Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

Can anyone please help??

Im 11DPO today and yesterday i got a faint line on a FRER. Pic attached. i dont havr anymore FRERs but i used a chesp 10mli hcg sensitive trip today and it showed no line at all. (Supposedly 4 days before a period - which is due on Sunday)

Is this normal!??! Is it likely the FRER is wrong!?

The faint line showed on this FRER yesterday morning within 2 minutes. Xx

@Trying2b - I had a miscarriage last month at 6.5 weeks. I understand your anxiety. I think at 4 weeks its hard to "symptom" spot in a way that is meaningful and if the test has gone up in weeks that is good news! Finger firmly crossed for you.

@MrsBlue1986 - did you use FMU for the cheapie test. I think that makes a big difference when you're testing before your period. It might just be your "sample" was too dilute!

@whatsthecraic91 I rang my GP surgery on Monday and they took a few contacts details and said a midwife would contact me in the next 2 weeks to sort a booking appointment.

@Katie1109 keeping everything crossed for you.

@00Bubbles00 Congrats! It's definitely going so slowly. I'm throwing myself into working from home to try and make the time go faster but it's hard!

@MrsBlue1986 it looks positive to me. I have heard FRER are really sensitive so are accurate. It might be the other test has a lower sensitivity than the FRER.

@00Bubbles00 yesterday i used first response, which i believe can detect 6.5 mli of HCG. Today i used a cheap one that can detect 10 of HCG. Ive done it 3 times today with the cheap one but stil negative.

Is it possible that line yesterday was wrong? I have all sorts of symptoms otherwise...nausea, tired, creamy cm, headaches and sore bbs. Hope its not wrong xx

@Cat028 I just took it upon myself to self refer there and they have called me already! I've to go to my local hospital for all my care and they will send me a date for my 12 week scan & booking app. Then I will go to the hospital in the city for the birth. It's just a bit annoying that I don't see anyone now for a least 8 weeks! I thought they would have seen me about the 8 week mark?

@MrsBlue1986 - testing is so confusing isn't it. From what you've said, it sounds like your HCG levels just haven't got high enough for the 10mli yet. Hopefully tomorrow the line appears again. Much as love the FRER super early testing ability, it does give us so much more time to torture ourselves.

@MrsBlue1986 - I wouldn’t stress too much, FRERs tend to be good and you have had a new tests that have said positive. When is your missed period? Can you wait until then to test again?

@whatsthecraic91 I do know what you mean. I self referred online - I’ve had my scan letter through today and I’ve had an email for my booking in appointment date! It may be sooner, they said my booking appointment can be anywhere up to 12 weeks on the phone - but the date I have is for 8 weeks 😊

@Milkshake54 oh are these 2 separate appointments? I took it as it would be booking and scan on the same day

Report
Milkshake54 · 29/04/2020 15:20

@whatsthecraic91 yeah, the booking in is with the midwife and the scan will be a sonographer 😊.
What I found fascinating last time, was at my first appointment they expected me to know where I wanted to give birth!!!

@whatsthecraic91 that's good they got back to you so quickly. I'm hoping my booking app will be dated at around 8 weeks. I would have liked a scan tbh but I can't see that being offered especially at the moment.

@Milkshake54 oh I'm really confused now she didn't say anything about that. I'll maybe ring my GP on my way home from work and see what they say 😥

Cat028 · 29/04/2020 15:25

@Milkshake54 omg really?? I have no idea about any of that! I haven't even looked it up.

@Cat028 would you get a private one? We are going for one when I'm about 8 weeks

@whatsthecraic91 I wasn't sure if private scans would still be available in the current situation. Have you booked one?

@Popcat120 so lush to confirm with a CB.

Milkshake54 · 29/04/2020 15:35

@popcat120 - I have just ordered a pack on two from boots... I’m hoping I can do some that will say 2-3 and then one that says 3+!! Depends how quickly they arrive!

@cat028 @whatsthecraic91 that’s what they do in my area anyway, the previously time I was PG, the gps were still open!! Our midwives were there once a week. So I saw the midwife twice in two weeks as I went away to figure out which hosp. Sadly, I didn’t make it to my 8week booking in app.
It was easier then though! Because I could ask the midwife all my Q’s straight away!!
What I would say is don’t be afraid to call them if you need to ask any Q’s!

whatsthecraic91 · 29/04/2020 15:48

@Cat028 yes there is a place in the next town that is still doing them and you're allowed your partner so I'm going to wait another week and then book one for when I am 8 weeks!

@Popcat120 oh lovely you've just reminded me I actually have a digital hid away somewhere!! Has it settled you a bit?

@Milkshake54 I feel silly ringing up to ask stupid questions 🤣 I'll ring up next week to see the craic if I haven't heard anything

I am going to my mums here after work to drop off my sisters birthday card (social distancing obviously 😇) I really want to tell my mum 😅

Hi may I join? I got my BFP this morning. Currently 3.5years into TTC. Had one previous BFP in March 2018 but sadly miscarried at 5.5weeks. I had a laparoscopy in January and have my next appointment with the clinic in June. My edd is either the 2nd or 8th January tried a few different calculators and got those two dates. I havent told my OH yet as I am so scared I will lose this one too and I dont want to get his hopes up.

@whatsthecraic91 if you want to tell your mum tell her!! We’ve told our parents and I’ve told one friend. If things don’t unfortunately work out, I’m going to want the people closest to me for support and they’ll want to support you!

@ilovetrees30 - welcome and congratulations! I know how you feel and it’s a scary time for all. There’s a thread about which is around people who are pregnant after miscarriage, I’m finding that quite helpful!
I know you don’t want to get OH’s hopes up - but I’m sure he would want to know so he can support you through this?
