05/2020 08:16

@Lily2020 thank you...I think I will stop now I just couldn’t find any useful information online to say if your temperature can fluctuate in pregnancy x

Northernsoul90 · 21/05/2020 17:58

Hi ladies what are your thoughts on early private scans? Has anyone got any experiences or opinions? I can’t decide whether to have one or just wait for the 12 week one Hmm

I had them with both pregnancy and felt they helped with anxiety.

Northernsoul90 · 21/05/2020 18:23

@TildaTurnip how many weeks did you have them?

@Northernsoul90 I'm having one next weekend when I'll be 7 weeks. Partly because I'm due to go back to teaching in school on the 1st and it will give me peace of mind over my decision not to go in if I know there's definitely a baby there! I heard that by 7 weeks you should be able to see a heartbeat if there's going to be one but it might be a bit borderline before then. I didn't want to stress myself further by being left with uncertainty.

Daisysandviolets · 21/05/2020 18:47

I had pretty much no symptoms, no nausea, no sore boobs. Just felt slightly more tired then usual! I had an early scan at 8 weeks because of my lack of all symptoms to help me get through to 12 week scan and now I'm 21 weeks! Smile

Northernsoul90 · 21/05/2020 18:47

@TildaTurnip thanks! I think I may book one just to ease anxiety as well really, it feels like such a long time waiting for 12 weeks. I will be 7 weeks next week (I think) and also teach in a primary school. I’m not going back in either!

@MissHoney85 I tagged the wrong person sorry! Was meant to tag you in the last post Smile

@Daisysandviolets thank you! I think I may go for one. Congrats! Smile

@Northernsoul90 let us know how you get on if you do! I found the sonographer at the private scan was much nicer than the man I had at my 12 weeks scan so I'm actually glad that was my first one! Hope your ok though, there are just so many anxieties in pregnancy x

Northernsoul90 · 21/05/2020 18:59

@Daisysandviolets I will do! Smile thank you I feel a bit more relaxed now I’ve had 3+ weeks come up on a test which is silly really. I suffer from anxiety anyway so I’ve been really paranoid symptom checking, doing clear blue date tests etc. You could go insane! Xx

I'm currently 7 + 5. Found out at 5 weeks, symptoms for week 5 where a splitting headache any time I stood up. Week 6 was nausea all day and sleeping all afternoon, vomiting all night. This week I've still no appetite but managing to keep my meals down I've also went off a lot of food including cups of tea I've gone from having 6/7 cups a day to finding it really strange that anyone would want a cup of tea Confused.

I'm feeling a lot better this week and worried something was wrong but DM assured me that'll be fine and should be getting as much fruit and veg into me while I can encase the sickness comes back.

Northernsoul90 · 21/05/2020 19:05

@WindsorBlues I’ve heard from quite a few people that symptoms can be intermittent I had sore boobs for a few days that came and went which made me feel panicky! It’s the worst checking for symptoms and wondering what’s going on. Xx

Just to add we're booking in for a private scan in the next week or two, our trust won't let partners in to the 12 week scan because of Corona Virus. My DH and I have been trying to concieve for 5 years and I really want him with me when I hear the heartbeat for the first time. It's pregnancy number 1 for both of us.

Lily2020 · 21/05/2020 20:25

Good luck everyone with your early scans 😊 I've booked an early scan for 9 weeks (3weeks away) for reassurance & so my husband can join, 2nd baby but equally as exciting & special 😁

TildaTurnip · 21/05/2020 21:51

@Northernsoul90 with my first I had a scan at 6, 7, 9 weeks (as I miscarried a twin). With my second I had at 8/9 weeks.

Willow146 · 22/05/2020 08:36

Ladies I came into this forum to find a thread just like this, thank you. I also have no symptoms but with my first I had sore boobs and cramps right from 10dpo. It’s reassuring that others are feeling the same. Xx

Northernsoul90 · 22/05/2020 12:41

I have booked a scan for in 2 weeks time, I’ll be roughly 8 weeks then! Something to look forward to Smile

Violetlilac · 22/05/2020 13:19

I'm holding off to book a scan or anything as I've had some spotting and don't want to get my hopes up. Hoping to get through to the next week and then I'll see where I am at!

RDC2020 · 02/06/2020 10:19

Hi 👋🏼 I realise this thread hasn't been used for a while - but wondered if anyone has any advice/ experience of symptoms stopping.

I am 4+6 and I've had sensitive/ full feeling breasts since I found out - however, I woke up this morning and they're not sensitive. No cramps or bleeding and I did a FRER and it's a darker positive than it has been previously.

Should I be worried that my boobs are no longer sore!? 😢🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

Amyszymm · 02/06/2020 14:41

Hi @RDC2020
I could of wrote your post myself!! I'm in exactly the same position.
I hope it all goes well for you Thanksxx

RDC2020 · 02/06/2020 14:44

@Amyszymm glad I'm not alone but sorry you're feeling this way too!

As the day has gone on I feel a bit more positive - I've definitely gone off food (not got sickness but just not hungry) - which I am taking as a good sign/symptom!

Fingers crossed for us both 🤞🏼✨
