Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

@FirstTimeMumAt31 if you're sick maybe tell her early BUT cover your own back and do it in writing with a copy for you maybe even signatures. You're unbelievable covered in pregnancy and employers and scared of this fact. If she says anything bad tell her she needs to look the law up of pregnant employees that'll scare her!

Ivoryjane · 13/05/2020 13:23

Thanks so much @Baba11, @FirstTimeMumAt31 and @MissHoney85. Really trying to stay positive and not worry too much cos that's not going to help matters. I'm so tired today from all the worry and tears yday. Still trying to wfh but my head is not in it today.
@CoalCraft I feel for you I really do and it's so unfortunate you have such a long wait. Hoping for a good outcome for you- FX
xx

JessWren · 13/05/2020 13:39

Hi ladies, hope you dont mind me joining as well. Congratulations to everyone!
I got my bfp yesterday at 12dpo (had a faint line with a cheapie the day before). Due around 22nd January.
This really doesn't quite feel real yet. I'm waiting to get past my predicted period date tomorrow then I might feel a bit more relaxed!

Elmlee · 13/05/2020 13:52

Hey Ladies, think I posted earlier in thread, the day after I got my BFP April 30th.

Currently 6+5. Slightly less than I thought.
Just wanted to let you know I went for my early scan yesterday. I'd highly recommend! Have me a new estimated DD of Jan 1st 2021! Instead of Christmas Day!

Here's the bean 🥰

Baba11 · 13/05/2020 14:00

@Elmlee how beautiful
Did u hear the heart beat? Must help to put your mind at ease seeing the little bean! Xx

Elmlee · 13/05/2020 14:08

@Baba11 awww thanks 🥰

It was fairly reassuring, I'm feeling fairly ill today. I can't bend down or go in the kitchen without feeling sick. The fridge makes me feel rotten!

Didn't hear a heat beat but saw it flickering and a graph of the beats 🥰❤️ just praying and hoping I make it to my hospital scan on June 12th.. it is a constant worry! I'll be 11 weeks then!

How far along are you? Is it your first baby? When are you due? Xx

Carabu1 · 13/05/2020 14:11

@Ivoryjane I know its impossible, but try not to think the worst! I had a total meltdown at the weekend over something similar and it was all fine in the end. Also once you have been scanned, if it's all good you will feel SO much better - so one way of thinking it is a way of getting the confirmation you wouldn't otherwise get for a while yet, and certainly wouldn't get on NHS until about 12 weeks...!

Carabu1 · 13/05/2020 14:11

@elmlee that's lovely! I'm due New Years eve, so maybe it will be touch and go whether we are 2020 or 2021 babies!

Ivoryjane · 13/05/2020 14:17

Thanks @Carabu1- that's a great way to think of it it once all goes ok.
I'm actually in Ireland so its 12 weeks here aswell before I would get my 12 week scan. So FX its all ok. Glad to hear yours was all ok too xx

Baba11 · 13/05/2020 14:26

@Elmlee that's great that you saw the heart flickering away.
Just think positive, you will make it to 11 weeks and beyond!!

I'm 5+3 weeks today and this is my third. But had a no last year so am very scared.. but trying to listen to my own advice and staying positive.

Pinkpaintlover · 13/05/2020 15:09

Hi I also posted earlier on. 5+6 today. I was wondering if anyone else is using or has used progesterone cream in a pregnancy?

After 2 chemicals in Jan & Feb I tried the cream after ovulation in March and April and it’s worked. Now I’m a bit worried about carrying on and also stopping and the EPU won’t prescribe the pessaries.
Thanks

Wheezeymcleazy · 14/05/2020 05:50

Hi everyone 👋
Hope it's ok to join in. I'm roughly 4+2 today. I've contacted mw department and I've just to wait on a call at some point but not sure when lol. I've been told my booking appt will be over the phone instead of in person and I've booked a private scan for 8 weeks as I'm always nervous at these early stages. Hope everyone is keeping well x

Flatwhite32 · 14/05/2020 07:42

Morning @Wheezeymcleazy! Congratulations! My booking appt will also be over the phone. I keep meaning to book a private scan, but I'm going to see if I get to six weeks first!

