I've been checking my maternity notes app this morning to see if there are an combined screening results yet (bloods taken only a week ago but hopeful of a quick result none the less!) - can see my notes were updated in the early hours of Saturday morning. Now I have the fear the results are back, it's bad news and I'm waiting on a letter...but we have long royal mail delays here with covid, stressing for a Monday morning 😭

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 10:18

@wannabebump I was told if it’s bad news on the combined screening they’ll call, if it’s all fine they just send a letter/update notes. I’d have thought that would be the same everywhere?

@Buffalocauliflower yey 😁🥳

TangBloodyFastic · 11/05/2020 10:34

@BuffaloCauliflower lovely scan pic!!!! 🥰

wannabebump · 11/05/2020 10:34

@BuffaloCauliflower it probably is the same everywhere, just panicking. Can't see anything else updated so assuming it's those results. Trying to be calm as NT measurement on scan was fine!

FilthyforFirth · 11/05/2020 10:49

Excellent news @BuffaloCauliflower!

To the pp who doesnt have their scan date yet, I would chase that up. I am due on the 26th and my scan is at 13+1 next week so I would have thought I am one of the last. You should have yours by now, especially if you are due before me.

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 10:51

Thanks all! Finally feel like I can get excited now Smile

@wannabebump I’m sure everything is fine and they would have called if it wasn’t

wannabebump EDD 22nd Nov.

I got in contact with the community midwife last week to ask about the scan as was starting to worry I had been 'lost'. She said she would look into it. I don't have any other contacts yet. So hope she will come back to me with an answer.
I'm also a high risk pregnancy, and was expecting to meet my consultant by 12 weeks, but again no word yet.

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 11:16

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley I’d call again today, don’t wait. Call the midwife unit and say you’re concerned you’ve still not heard.

@Hancock2020 thrush is much more common in pregnancy and it could be the beginnings of that. Also could be bacterial vaginosis, which some women are more prone to. Worth giving your GP a ring to drop off a urine sample (just in case it’s a UTI) and they could also advise you on the best treatment if it is thrush or BV.

Really lovely clear scan photo @buffalocauliflower

I’ve no idea how different trusts do things @IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley but it seems quite late to be giving out appointments now. Definitely chase your scan!

60sPony · 11/05/2020 11:56

@BuffaloCauliflower what a cutie! Glad all went well

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 12:10

Thanks all Smile DH very excited too.

I’m so tired today after sleeping badly last night. I’ve got an essay due Friday and I just can’t be bothered. Already got an extension for pregnancy exhaustion but it just needs to be adequate at this stage. This module has been literally cursed for me, it’s already my second attempt

@wannabebump My notes were updated on Saturday night too at 00:14. How bizarre! I've checked the details umpteen times and nothing's changed. I might phone them today. I have a couple of questions for the midwife so might just throw that in at the end!

ChocoholicMama · 11/05/2020 13:02

Hi all, may I join? I’ve been lurking for a few weeks and waiting for my scan which was this morning! All good and I’m so relieved!

Lovely scan pic @BuffaloCauliflower!!

@ChocoholicMama Lovely scan picture! Is baby relaxing with its arms under its head?!

ChocoholicMama · 11/05/2020 13:18

@Addler Lol, it does look like it doesn’t it!! It was a very quick scan so apart from a little wiggle I didn’t see much.

SMcG1 · 11/05/2020 13:38

This is not the nicest subject but is anyone else experiencing a build up of phlegm in their throat? I’ve just got over the morning sickness but now this has started making me throw up. I feel like I’m just destined to be miserable throughout this whole pregnancy.

Congratulations to everyone who’s scans have went well today. The pictures are lovely!

Pink15 · 11/05/2020 13:55

@ChocoholicMama @BuffaloCauliflower great scan pics both!! Congrats

NatalieH2220 · 11/05/2020 14:17

Lovely scan pics ladies!

I also had my scan today, measuring 12 weeks exactly. Baby was such a wriggler, it was lovely to see.

Addler · 11/05/2020 14:21

DP's breath smells like salami today. He hasn't eaten any salami. I can't go near him, it's horrendous. Not sure if it's a pregnancy-related super sense of smell or he has a deathly disease that's making him smell like cured meats.

Swale · 11/05/2020 14:26

Had my first scan this morning and all looks okay! Baby was jumping about all over the place. Smile Due date is 21st November.

If anyone needs maternity clothes, dorothy perkins has a sale on but it ends today. I just bought x2 Jean's and a top for £36

Happythecrocodile · 11/05/2020 14:53

Congrats to everyone who had their scans today.
Just got back from mine and it’s not good news unfortunately. I’m devastated.
Good luck to you all.

Pink15 · 11/05/2020 14:54
