Hello! Joining the thread. Had my "12" week scan yesterday at exactly 13 weeks. @Amyyy1 good luck and hope everything to good! I can really empathise as this pregnancy for me is off the back of 3 consecutive mc (1 mmc) and I've had 5 mc altogether. Was glad that like yours my scan was quite early on! Found the whole thing of booking done by phone and then having to navigate making sure that the hospital did the rest yesterday (booking bloods, BP, urine to send off) a bit difficult. Everyone was lovely at the hospital but it was a bit disorganised and if I hadn't known what I needed to have done for booking (having had children before) I'm not at all sure it would all have happened yesterday. Also found it odd that the scanners and staff in ultrasound were PPE'd up to the eyeballs but the midwives and staff in antenatal didn't have any on...

Here my scan - can't see the nub at all so blind guesses as to sex!!

Morning ladies.
Sorry I was MIA yesterday but sickness kicked my butt. Had a migraine from hell and unable to take anything.

I have been trying to stick to slimming world whilst pregnant, and still weigh every week. I have lost 9lbs since finding out I'm pregnant as I can't keep anything down. I am literally living on round tree jelly and ice poles and the odd bit of fruit.

Don't get me wrong I eat all 3 meals but they don't stay down. Hope this ends soon.

So lovely to see all the great scan pictures yesterday.

Thank you all SO much for how reassuring you've all been!!! I had a bad panic attack before and during but they were all super lovely and helped calm me down and didn't make me feel like I was a nuisance to them, did not feel rushed either! Baby was wriggling about lots so that was nice to see😊

It has been lovely seeing everyone’s scan pictures - I have no idea about all this gender stuff so I’ll leave it to the others to make some guesses!! I keep calling mine a ‘she’ but I’m starting to feel guilty in case I call it ‘her’ the whole time and it turns out to be a boy!!

To all those suffering with headaches I completely empathise. Mine have been terrible over the last week - almost daily and nothing helps. I really don’t want to take paracetamol (I’ve cracked a couple of times and taken 1 because I haven’t been able to see straight). I can’t find anything that helps, I’ve been drinking loads, stretching, using 4head, hot water bottles and Epsom salt baths but nothing touches them. I don’t know if there is any point in speaking to midwife or gp if it’s just one of those horrible pregnancy things!

As for eating I’m not having any problems there! Hubby told me last night that I’m looking very ‘round’ lol xx

@tea my headaches have eased now but I had a terrible run and didn’t take any paracetamol. From what I read online it’s down to those pesky pregnancy hormones and not much can be done :( I did find fresh air helped and tried to keep myself hydrated.
I have no idea about guessing sex either and definitely going to have a surprise at birth.

I'm was literally bursting for a wee so the scan was quite uncomfortable, but so worth it.

Lots of scans today! I'd be useless at guessing the sex! Who's going to find out and who's not? I'm 50/50 with this one - half of me wants to find out ASAP and half of me doesn't want to know at all...well until birth! Last time I did that through my DH convinced me baby was a girl and he wasn't!! I was not disappointed at all but it was strange because I'd expected to see a girl!

@onlyreadingneverposting8 I know what you mean! I definitely will find out and booked a private scan yesterday for 17 weeks so that my husband can join. Personally I just like the idea of knowing and planning out the nursery, thinking up names and calling the baby he or she! But I have to say I think it's is really lovely to have a surprise, something just so pure and natural about it so I really admire those waiting for a surprise! Certainly down to an individual x

We are booking a private scan at 16-17 weeks to find out the gender, I am way too impatient to wait until I am giving birth to know!!!!
