Hi, hoping to join the chat. It’s my first pregnancy. My gp said my due date was December 18th but the midwife when I phoned to book initial appointment and first scan said the 20th so 🤷🏼‍♀️ To be honest it’s not really sunk in yet and feels a bit surreal. I’m finding it hard to believe it’s real. It happened very quickly, I only came off the pill in January! No major symptoms yet, I’m pretty tired and have had the odd dull cramp and my boobs are a bit sore at night. Haven’t really had any nausea yet apart from when I had a caramel egg and a wispa gold, so now avoiding caramel 😂

I think I'm getting some of my boob soreness back 🤷‍♀️ don't really know what is happening. Pregnancy is so unpredictable!

The more we've held off telling people, the more cautious I feel about telling people. It's weird? Has anyone had the same thoughts?

Though I have been looking online yesterday to see if there was any nice ideas and ways to do it (my parents live abroad and the in laws 3 hours away). I was hoping to do it in person but with lockdown and CV, in person may give it away if the earliest time we get to see them is when I'd have a bump already 😂

I am feeling nauseous as I have been every morning, debating having a cuppa!

I'm starting to wonder why I don't have any boob soreness I think I'd feel better if I did! Perhaps that is yet to come for me if you are further along.

I had a weird dream last night, there was a friend of a friends baby in it infact I don't actually know the friend or baby in real life anyway the baby was a girl around 6months old and someone asked me to hold her , I asked what her name was twice it began with a C and then it was like I was going to drop her and screamed take her I'm pregnant! It was so weird!!

Haha I think a hello cuddle and a "bump bump " would be sweet! X

I had a very vivid dream last night too. It involved cows...

Woke up almost feeling hungover - really dry mouth, funny taste, slight headache. Not sure if I’m just dehydrated or if it’s a symptom.

Had a really nice pub quiz with uni friends on zoom last night. I’ve figured out I can just about manage to drink tonic on its own which will throw my parents off the scent too! In two minds whether to tell my mum today or not... I’d prefer to leave it another week or two, ideally until after an early scan, but there’s the risk of my dad cooking steak hanging over us and I just don’t know how I’d explain that I’ve suddenly gone from liking it rare to well done. My mum at least could help in some distraction or pretend she couldn’t find steak in the shop or something...

I feel a bit off today.. I've still got the achey cramps in what feels like my ovary, I've had the pain before.. last year when I wasn't pregnant so I don't know if it's a cyst?? It's not pain it's just like aching?
Can't ring the doctor and I am reluctant to ask my midwife as I know she's off work for another week?? I don't want to sound dramatic!
But also this morning, I had a tiny (and I mean tiny) amount of pinkish discharge when I wiped. Jordan and I did have sex last night though so I don't know if that's the cause??? Ugh.. I just feel really weird!! Sorry girls , TMI for a Saturday morning I know .. but it's so hard isn't it to not google.. so just thought I'd see what you all say 🙈🙈 xx

@djmbaker morning, sorry to hear you aren't feeling quite yourself. It is possible it's a cyst (corpus luteum) and sex may have aggravated you also causing cervical irritation which may have lead to the pinkish discharge.

I also had sex two nights ago which made me feel achy it's put me off at the moment!

However just for some peace of mind I'd call your midwife or early pregnancy unit to see if you can have an early scan to rule anything out x

@djmbaker if you're worried I'd give them a call for advice. I think we probably stress ourselves out so much.
It was probably the sex I would try not to worry too much but can completely understand as I would too.
Can't wait to get out of the first trimester Woods.

He is hilarious. He's become Americanised since lockdown from watching so many films and Ryan on YouTube.

Has anyone got nice lockdown plans for the weekend? Miserable here but I will try and get out for a walk to the beach x

@djmbaker I would say the pink discharge is a result of having sex, but I’m no expert

Morning everyone - so the first time in I think 26 years I've slept in 😂 well for me 9.30 is a massive sleep in.

So far I don't feel sick, I'm not up yet but still hopeful it's a good sign.

@djmbaker I'm sure it's just sex I read it can cause a bit and if it's been a while since it will just be that try not to worry but ring Dr Monday just so check? I was reading up about it last night I know that sounds stupid but dp was worrying it would hurt baby 😂😂😂 xx

Morning everyone well today I have one seriously tender right nipple and then shooting pains in my left boob 😩🤪 so random.

Had a horrible day yesterday never moved really had a small walk in the pouring rain last night just to get the dog out. It's a nicer today so long walk before going to get our grandparents click and collect! I'm dying to tell them but waiting til after a scan.

@djmbaker fingers crossed its just sex related but doesn't harm to get anything else ruled out.

Anyone else still abstaining? I'm really scared to have sex 🙄 we haven't done it since getting bfp over 2 weeks ago. And we were doing it every other day when we were trying

@Rnic1x I also slept in until half 8! First time since getting bfp!

Although I did wake up 5 times in the night to pee..

@katbaby yes I woke up once for wee 😂😂 last night was the 2nd time we've had sex since finding out too, I dunno why cause it was just like normal but dp thinks he will damage me 🙈 god what we gunna be like when we're actually massive it will be a no go 😂

Morning ladies, just woken up... sleeping pattern is still all over. Slept 2-10... think I was up once for a wee.

Feel rough this morning, lower back pain in centre of back and nausea... think I'm hungry.

Had some letters arrive for my appointments first one over the phone then scan at hospital June 12th. Also so rather anxious leaflets on screening and questionnaires about booze and feelings.

How are people taking wee with them with no sample pots?

@Katbaby we've not had sex either since finding out 2 weeks ago! Not because I think it would hurt the baby but I've just been too tired in the evenings! I guess after having 3 months with a lot of sex think my DH enjoys the break now when we're pregnant!

No sex here, I think I would actually be sick I feel that nauseous 🤢

So this has put my mind at rest for a bit, this will be the last I take 🙈 dp will kill me otherwise 😂 scan Tuesday so hopefully put my mind even more at ease x

Is it normal for urine to smell like sugar? I've noticed it the past two days now and not sure if it's just my heightened sense of smell?

Hi, glad I found thread 2! I wondered what had happened to everyone!

I just had my call yesterday with the midwifes reception. They said they will call me next week to get booked in and then arrange a short in person appointment for bloods and drop off a urine sample. All feels more real now, keeping fingers crossed that everything will progress as normal.

How many mums to be do we think are on this thread? I struggle to keep up with it sometimes! Is anyone else in Scotland? Are we all UK based?

@Rnic1x I'm so much better today I've been out on a 7 mile walk with hubby and dog this morning then we need to go get my grans click and collect after some lunch so keeping a lot busier today. Dreading Monday when hubby is back at work though 🙃🙃

@SwedishAnna yes I've been a lot more tired too. I think hub (and me) was enjoying the break but now is getting a bit blue balls 🤪 might have to bite the bullet but actually scared haha.