Wheezeymcleazy · 14/05/2020 07:57

@Flatwhite32 thank you 😊 congratulations to you also 😊 I just feel like it's not real yet so wanted to do something a bit definite by booking it lol. Sounds daft 🙈 anyway the scanning place only opens on select days and I can imagine it being full if I leave it too long to book. It also gives me something to look forward to during all this 😊 How many weeks are you just now ?

CoalCraft · 14/05/2020 08:52

Bit of a bloody nose this morning, not unusual for me but makes me chuckle; as soon as the bleeding from down there stops I start bleeding from somewhere else!

Feeling mostly okay, bit gosh my nipples were sore this morning. It's actually starting to bother me a bit!

Anyway, another day gone on the countdown to Tuesday, when I'll be seen to figure out what all the blood was about. Am so, so hoping to see a baby. Got to stay optimistic.

Flatwhite32 · 14/05/2020 08:58

@Wheezeymcleazy I'm approx 4+4, so not far ahead of you! I had a bleed at 6 weeks with DD which, after a previous mmc, was so anxiety provoking! I'm just hoping I get to 6 weeks without any drama!

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 14/05/2020 10:06

@Elmlee your the same due date as me and it makes me so excited to see your scan! Congratulations!! Did you have to go into the scan alone? We are going to book one for when I'm 8 weeks xx

Positivetime · 14/05/2020 11:01

Hi guys. Can anyone advise if this is normal?
I’ve been having right sided ovary pain since yesterday. I was 4 weeks yesterday. It’s not as bad as yesterday now but everytime I get up from sitting down I can feel the pain

Elmlee · 14/05/2020 11:55

@FirstTimeMumAt31 awwww DD Buddies! 🥰
It was a lovely scan I used window to the womb. The women were so lovely.
My husband even got to come 🥰 they took quite a few photographs I think, but they print one out for you to take.

Feel free to inbox me if you want to keep in touch 😊will be nice to have a DD Buddy. We will either have a 2020 or 2021 baby I think lol !

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 14/05/2020 12:07

That's so good! I feel awful about the fact that my partner might not be able to see our baby with me. I know it's to keep us all safe but still makes me sad. The lady I spoke to about my scan said they are hoping to set up a tv in a seperate room for the partners to watch but can't see it being the same without him by my side.

I have no idea how to inbox as I'm so new to Mumsnet lol. But it sounds great to have someone on the same level as me!

Have you much sickness or anything? Xx

Hopingfor2021 · 14/05/2020 13:05

@FirstTimeMumAt31 it’s such a shame if your partner can’t come along. Where are you based? We are going to the Fetal medicine centre on Harvey street London and partners are allowed xx although not sure my husband will join as someone needs to look after our 3 year old.

Yes feeling very sick this pregnancy, and strangely today my tummy area is starting to itch? I’m not 5 weeks yet! Anyone had that this early? I remember this with my son but thought it had been much later ...

Congratulations to everyone again xx

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 14/05/2020 13:12

@Hopingfor2021 I'm based in Northern Ireland. As mad as it sounds I'm hoping some sort of miracle will have happened and things will have changed by next weekend so he can be by my side. I know he would be ok with not being there as long as everything is ok but i can't help feeling like he will miss out

I have sickness all day- which tbh isn't as bad since I got sea bands in the chemist but I still vomit every morning. Haven't experienced any itch atm. Just a bit of a sore back today and some cramping which I'm really hoping is down to being constipated this last few days Hmm

kim160790 · 14/05/2020 13:26

@Positivetime I would ring doctors to be seen. I'm having the same problem and off to the doctors at 4pm today to be seen x

Positivetime · 14/05/2020 14:03

@kim160790 what is your pain like? Mine feels like I’ve pulled a muscle but I haven’t done any major exercise apart from yoga which I was already doing before. I’ll try and get an appointment if I can

kim160790 · 14/05/2020 18:23

@Positivetime like a period type pain. I've had my bloods taken and have to have them taken again Saturday. Fingers crossed my levels go up as they should x
