I’ve been saying he the whole time so it’ll probably be a girl. I’ll have to look into nub theory because I haven’t heard of it before.

Hancock2020 · 11/05/2020 19:19

@BuffaloCauliflower me too I really want another girl, and I know how disappointed I'll be if it's a boy because I had it when I found out about my ds, but I got over it lol.
I'm the ONLY one who wants a girl in the whole family 😥

BuffaloCauliflower · 11/05/2020 19:22

@Hancock2020 DH would like a girl too. No one else will mind either way (we’ve got a good spread of the sexes across both sides of the family already) I really will be happy with either and we want more children, but I would love it if this was a girl. I know we’ll be lucky just to have a healthy baby though

Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking in the background following this for weeks. Lovely to be following so many ladies going through the same experience. I’m due nov 5th, so I’m weeks 14 weeks 4 days today. I’m attaching a scan because I’ve still hardly told anyone and I’m desperate to share, and if anyone wants to guess the sex I’m so curious and can’t figure it out! X

Amytitch · 11/05/2020 19:32

@Hlb278 congratulations! Beautiful scan photo too! I'm guessing a girl ☺️

Coopsy92 · 11/05/2020 19:32

@XCarebearX congratulations! Hope you are doing well so far x

@ChocoholicMama Thanks - I keep switching from one to the other! Can't wait to find out Smile

@Hancock2020 I thought so too at first when I looked at the nub but I don't think it's obvious either way!

@BuffaloCauliflower That's interesting, thanks! I would love a girl too. I don't have much of a relationship with my mum and feel really sad that I've missed out so I would love to have that myself with a little girl. But it's my first baby so plenty of time for a girl if this one's a boy! Just feel so happy that it's happy and healthy so far Smile

Coopsy92 · 11/05/2020 19:35

@Hlb278 I think a girl too Smile I'm one week behind you and haven't told many people yet either, most of our family don't know still! I think it's partly due to lockdown as I haven't had to hide it from anyone and I've been waiting to tell people in person but think we'll just have to do it over video soon!

AnxiousLady1 · 11/05/2020 19:44

@happythecrocodile I'm so sorry it was bad news. Please take care of yourself. X

Wise0wl · 11/05/2020 19:46

Hello all! Sorry for the delayed reply, mad work afternoon.

All fine here, a very very wriggly baby with legs in the air (guesses of the sex very welcome!) so it took absolutely ages to get a pic.

Due 18th Nov, so a couple of days later than I thought 🙂

@Coopsy92 (sorry not sure if that’s tagged you properly) Thank you! I got so many pictures from the scan where everything looks different, but I feel like there’s a girly shaped skull there too! I haven’t told my parents yet! I really want to tell them in person too as it’s my first, a total surprise and I know they’ll be so delighted. Atleast it’s even easier to hide away during the first three months I guess. How are you feeling sickness wise this week? Mine seems to have come back with a vengeance this week.
@Amytitch thank you, congratulations to you too! Smile

Coopsy92 · 11/05/2020 19:57

@Hlb278 i've been lucky with sickness throughout to be honest, only felt slightly off food occasionally but i've got off pretty lightly so i'm lucky! I have had some other symptoms come back though, headaches and spots! Ah I know, isn't it so exciting to think about telling people! I can't wait!

HarrietM87 · 11/05/2020 20:22

If anyone wants to test their theories/compare, I know I’m having a girl (from the harmony test). This is my scan at 13+4.

Pizzamyhart · 11/05/2020 21:49

Had my scan today, was all good. Baby really didn't want it's picture taken soy scan doesn't even look like a baby. They kept looking at us face on (which looked terrifying) so they couldn't measure the neck. Not helped by me being overweight and my tilted uterus hasn't come all the way up yet so baby was nestled further back. I'm hopeful my next scan will look more like a baby.

Wise0wl · 11/05/2020 21:54

@Pizzamyhart totally get what you mean, mine was in entirely the wrong position today and it took ages to get a pic. Main thing is that your scan looked good even if they couldn’t get the measurement or a pic this time! Congratulations 🙂

Hancock2020 · 11/05/2020 21:56

Congratulations to all the happy scanners today 🥳
Hopefully I'll be joining you tomorrow, heres hoping I can get any sleep tonight!
Scans at 4 so it'll be a long day as well.

Wise0wl · 11/05/2020 22:08

Good luck tomorrow @Hancock2020!

IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley · 12/05/2020 00:37

Sorry it's so late. Been up getting sorted for DD birthday tomorrow. 😃

I managed to get hold of someone at the hospital. They did some digging and I now have a scan ate of the 21st and a consultant appointment straight afterwards.

Feels like a looong wait!

excitednerves · 12/05/2020 01:27

Congratulations to everyone who had scans today and saw bouncing babies. It’s lovely to see the pics while I wait for mine next week.

@Happythecrocodile I’m so so sorry you had bad news. I hope you have some support around you. Take care of yourself. X

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley I also have my scan next week (18th) and consultant on the 22nd. The wait has felt sooooooo long! I’ll be wishing this week away. I keep almost blurting it out to people because I’ve kept my pregnancy secret for so long that I’ve kind of forgotten other people don’t know. Roll on next Monday so I can finally share the news.

wannabebump · 12/05/2020 04:02

@IAmSeriousAndDontCallMeShirley glad you've got a scan and consultant appointment through - they'll be here before you know it x

Addler · 12/05/2020 08:13

I can't wait for the end of next week and all of us to have had our scans

BuffaloCauliflower · 12/05/2020 09:29

Good luck to today’s scan people!

Today I must write an essay. I slept basically the whole day yesterday and now it must be done. I have no choice, which is quite compelling 😩

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 12/05/2020 09:57

You can do it @BuffaloCauliflower !

What is your essay on/for? (You don’t have to answer if it would be too outing!)

TangBloodyFastic · 12/05/2020 09:58

@Addler I know me too! I feel like I am way behind! 😬

Jealous of all these amazing scans! Good luck today to the ladies having theirs

@Happythecrocodile so sorry to read your update, hope you have plenty of support from family & friends. Take care xx

BuffaloCauliflower · 12/05/2020 10:01

@Wise0wl it’s for a masters in HR Management. This module is just cursed for me! I had to cut it short last year due to personal issues, restarted this Jan and then had 3 months of more serious family issues, then I’ve been pregnancy exhausted since then. I really don’t think it’s meant to be done 😂 I’ve already had an extension and now it’s due Thursday. I’ve probably done about half the reading I should have, at this stage I just need words! I am a seasoned essay bullshitter but this module just seems to be my nemesis!

Are you studying as well?

OP posts:
Addler · 12/05/2020 10:05

Had my booking in appointment today, and for various reasons my midwife suggested it might be best if I have an ELCS. I was shocked, from everything I've seen and been told by friends they're normally really anti ELCS and push vaginal births. Not sure what to think now.
