Hi everyone, I've been watching this thread since day one over on the first December baby thread (stalker, I know!!) finally joining as I am 12 weeks tomorrow - hope I can join.

Really pleased to hear all of your good news re scans and tests x

I'm a MN friend of @ChampooPapi and we have been on very similar journeys together! I had a MMC last October at 7 weeks and fell pregnant again this March (first baby). I'm 11+6 today and had my NHS dating scan today - all looked good :) I also had two private scans so my husband could come too. It's all starting to sink in now, especially since we have told friends and family today!

Have attached a photo - if anyone wants to guess the gender just for fun, please give it a go! I have my suspicions!

Hope you're all not doing too badly and that the sickness and headaches ease soon. Also I'm finding Werthers originals and Jacobs cream crackers great for nausea x

Thanks everyone for the good wishes! Will update you all afterwards!

@Nroseh so glad you've got good news! Thanks for keeping us updated.

RunnerGirl123 · 26/05/2020 20:29

@danielasummer welcome to the group! Glad you had a good scan!! What a lovely picture!!

firstbabybell · 26/05/2020 20:31

@Nroseh fantastic news!! 💞

NaomiB79 · 26/05/2020 20:34

Thanks @nearlyamummyof3 and @ChampooPapi for the advice about the sickness will just ride it out and hope it eases a bit in the next month or so.

Hope yours eases too and you start to feel better soon.

Bobbieblu · 26/05/2020 20:47

@Nroseh fantastic news. Hopefully you can now relax and enjoy the next few months.

@danielasummer my guess is boy

@RunnerGirl123 good luck tomorrow!

ChampooPapi · 26/05/2020 21:17

@danielasummer Welcome to the group! I'm obviously blubbing now because of writing that sentence.

I can't believe after everything we went through you just posted a 12 week scan photo and I am writing those fateful four words 'welcome to the group' 😭

No words really other then absolutely bloody excellent! So happy for you and it's just incredible to a part of this journey with you.

This time, on this antinatal thread, we will be the ones taking our babies home with us.

Yes we will drive ourselves a bit stir crazy probably sometimes right up until we are holding them, but we are going to get there this time

@Nroseh thank goodness! I am so pleased you've updated, you must be so relieved and that Iona test is just amazing isn't it. And so brilliant to let others know on the thread the process that you and your partner went through as well. You can look ahead now with excitement and such a weight off your shoulders 👣💜

@danielasummer how happy must your family and friends have been when you told them! Had you told your mum before this stage or was it literally everyone you just told? It's been a long bloody road hasn't it, so wonderful to be able to share the good news after all those months.

How are you feeling in yourself? Are you in the greener pastures of no neseua or still retching at most things? I'm closer to the good times on the scale but today my head has been so bad and I've been so pathetic, like a little old lady shuffling around the house and garden

@nroseh this is great news! A really positive outcome and story for anyone facing some difficult test results. Thanks so much for sharing.
@RunnerGirl123 are you awake already with excitement? I’ve woken up at a stupid hour and felt the need to catch up on this thread! Wishing you all the best for the scan today.
@ChampooPapi sounds like you are getting emotional at the moment, bless you! Sending hugs to our group leader Smile
@NaomiB79 sorry to hear the sickness has started at 12 weeks, that just isn’t fair. I haven’t felt nauseous in the first trimester (which I feel guilty about posting on this thread especially when I read people still feel sick @peachypetite @nearlyamummyof3 ) but on the flip side I’ve been super constipated! Not sure I want to go from that to throwing up!
Last shout out @Eskdale2004 was so relieved you finally got a scan. Good luck on thurs.
And big love to all the other ladies on the thread x

Pe4nutsmum · 27/05/2020 07:10

Good morning ladies,
So glad to see all the great results yesterday.

Good luck to everyone having scans today.
4 o'clock can't come. Quick enough.

Sorry I can't remember your name, but you asked about private scans near Edinburgh. I'm in Airdrie and have a private scan with window into the womb and my partner can come along.

What are you all doing for migraines. My are completely crippling. And paracetamol is just not touching the sides.

Eskdale2004 · 27/05/2020 07:28

@Pe4nutsmum sorry you have to wait until 4pm 😬 I hate late afternoon appointments.

Mines at 10:20 tomorrow and I’ll be setting off an hour before that as the hospital is quite a way away and the 3DC’s will keep me very busy until that point which I’m grateful for! Good luck! I’m afraid I’ve no advice for migraines. Hopefully someone will come along with something helpful.

RunnerGirl123 · 27/05/2020 07:47

Good luck @Pe4nutsmum for your scan later today. Hope time goes quickly for you! Also good luck to anyone else with scans for the rest of the week.

@lockdown84 I've been awake since 4:30 🙈 tried getting back to sleep but just couldn't settle. I just keep repeating my positive mantras in my head, and trying not to throw up with nerves / excitement lol.

Sorry i can't help with migraines advice either, but really hope anyone still feeling iffy with nausea / headaches starts feeling loads better soon.

roro87 · 27/05/2020 08:18

Good Luck to everyone today. Got my next appointment letter and not until 22 weeks and it is a scan and an appointment.

@lockdown84 I had both constipation and sickness tbh I'd nearly say in my case the constipation was worse although my sickness wasn't as bad as a lot of people.

Snowwhite2020 · 27/05/2020 08:37

Good luck for all scans today 💖

@nroseh thank you for sharing your story re: results. I’m sure it is a comfort to many of us that the harmony rest can provide more accurate info and is an option (albeit an expensive one) for anyone that finds themselves with high risk nhs results.

Still vomiting over here, unfortunately. I’ll be 14 weeks tomorrow! So that’s been 9 weeks of throwing up breakfast lunch and dinner. Getting tired of it! The nausea is much better tho, so between times I am not feeling like I need to lie down so much and yesterday I managed to eat a vegetable for dinner and keep it down 💪 baby steps!

Hoping with each passing day it lessens- I think it is...... so hopefully the sickness won’t go on forever! Xx

skinnyhotchoc · 27/05/2020 08:41

Good luck to everyone with scans. My nhs one is Friday and still waiting for harmony results from last week. Jumping every time my mobile goes!

lockdown84 · 27/05/2020 08:58

@Pe4nutsmum sorry I missed you. Good luck with scan today.... After 4pm! That’s just mean!
