@Beccarans89 def no point if you would go ahead anyway. I'm sure everything will be fine

Pe4nutsmum · 27/05/2020 14:31

Thanx everyone for the well wishes. I swear this has been the longest day ever.

Just jumping in on the pram chat. I'm going to get a doona, I need something quick and easy to get in and and out the car as I'll be taking two too and from school (my sons, 8 and 12) I love this and it has fantasic reviews.

I got all the bassinet last time and never used them twice. So I'm not going for that. And this will be easy for going on holiday too. We plan to do a three week trip to America next year fingers crossed. So this will be idea for that.

@Beccarans89 the harmony or iona/nipt would only be something I'd, or anyone I think, would advise you to do if it would change the outcome of your decision to proceed with the pregnancy. If it wouldn't then absolutely do not have it. It will be a complete waste of money, and to be honest very very likely anyway to come back as low risk.

If it did come back as high risk for down sydrome you'd be offered amio or CVS which as you are keen to keep the pregnancy whether the baby has down syndrome or not, then you would decline those invasive diagnostic tests.

The NHS test really isn't very accurate when it comes to false positives so I would be 99% certain that your baby does not have down syndrome.

Other women who have had much lower risks through NHS testing say 1/3000 or more, have actually gone on to discover at their twenty week scan or even at birth, that their baby down indeed have the condition. But this is also incredibly rare.

So either way unless we all have amio there is always a miniscule chance of our babies having some kind of condition or issues.

But for you personally with your certainly about the decision to continue even of you were to receive unfavorable results there is no need for you do the harmony lovely 😊

@roro87 did you hear back from the nub whisperer?

I've seen this pregnancy pillow mentioned a few times but it's always out of stock whenever I looked, it is currently available if anyone is after one.

Pregnancy pillow purchased! That’s a great price, some of them are ridiculous
Is everyone eating normally now? I’m so fed up. I don’t feel sick but just really off food and feel like I’ve regressed back to the earlier weeks of having small bowls of fruit, some cheese cubes etc. Headaches have been awful too. Sad

PipTed · 27/05/2020 15:26

@kkr168 pregnancy pillow 🙌🏻 Thanks for sharing the link. I’ve been driving my husband crazy with trying to get comfy this week, so I think it’s time to invest!

@peachypetite eating normal now but still have bloating after anything I drink or eat.

Starting to think the bloating is in fact the bump, as i noticed nothing really goes down over night and there is a visible ‘Lump’ in my stomach when I lay on my back.

Wearing out all my ‘nice’ clothes while I can as I can see I don’t have much time left to squeeze into everything! I’m a FTM so genuinely thought I would have ages yet, but nope! I’m only 5‘2 and usually size 8 so suppose it has nowhere to go?!? Unless I’m creating a beast in there?!

Anyone else’s bump arrived?

skinnyhotchoc · 27/05/2020 15:30

@PipTed yes I've had a bump for a while quite high up but I think it's because I had a tummy tuck and my lower stomach is really tight so it's sticking out at the top. I feel like a buddha. The clothing situation is starting to stress me out

PipTed · 27/05/2020 15:35

@skinnyhotchoc Same here! I had a full on meltdown the other day about the clothing situation 🙈 blaming the hormones!

I feel like my bump is my whole tummy, and I have already said goodbye to my waist.

Feel like this sun is giving the little ones a growth spurt!

kkr168 · 27/05/2020 15:36

@peachypetite I'm managing food fine now, the nausea stage seems to have passed, I also haven't had any headaches for a few days!
I have been uncomfortable & restless in bed for a few days, last night I woke up in agony, felt like I had pulled something in my stomach, hence me looking at pregnancy pillows today.

Pinktruffle · 27/05/2020 15:50

@Pipted, how far along are you? I'm 14 weeks tomorrow and I'm usually a very slim size 8, I've got a huge bump but I think it's bloating, I think the baby is below that but is getting bigger. I'm guessing it'll move up in to the bloat!

