Thanks @Amyyy1 xx

skinnyhotchoc · 21/05/2020 10:39

@Amymone I'm so sorry you're going through this. It's so good of you to be so generous spirited to wish everyone here well when you're so worried. Bless you! Xx

firstbabybell · 21/05/2020 10:43

@amymone really sorry to hear about this, I can't imagine how stressful it must be. Thinking of you & I am pleased it sounds like your medical team are being supportive.

Babyhope98 · 21/05/2020 10:44

@Amymone oh bless you, I'm sorry to hear you are going through this :( I hope it all works out for you Halo

ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 11:04

Oh @Amymone that's devastating, I can't imagine what your going through right now. And your generous spirit as our lovely @skinnyhotchoc touched on, is so beautiful. You are an amazing person, truly. They way people handle things on here sometimes can knock you for six and this is one of those times. I know your torn apart and you are having to be strong and resilient to get through. But honest to God, the flouncing you see on mumsnet for tiny things and here you are updating us so eloquently with love and compassion as well as telling us all the information we need to know to not only support you, but because you are posting somewhere where you know others will look and learn from in the future. Your post will give so many women support and understanding. You have given us so much understanding and knowledge is power as they say.

Is the next step amio? Are you having it?

We are here for you 💜

@Amymone sorry to hear of your worry and stress. Lots of love to you xx

RunnerGirl123 · 21/05/2020 11:07

So sorry @amymone. Take all the time you need to do further research and gain any further opinions before making decisions on what to do next. Glad you're being supported well so far. Will be thinking of you, and hoping for the best for you both. Sending hugs x

ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 11:10

@Amymone or is there no point in the amio or CVS because it's only testing for those three abnormalities and you've already had very low risks for those?

OP posts:
ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 11:11

I'm just so sorry this is happening to you 😞

@ChampooPapi I think both pick up other things...my Aunt (many years ago) was in the pilot scheme for cvs as she'd had a previous pregnancy, which ended in tfmr- baby was determined to have a very rare chromosomal abnormality which was unnamed but was determined to be bad luck. I'm definitely no expert though!!

ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 11:31

@onlyreadingneverposting8 I was imagining that kind of diagnostic test would hopefully reveal more for her to give her a definite answer. But it is new territory for me as well, I really do appreciate you posting this, it's helpful for all of us to be more informed

ChampooPapi · 21/05/2020 11:33

@onlyreadingneverposting8 that must have been so awful for your aunt to go through. But I imagine back then absolutely ground breaking to detect something like that, and no doubt changed her whole life for the better eventually , however difficult and heartbreaking a decision to tfmr

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your well wishes before my scan. It was a very nerve wracking morning but the scan went great, and our little rainbow is growing well🥰🌈

Feel free to have a guess at the sex if you like too!

@lionsmum arhhh! Brilliant news 😁 I'm thinking a boy?. Are you going to find out at the twenty week scan or are you going for a private gender scan?

I've got 7 weeks until my next scan but think after all the scanxiety for the last few I'm going to wait it out this time

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 21/05/2020 12:32

@ChampooPapi genuinely thought I was going to have a complete breakdown Monday evening, through the night and Tuesday before my scan. Even seriously considered not going at all. Felt slightly euphoric after it but now the anxiety has started again! 😖

skinnyhotchoc · 21/05/2020 12:33

So far so good. This was the harmony appointment today. Measuring 12+2. Guy really struggled to get the blood so I'm black and blue now. They wanted to send me away and get hospital to take the bloods but I convinced him to take it out of my wrist ( not recommended) so we got there in the end. Any guesses welcome!

skinnyhotchoc · 21/05/2020 12:34

@lionsmum I guess boy!

Amyyy1 · 21/05/2020 12:36

@lionsmum I'm going to say boy!! Pleased it went well for you x

Amyyy1 · 21/05/2020 12:38

@skinnyhotchoc I feel like I only ever guess boy but I think yours is too🤣 It'll be so interesting to see how accurate we have all been with our predictions!

MummyShark97 · 21/05/2020 12:38

@lionsmum congratulations - I think boy!
@skinnyhotchoc I think boy too but less certain x congrats !

Snowwhite2020 · 21/05/2020 12:42

@Amymone I am so sorry you are going through this. Pregnancy in general is not a fair game- none of us are in control- and I am glad that you have had doctors reassure you by underlining that fact. I wish you all the best luck with further testing and am on awe of your strength to post and share this story. You are amazing. All the love to you 💕

Snowwhite2020 · 21/05/2020 12:42

Congrats @lionsmum! 💖
