@BuffaloCauliflower Good luck for tomorrow!!! Excited for you🥰

Pink15 · 10/05/2020 18:51

@Hancock2020 maybe ring the GP tomorrow and drop off a urine sample just to be sure?

Pink15 · 10/05/2020 18:52

@Anothercliche you are a fountain of knowledge! Thankyou

Pink15 · 10/05/2020 18:52

@BuffaloCauliflower good luck!!!

Sorry didn't mean to comment 3 times in a row just realised I kept missing stuff lol

MoreGinPlease2020 · 10/05/2020 19:27

@Anothercliche You might not be able to answer this (and sorry for picking your brain when you're off duty) but I take 100mg vit D (family history of osteoporosis) - should I be taking such a high dose in pregnancy? Or is this something I should really ask my midwife / GP?

Anothercliche · 10/05/2020 20:15

@Pink15 you're welcome!

@MoreGinPlease2020 100mcg is the max dosage recommended in pregnancy (and only recommended when you have known reasons for a high dosage such as yourself) so you should be fine at that dosage. However if you have any concerns at all then you should raise these with your GP or midwife as they will have knowledge of your medical history that I don't have.

If anyone else has any questions at all, I'm very happy to help as best I can. We're all in this together and I know pregnancy can be pretty confusing and scary (particularly right now!) so feel free to @ or pm me if there's anything you want to ask. Smile

MoreGinPlease2020 · 10/05/2020 20:19

Thanks @Anothercliche x

Chuckem15 · 10/05/2020 20:50

@Anothercliche thanks so much, this is so helpful. I'm mostly vegan (although have been eating cheese, butter and some fish in the last few weeks) so probably gonna continue to take multivitamins and calcium just in case, along with vit d and the pregnancy vits from the midwife. Really helpful to have your advice! Thanks again :)

TangBloodyFastic · 10/05/2020 20:56

Thanks @Anothercliche. DH vit D are 25ug so will take those.
I'm currently 12+4 and have prob 10 days of pregnancy vitamins left in the pack, I was just going to take them until they ran out to save throwing them away and then switch to just vit d when they were finished. Should I just not take them now and bin them due to the folic acid?

TangBloodyFastic · 10/05/2020 20:59

Also has anyone noticed the startings of their linea nigra? Mine looks like it's coming but is still really faint. Didn't think it would be so early

Wise0wl · 10/05/2020 21:00

@BuffaloCauliflower good luck for your scan tomorrow. I’m really nervous!

Anothercliche · 10/05/2020 21:06

@Chuckem15 just check your multivitamin doesn't have vitamin A in it - you shouldn't have any vitamin A supplements when pregnant.

@TangBloodyFastic 10 extra days of folic acid shouldn't cause any problems if you want to carry on taking them. Pregnancy vits are pricey so I won't tell you to throw them when you've already got them

TangBloodyFastic · 10/05/2020 21:10

Thanks ever so much @Anothercliche Grin

Happythecrocodile · 11/05/2020 01:01

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 07:39

Lovely to see all the scans, I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't even have a scan date yet?... it's driving me bananas not knowing

Happythecrocodile · 11/05/2020 09:03

Thanks @BuffaloCauliflower @Wise0wl I’m still having some bleeding so I’m a nervous wreck and don’t know how I will make it to 1.30.

wannabebump · 11/05/2020 09:11

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley I can't remember how many weeks you are? But I'd be chasing up your scan appointment if your due in Nov x

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 09:28

All looking good! Baby has a good heartbeat, a stomach, 2 arms, 2 legs! And the fluid behind the neck looks like they’re low risk for syndromes on the screening, but officially have to wait for blood results. Still measuring bigger at 13+3, due date November 13th!

She also said I have a little cyst on my left ovary - very normal apparently, it secretes hormones to help with the pregnancy. So that will be the sharp stabby pains I’ve been having on that side, good to know what that is.
