Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

@Han2912 congrats
Sorry to hear about your loss in jan.
We are all anxious but trying to take each day as it comes. Although at the moment the days are coming very slowly...
glad we all have each other to share this journey with ...

HK92 · 13/05/2020 07:13

Hi ladies

Can I join? Got my BFP positive this morning. NHS calculator is saying my due date is 14th January! Xx

shelly10111 · 13/05/2020 08:19

Who's who aren't nauseous or tired count yourself really lucky 😂 I'm hating that part atm, I'm tired all afternoon and evening and feeling sick all day long, it's horrible :/ didn't have it all with my daughters, yuck! I'm 6 weeks today! My next midwife chat / apt is over phone in a week or so and still can't decide if I'm booking an early 8 week scan or not xx

Positivetime · 13/05/2020 08:19

Hi ladies can I join? I got my BFP at 10dpo and at 12dpo. I’m due 22nd Jan 2021. I haven’t missed my period date yet so anxiously want that to come and go!

Positivetime · 13/05/2020 08:23

Oh I guess the reason I’m so worried is because I feel like my symptoms are period like. I’ve constantly got lower stomach pains and boobs hurt non stop. But nothing else really. I called my GP yday who didn’t fill me with much confidence. She said just to watch wait and see and that I could get a late period cos it’s so early. Really upset me ever since. Any advice or is anyone feeling the same?

EllieJai44 · 13/05/2020 08:46

Morning ladies, hope you dont me joining also! Due date is around 22nd Jan, 12dpo today and feeling a bit deflated with my tests, got first positive two days ago and because of previous losses I'm worried its going same way 🤦‍♀️

January 2021 Babies!
Firsttimemumma1990 · 13/05/2020 08:47

@Positivetime I’ve been feeling like I’m going to come on my period the whole time. My body is so weird and I feel like I was on my period when it was meant to be happening. Then even after it would have normally stopped I keep getting the feeling like I might come on. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The period and pregnancy symptoms seems to be very similar!

Breeze81 · 13/05/2020 08:52

Hi ladies. I can't quite believe it but I'm pregnant on out first. We've been trying for 3 years and I had a miscarriage last August so we're over the moon. my due date is 7th of January. I'm 39 soon so really felt like I was running out of time. We'd also had some initial assessments with a local adoption agency but here I am.

sunlight81 · 13/05/2020 09:00

@Breeze81

I'm due 1st Jan and also 39 soon!!! Fingers crossed for u x

WoolyMammoth55 · 13/05/2020 09:03

Hi @Breeze81, welcome! I'm older too, will turn 40 in a couple of weeks so delighted to be preg :) If all goes well this'll be my 2nd and I'm feeling confident and positive - FWIW my mum always used to tell me no point worrying before you've got something to worry about, and I think it's good advice...

For all those worried about period-like symptoms that was me too this time for sure! Had sore boobs (like period) spots on my face (like period) stinking bad mood (like period) and cramps JUST like my period - but turned out to be crampy stomach gas and taking biokult probiotics has sorted me out!

Got my fingers crossed for us all for healthy happy pregnancies and healthy happy bubs in January

CoronaBaby · 13/05/2020 09:06

Hi @Positivetime I think we are on the May bus together! I have the same due date as you ☺️☺️ I have also been getting a dull ache in my tummy, I think it’s normal. Try not to stress too much, sometimes GPs can be very insensitive, when I told my Mum she said the same thing as the GP said to you. All we can do is rest and look after ourselves x
@EllieJai44 looks to me that your line is getting stronger!
@Breeze81 wow! What a turnaround! 🤭

Positivetime · 13/05/2020 09:14

@CoronaBaby yes we are! Good to see you on here too. Thanx I’ll definitely try to relax. Thank god for yoga and long walks! are you doing anything to help keep yourself relaxed?

shelly10111 · 13/05/2020 09:47

@Positivetime I think it's normal because your levels have to get high to totally get rid of those symptoms of period, I was cramping hard week 3 and four thibking I was going to lose it early but I'm now 6 weeks and it's all subsided, still getting lower back ache time to time but doctor said it's just normal with hormones causing irritation, also I didn't get a hint of sickness with my other two children so i guess it's luck xxx

