My scan went well. So happy!
Didn’t drink quite enough, but enough to do the necessary. Baby was in very awkward position, but the sonographer was lovely and very patient. I always get rubbish scan pics. I have a raised bmi but basically every bit of fat I own sits on my tummy so it doesn’t make for great pics. My due date has been bought forward a little so due the 22nd November.
Glad the other scans went well- what a relief 😊
Good luck for those having scans tomorrow.

Hi all! Thanks for the new thread. It's been a crazy week. My dating scan is Friday, but last Wednesday I had crippling back pain, then terrible cramps at the weekend with some bleeding d :( I had the longest wait for the earliest scan I could get on Tuesday... (stress + full bladder + 2 hour delay on appointment time minus your DP was not ideal) But when the sonographer showed me the little one doing somersaults on the screen I cried with relief. Still have the dating screening scan on Friday...Really excited now to see if our little one is still having an internal disco or having a snooze. Just wanted to share... good luck with your scans :) A truly truly wonderful experience (this is my first pregnancy) :) Take care all x

CatandKitten · 20/05/2020 17:21

Congrats on your scan @Lavenderpurple :)

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 20/05/2020 17:30

@CatandKitten glad to hear all is well! I can relate - I had spotting at 11 weeks (turned out to be 10+3) so ended up at the epu. Thankfully our epu is gyny A&e so you can literally turn up 24/7 and they'll see you, although like A&e how quickly is dependant on how busy they are. I also cried when the specialist nurse said baby was fine! She had to ask me to keep still so she could get her measurements.

CatandKitten · 20/05/2020 17:47

Thanks @onlyreadingneverposting8 :) I'm so pleased you had good news also :D it's such an anxious time at some points and everyone has their own experience. So good that you can turn up (the waiting is awful) ours needs a referral through your GP to attend. I have the picture on my desk now whilst I work! All this happened yesterday so been a bit wiped out today (don't think the heat is helping!) We picked up some baby clothes in the sale on the way home and have a little case upstairs we are putting little bits in at a time, which is lowly making things feel much more real! Is it your first or do you have other littles too?

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 20/05/2020 18:06

@CatandKitten not my first - I've got a few! But it feels like my first because my "last" one was my LAST and we haven't kept anything other than a few bits of sentimental clothes!! And also there will be over 4 yrs between this one and current youngest. My due date is 24/11 what's yours?

skinnyhotchoc · 20/05/2020 18:10

@onlyreadingneverposting8 that's not too bad. There will be 7 years between my dd and this one. It's taken me this long to forget the horrors of the first time round

RunnerGirl123 · 20/05/2020 18:44

Congrats on all the good scans today! Some lovely pics, and I'm loving all the good news! One week to go for me, I feel like I'm on the final stretch of waiting! Especially with a 3 day weekend in the middle, that'll definitely help things pass more quickly!

Good luck to everyone having scans tomorrow and Friday!

RunnerGirl123 · 20/05/2020 18:49

My office might be going back next month... they're putting plans in place, just waiting for Gov advice before moving forward with anything. I haven't told them about the pregnancy yet, but plan to after my scan so not sure what that will entail for me!! It'll be phased and mixed with home working and I can avoid public transport if I need to which would be my main concern!! But I'm not sure what their stance will be on pregnant employees going back anyway.

RestorationInsanity · 20/05/2020 18:49

Just over a week for me @RunnerGirl123. I'm next Friday. Will be 12+3 then. Am feeling really nervous all will not be fined even though I've had nothing to suggest it won't be, and the odds are in my favour!

Nausea has returned in the past couple of days after a week off, and my boobs seems to be growing every day and are excruciating! Hope they're all good signs.