@ChampooPapi I may get my beloved Stokke but I'll be walking around a little ashamed at myself for spending so much, I always said I wouldn't be an OTT mum!

skinnyhotchoc · 27/05/2020 15:57

@PipTed I've just had some stuff from boohoo delivered as they had a good discount code on. I'm too tight to spend lots of money on maternity garb

PipTed · 27/05/2020 16:00

@Pinktruffle we’re at the same stage! 😊 I’m 14 weeks tomorrow too, perhaps this is a weird transition stage from bloat to bump? I can still pinch an inch, but I’m looking very round compared to what I normally would.

PipTed · 27/05/2020 16:02

@skinnyhotchoc ohh did you just size up? I’ve been looking on boohoo today, So good that smock dresses are on trend! Saying that, my most coveted item is over the bump cycling shorts 😂

Pinktruffle · 27/05/2020 16:10

@PipTed yeah I'm certainly looking round, I'm currently wearing my husbands tracksuit bottoms (lots of stretch, waistband is just above my bump) and have been wearing his t-shirt a lot so they roomy! I don't think he's overly pleased at being my maternity wardrobe Grin

My bump gets super tight the later we go on in the day, by the evening its rock solid which is what's making me think its bloating rather than pure baby bump

skinnyhotchoc · 27/05/2020 16:14

@PipTed yes but you don't need to in the maternity stuff or floaty stuff. Most of it ended up being like £5 because they've got a code for £15 off a £60 spend. I got two dresses, three t shirts, a vest top and 2 pairs of earrings for £50. Only one dress is useless as too big but I'll just shove it on as a nightdress unless I get really big 🙈🙈

Pe4nutsmum · 27/05/2020 16:43

@Pe4nutsmum ahh that’s wonderful I’m loving seeing all of these beautiful scan photos. They’re making me feel slightly more relaxed about tomorrow.

RunnerGirl123 · 27/05/2020 17:12

Lovely news @pe4nutsmum! And lovely photo.

I'll have to try upload mine from the website as it won't let me on the app!

nearlyamummyof3 · 27/05/2020 17:39

Lovely photo @Pe4nutsmum I reckon boy as well!

What beautiful prams and some good deals as well!

We've got a lovely silver cross stroller for our little one I thought would last for ages!
But I'm still struggling to find a triple one as our son will only be 14 months - I was thinking of getting a buggy board at the back of a double for the twins but I think he will still be a bit young for any long walks without sitting down!

I'm thinking I might have to get a toddler & newborn double and then just have one of the twins on a sling?
Gonna need 3 car seats in the back as well!

Hope everyone is well today in this humidity ❤️❤️❤️

nearlyamummyof3 · 27/05/2020 17:40

Congrats on your scan as well @RunnerGirl123 looking forward to the pic 🥰

nearlyamummyof3 · 27/05/2020 17:41

Good luck for tomorrow @Eskdale2004 will be thinking of you. I know how much stress it's been getting to this point! It will be so lovely seeing your little bean finally on the screen tomorrow 💙💕💙💕

RunnerGirl123 · 27/05/2020 17:49

Here's little one!!

EithneBlue · 27/05/2020 18:06

@kkr168 thank you for the pillow link! I also just bought one! Husband seemed a little alarmed by the size of it 😂

Gosh you're all so organised with planning your buggies! I still don't really feel like there is a human in me (and generally feeling significantly better this week too) so haven't done any more than idle browsing.
I did just book my NCT course though (which dented my bank account a touch) because they only have a limited number of spaces so I wanted to be sure of getting a slot on the course that is actually local to me instead of the other side of Bristol!

Babyhope98 · 27/05/2020 18:29

Congratulations everyone who had successful scans today Flowers

Has anyone started getting headaches frequently since the second trimester I’m having them everyday now. Don’t know if the heat is contributing, anyone found a natural solution if so I don’t want to keep taking paracetamol. Or do I just have to wait it out they are quite horrible :(

Beccarans89 · 27/05/2020 18:36

@Babyhope98 I've been having exactly the same! I am 14 weeks today and the headaches have been quite bad for the last couple of days! I wondered about the heat too but my app said today it's very common at this stage!