LadieBirdie · 13/05/2020 10:01

Hi @Positivetime

Hope you are doing ok. I'm 6 weeks with my first and I too have had daily cramping since a few days before my period was due, slightly milder than my period but it's been there every day since (I have a shorter cycle of 24 days). I've been worried about it but did another test today and have a really dark line on the test. Also feeling thirsty, nauseous, big sore boobs and my appetite comes and goes. I've got my first midwife appointment in 2 weeks, so hoping to hear that the cramping is normal. Hang in there xx

Ivoryjane · 13/05/2020 10:20

Hi all
Have had a worrying couple of days. Starting spotting and slight bleeding yday morning so I rang my gp and she wanted me to go straight to epu. So got checked over by midwife and doctor but it's going to be Friday before they can offer me a scan. Small by of spotting this morning but not as much as yday. Still have pain in lower abdomen and lower back though Hmm I'm exhausted and really worried. Still feel nauseous and tired but no other symptoms at the minute. Going to be a long few days waiting until Friday morning. FX all will be ok and it's just one of those random spotting incidents in early pregnancy. Welcome to all the newbies and huge congratulations xx

Littlebump2018 · 13/05/2020 10:39

Morning everyone, I've just received my booking bloods appointment from the hospital, do we have to have those before I am given a scan appointment?

Thanks!

Baba11 · 13/05/2020 11:24

@Ivoryjane how stressful. Hope you are ok chick. It's a good sign that the bleeding is very light. Hopefullly it is just one of those things and come Friday you will be able to get a scan and see baba. Try to rest and trust that what ever is deserting to be will be.. stay strong and positive

MissHoney85 · 13/05/2020 12:03

@Ivoryjane everything crossed for you, hopefully the small amounts and continuing symptoms are good signs.

@EllieJai44 try not to worry too much, 12dpo is still really early and those lines are definitely getting stronger every day!

EllieJai44 · 13/05/2020 12:07

@CoronaBaby @MissHoney85 thank you! Its hard not to worry with previous losses, hope you are both doing well, what are your estimated due dates?

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 13/05/2020 12:21

Morning ladies. Back once again for advice- I swear yous are all gonna be sick of me lol. As I mentioned before I am furlough atm but if it gets busy in work my boss asks me to help out as it's just the two of us that work there. I would usually have no problem at all doing this but atm my nausea is so bad, been sick 3 times this morning already and worried about having to be sick in work as my boss doesn't know. She's always been very vocal about how me getting pregnant isn't in her plan Angry. The first night she met my partner nearly 5 years ago she also told him that and as you can tell it makes me apprehensive to tell her. I've a feeling I'm going to have to tell her sooner than I wanted to if this sickness doesn't bugger off! Have any of you had to inform your work yet?

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 13/05/2020 12:22

@Ivoryjane keeping everything crossed for you and sending positive vibes your way DaffodilDaffodilDaffodil

MissHoney85 · 13/05/2020 12:28

@EllieJai44 I know, I had a really brief, faint chemical pregnancy after IVF in January so have been really paranoid. This is the first morning I haven't tested in a week! I found it really hard to manage the anxiety at first but now seem to be developing a more zen, what-will-be-will-be approach which is making me feel much calmer. I'm due on the 15th Jan.

MissHoney85 · 13/05/2020 12:32

@FirstTimeMumAt31 your boss should not legally be asking you to work of you are on furlough. It's also highly legally dubious that she says things about you getting pregnant. Your boss is not your friend, even if you have a good relationship. If you are part of a union, ask their advice but it sounds like your boss is on some very dodgy ground HR-wise.

CoalCraft · 13/05/2020 12:35

Have had a slightly worrying few days with some very light but persistent bleeding. Am crossing everything that it's from my cervix (I have a history of spotting and suspect cervical ectropion but it's not confirmed) and not a sign of anything too sinister. I have an appointment at the EPU but not till Tuesday - soonest they could see me unfortunately. It's gonna feel like a long wait!

I still feel pregnant though (sore nipples, slightly constipated), and at the moment I'm feeling quietly optimistic.

Sending good vibes to all and congratulations to all the new joiners xx

greenette · 13/05/2020 12:52

You shouldn’t be working if you are furloughed. Don’t let her guilt trip you into thinking you need to tell her. I know it’s easier said than done. I’m rubbish with situations at work and talk it through in my head then just succumb to whatever they say. Now I’m pregnant I will be putting my health and the baby first and not letting myself get stressed.