ChampooPapi · 20/05/2020 18:49

@skinnyhotchoc haha, yes 😆 there is an 8 year age gap between our first two. They are 10 and 2

Nice to see so many getting good news now too!

kkr168 · 20/05/2020 19:22

@onlyreadingneverposting8 they'll be 17 years between mine 😂
@Lavenderpurple my BMI is high too, I had to stretch my tummy by pulling it flatter to get the baby's stomach image, so embarrassing! Although I got told off for not eating enough, apparently they could tell from my urine sample? I'd had jam on toast a couple of hours before the scan, surely that's enough?
I was measuring at 12+6, so brought forward 4 days, due date is now 26th November.
At the epu when I had my MC they discovered an ovarian cyst, I've been worrying this whole time that it's huge. They checked during today's scan, said it's very small (2cm x 1.5cm), they weren't concerned & just said I will be re-scanned 3-4 months post birth
This picture maybe slightly clearer

peachypetite · 20/05/2020 19:22

My appetite has come back so I’ve eaten dinner the last two nights. Healthy food! And I’ve bloated immediately after Hmm it’s only after dinner though! Pregnancy really is the gift that keeps on giving, right?

RestorationInsanity · 20/05/2020 19:25

Oh absolutely @peachypetite. I've been back on the beige food for the past 2 days, and middle of the night digestives to curb the nausea enough to go back to sleep after the many many wee breaks!

onlyreadingneverposting8 · 20/05/2020 19:47

@kkr168 ahh now that is a good gap! They will have detected ketones in your urine, which shows your not eating enough.
I'm still terribly nauseous and eating only bread, wheatabix, rice cakes, quorn slices and the odd apple! I have put on 7lbs though!

skinnyhotchoc · 20/05/2020 19:54

@kkr168 for my dh there will be 19 years. He's got older children from first marriage. I keep telling him if Richard Gere can do it!

CatandKitten · 20/05/2020 20:32

@onlyreadingneverposting8 atm 6th December but will see what they say Friday! :) Lovely for your little one to have older siblings! @skinnyhotchoc @ChampooPapi there are 30 years between me and my youngest sister (dad remarried)! @kkr168 lovely picture :) @peachypetite my appetite has come back with a vengence too! Chicken salad tonight....all good but followed by a lemon tart and cream (oops). @RunnerGirl123 I'm working at home right now but I have a public facing role so not sure what will happen....haven't told my employer yet either....

hollyjg · 20/05/2020 20:38

Congratulations to all who had scans what a lovely selection of pictures to look at!
Good luck to everyone tomorrow looking forward to another load of scans to look at!
🥰😍🥳
I was wondering if anyone had tried pregnancy yoga? I'm allergic to exercise at the best of times lol but am so knackered and sore am wondering if it will help!
Thanks 😊

ChampooPapi · 20/05/2020 20:45

@kkr168 arhhh! Congratulations 💖👣✨ fantastic update to see your scan, what a beat! What are we thinking? Boy?

OP posts:
hollyjg · 20/05/2020 20:57

I was thinking boy too @ChampooPapi @kkr168 💙

ChampooPapi · 20/05/2020 20:59

@hollyjg I really should have compiled a list of the predictions, taking the most predicted as the guesses. I keep doing things then getting so weak and pathetic I have to lay down and look at clothes or paint charts on my phone 🤦😆

OP posts:
hollyjg · 20/05/2020 21:04

Haha @ChampooPapi that's been my go to when feeling tired or like I can't concentrate straight on baby clothes websites!
I haven't even started looking for furniture for the twins feels way to stressful!
Plus need to have a triple pram really as son will only be 14 months when twins are born if anyone has suggestions on this! 💕💕

CatandKitten · 20/05/2020 21:04

@hollyjg I tried this on youtube m.youtube.com/watch?v=A1mn9brmP4I found it very relaxing! :)

firstbabybell · 20/05/2020 21:33

Gosh this thread moves so fast, I can't keep up! What lovely pictures though ☺️

@hollyjg I did some pregnant yoga YouTube this evening as it was too hot to walk. I thought they were great. 🙌🏼

Still experimenting with who I like though so if anyone had any suggestions of who to follow I'm all ears. 👂🏼 There are loads!
