Ha @professorastrocat that is depressing!

I had one from Glow recently that said ‘now you’ve hit the second trimester take advantage of your extra energy by going out for dinner’. So so depressing!

Piglet11 · 29/05/2020 13:25

Aww how lovely! Congratulations! X

professorastrocat · 29/05/2020 13:55

BooMamaBear · 29/05/2020 17:54

Congrats on your boy @DPSawMyUsername and cute bump!
Had a lovely picnic in the park with a pear cider alcohol free of course! Hopefully little one will be tired after all the running around and riding on her bike!! Xx

whatsthecraic91 · 29/05/2020 20:10

@DPSawMyUsername congratulations that's lovely 💙x

So DH - who is not one for spending money without a good reason and didn't see much point in me having an private early scan - as "it's not that long just to wait until 12wks" Has just out of nowhere said that I should book an wellbeing/gender scan as and I quote again- "20wks is so long to wait- it's 3 weeks away still they will be able to tell by now won't they?!" I'm only half listening but was saying yeah maybe it would be worth doing if you could actual come with me but I'd have to go on my own still BUT he's only gone a booked an appointment for me tomorrow morning! So that's somewhat unexpected!! Any predictions?

Oh what a lovely thing for your DH to do @Talcott2007. I think you’re having a girl, but I failed at my last guess!

BooMamaBear · 29/05/2020 21:05

No reasons but I think you're having a girl -what does your bump look like? Good luck for tomorrow!! Do you have a preference? Xx

professorastrocat · 29/05/2020 21:45

What a nice surprise for you! 😊 @Talcott2007

OP posts:
Talcott2007 · 29/05/2020 21:50

No preference for any of us actually - even DD says she doesn't mind if she gets a brother or sister! I don't have any inkling either way at all so it will be a big surprise whatever it is! Bump seems bigger and sitting up higher this time around but not sure if that means anything! According to the obviously very scientific Chinese Gender predictor I just did it will be a boy!

Wise0wl · 29/05/2020 23:02

Congratulations @DPSawMyUsername! It’s so nice seeing all the scan pics. You’ll have to update us tomorrow @Talcott2007 - such a nice surprise!

BooMamaBear · 30/05/2020 10:55

Let us know how you get on @Talcott2007 -the Chinese gender ire fiction said it's having a boy too but she's a girl!
Coz I was 2 stone heavier just over a year ago I actually bought some maternity shorts coz they were comfier -so glad I did!
Coz DD was a winter baby and my first so I didn't show til later I don't have many maternity clothes for this weather!! I bought a stripy dress and have a dressy up dress I wore at Christmas with DD so although these shorts are getting a bit tight round my my bump they're great for now! Xx

Talcott2007 · 30/05/2020 11:46

It's a girl!! Very clear no mistaking it as even I could tell by looking at the 3 little lines before the sonographer actually said. Best part was they allowed DH and DD (I guess i should start saying should be DD1 now! Grin) to come in just for 5mins so they could see and announce it to us both at the same time.

Everything looked perfect except for one thing so really trying not to freak out tbh. But the sonographer wasn't happy with one particular view of the heart called 3VV - he said it could just be that angle he could see but he did spend a lot of time trying to get DD2 to move into a better position but that pulmonary artery doesn't looks quite a big/defined as he would expect so he is making me a referral asap and wants me to have a scan with a specialist cardiologist before my scheduled 20w scan.... I'm resisting the urge to google but it's a bit of a shock that there could be something wrong.

professorastrocat · 30/05/2020 12:20

Congratulations @Talcott2007 ! ❤️

Sorry to hear of the concern, hopefully it will be just that he couldn't get the right look at it. It's always good they are referring on but fingers crossed it will be for a reassurance that everything is fine. Do you know when the appointment is?

OP posts:
Wise0wl · 30/05/2020 12:41

Congratulations @Talcott2007! Agree with @professorastrocat - hopefully just a viewpoint issue and it’s good they’ve taken action and referred on to check.

Talcott2007 · 30/05/2020 12:44

He said he would make the referral today but that it being the weekend it would probably not be picked up until Monday but that it will probably arranged quite quickly

BooMamaBear · 30/05/2020 12:50

Congratulations @Talcott2007 and sorry to hear about the heart bit hopefully it's just the angle!
When my sister was pregnant with my nephew they told her that his arteries to the heart weren't wide enough, I can't remember the name of the condition but they sent her to a specialist hospital who confirmed the same and said he might need open heart surgery once he was born but they wouldn't know til he was born! However when he was born the cardiologist checked him and couldn't find anything wrong at all - he's fine they said it must have repaired itself while in utero! Xx

BooMamaBear · 30/05/2020 23:15

She's proper kicking hard tonight I can see it!! Xx

Hatepickinganame · 31/05/2020 06:04

@DPSawMyUsername ah congrats on having a boy, glad the scan went well, ill wait patiently for my 10p mix 😂

@Talcott2007 congrats to you too, and like the others said hopefully the heart thing will be ok at the next scan 😊

Three more sleeps til my scan. Which my oh hasnt been given the day off for 😳 i know he cant come in but we both want him to be there anyway...

professorastrocat · 31/05/2020 08:11

@BooMamaBear I'm feeling lots of kicks and punches now, when lying down mostly - phew! Started over the last week.

@Hatepickinganame exciting! Though sorry you're oh can't have the day off...😟

So that's two scans on Wednesday and mine on Thursday this week - anyone else have anything?

OP posts:
BooMamaBear · 31/05/2020 10:17

I'm mine next one is 5 weeks away!!
