Double cuteness!

peachypetite · 21/05/2020 17:53

Honestly at this stage they all look the same to me Blush

RunnerGirl123 · 21/05/2020 18:01

@peachypetite I think they all look the same too!! I can never see what people are mentioning in their theories lol!!

But I'll totally be getting you all the guess mine next week haha!

firstbabybell · 21/05/2020 18:39

Lovely scan pics girls! 🥰

@nearlyamummyof3 my midwife told me this cute thing they're doing because the dad's aren't allowed in the 20 week scans at the mo to get them involved. The sonographer puts the gender in an envelope so that the dad can reveal the gender to the mum. 💞 Too cute!

nearlyamummyof3 · 21/05/2020 19:00

Gorgeous @ChampooPapi what a lovely pair of little beans! It's interesting to see yours to see the difference between them being in 2 sacks and being in 1! You still have a 1/3 chance of being identical right?!

@firstbabybell that is the cutest thing I think that's what I will do! Maybe even get our little baby to see if he can open the envelope ☺️🥰🎈🧸

CatandKitten · 21/05/2020 19:00

Thanks :D Had no idea you could find out so early! All of the scan pictures are beautiful :) Hoping they will let me video a bit of the scan at then end for DP tomorrow. Has anyone else done anything like thar? I feel for DP (first baby) that he hasn't been able to come, but totally understand why. The pictures are lovely but it is something else to see them dancing about on the screen! Got our scan tomorrow xxx Last two days getting round ligament pain when I stand....wow it was a shock first time!

excitednerves · 21/05/2020 20:44

Congrats to everyone on their scans! So many lovely scan pics today!

I’ve got my first consultant appointment tomorrow, however it’s the same person I saw in my first pregnancy so it will be quite nice!

Birry · 21/05/2020 21:22

@ChampooPapi lovely photos 😊. Am guessing girl and boy? @CatandKitten isn't it just the best to see them on the screen 😊 wish you could take home a video and photos too 🙈

roro87 · 21/05/2020 22:15

@ChampooPapi I'm going to guess girls because the test shows x or y chromosome so if you got a Y you'd only know what one baby is. However I could be totally wrong Confused

skinnyhotchoc · 21/05/2020 22:29

@ChampooPapi how long did it take for your NIPT results to come back? I was told 7 working days

dora3x · 21/05/2020 22:33

Hi, new to the thread! I had my scan yesterday and due on 20th November.
Can anyone make any guesses on gender for me?just for fun! Smile

Loving all the scan photos, although I’m terrible at guessing and so will leave it to the experts Grin. Still got a week until my scan, I think time is going drag... Good luck with any scans in the next few days!

peachypetite · 22/05/2020 07:45

Today is pay day for me Grin so I’m going to treat myself to some bras and leggings.

RunnerGirl123 · 22/05/2020 07:58

Good luck for anyone who has scans today!

And congrats to those who shared scans later on yesterday! Such an exciting time!

It's my payday too, but waiting for my scan next week before I buy anything - mainly looking at leggings and a pregnancy pillow. I'm now technically 12+1 according to my LMP but it may be a day or 2 out as my cycles were averaging 30 days. If everything is going to plan, this is the furthest I've ever been and I'm just amazed to have made it this far!

Dee96 · 22/05/2020 08:40

Scan day today! Super nervous. This pregnancy has been really hard for me to accept I just haven't been able to feel connected to it at all as much as I try so I'm really holding out on seeing the little one to give me that feeling and bond I'm hoping for

firstbabybell · 22/05/2020 09:01

@dee96 I felt the same - up until seeing it waving at me I just felt ill & couldn't really connect that to being pregnant. I've read it's totally normal. I'm sure your scan will help. Also being able to tell people made it feel more real. But even then I think developing a bump & feeling the quickenings is when it really clicks. I can't wait!!

Good luck! 💞

firstbabybell · 22/05/2020 09:02

@peachypetite yay get spending!!! 😀

ChampooPapi · 22/05/2020 09:15

@skinnyhotchoc had the test on Thursday and they were back by the following Thursday morning and over that bank holiday Friday we had so very quick.

And they are both Girls! Grin

Hello everyone! Great to see so many lovely scan pics and sending lots of positivity to those who had screening results that need further investigation. 🤞🏻

I had the screening on Tuesday along with my scan and I’m worrying myself over the results, I don’t want the amnio if there is need for further testing. How do I go about the blood test?! Is this something they explain to you?

I’ve seen harmony mentioned but sounds like this was a test done in conjunction with Combined test and not after?!

If anyone has more knowledge it would be great to hear. 😊

PipTed · 22/05/2020 09:33

Not sure I made much sense there 😂 I had the combined screening on Tuesday and I’m awaiting the results. Haven’t had any results yet, but just want to be informed to make a decision should I need to when I hear back...

skinnyhotchoc · 22/05/2020 09:45

@PipTed you can have harmony done after but it's a test done privately. The harmony test is a blood test that is supposed to be more accurate than the combined tests the hospitals offer. So if your results came back high risk you could go for a harmony test if budget allows. If the harmony test was to come back low risk you wouldn't need to have an amino. Both the combined and the harmony are not diagnostic but the harmony is supposed to be 99% accurate for Down's syndrome and just slightly less for the others. @ChampooPapi will be able to correct if I have any of that wrong lol

PipTed · 22/05/2020 09:57

@skinnyhotchoc thank you. Ok the harmony test sounds like something I would prefer, should test results deem the need.

Do they offer this at NHS hospitals, but with a charge or would I have to seek a private hospital that offers it?

Sorry for all the questions. I just really don’t want the amnio; having had a miscarriage before, I want to keep risk as low as possible.

skinnyhotchoc · 22/05/2020 10:00

I went through ultrasound direct but if you ask your midwife she might be able to recommend the best local place. I think some hospitals do offer them for a charge but mine didn't

lionsmum · 22/05/2020 10:05

Good luck to those with scans today💖

ChampooPapi · 22/05/2020 10:20

@skinnyhotchoc summs it up well but i can link you the thread with all the information and facts as too. I also used ultrasound direct as most private hospitals that offer it have been redeployed because of covid. I had mine at 11 weeks but its fine up to 14 weeks i think but read the thread as its very informative lovely @PipTed
