Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

Congratulations to all the newbies! I am now (not very) patiently waiting for my early 8 week scan next week - and still wishing I had some kind of symptoms (something, anything!). How is everyone else feeling?

Ivoryjane · 15/05/2020 14:18

Hi all, welcome to newbies.
I'm back with an update. So was in EPU this morning, they did an internal scan and there was our little baba. Could see the heartbeat on the screen. She said however that it looks small going by my 6w4d count so I am back in two weeks again for another scan to see how things have progressed. I have cells outside the cervix so may have been the reason for the bleeding. So FX rest and look after myself for two weeks and hopefully baba will grow a bit more and all will be ok. Last few days though I have felt more pregnant than I had been so was thankful for that. Exhausted and so nauseous!
Hope everyone is doing ok during these agonizing weeks to get to 12 weeks. xx

BabyG123 · 15/05/2020 16:42

This is honestly such a scary days. I don't know how people coped without scans way back when!!!

Felt so shattered but I'm back to work so could be why!!!

Hoping all is ok in there!!!

Adenike21 · 15/05/2020 17:27

Hi everyone
Glad to have found this thread as a few others have mentioned cramps which I’m getting intermittently. Previous miscarriage last year so we’re excited to be first time parents and praying all goes well this time Nhs due date is 10th Jan so I’m ~ 5w4d.

Milkshake54 · 15/05/2020 21:56

@Positivetime I was having aches as you described. I called my EPU and they booked me a scan just to be sure it was all in the right place.
It was a bubba little heart was beating ❤️. Aches were unexplained as no sign of what may have caused them! They put it down to my body stretching etc!

Zukiiii · 15/05/2020 22:49

So I have just found out that my first antenatal appointment will be at 11 weeks (a telephone appointment) and then my first face to face appointment will be for the scan at 12 weeks. 11 weeks before I even speak to the nurse?? Is this normal or maybe due to the pandemic? I am only just in week 5 so in have a long time to go before I even speak to a nurse Confused

Positivetime · 15/05/2020 23:10

@Milkshake54 ahh that’s lovely, how far along are you?

always934 · 15/05/2020 23:20

Hi all and congratulations! I'm relieved to see a lot of you have the same kind of symptoms as me! I'm currently around 12dpo. NHS calculator says I'm due around 21st January. I have had an intermittent pressure/cramping for the past 2 days. Not so much painful as achy. Relieved to hear this is normal!

I'm also looking to see if I can get an early private scan for reassurance. However looking at the website it seems like they only want to give a scan if you have had a previous pregnancy with issues. I'm just an anxious first time mum 😬 has anyone else in the same position booked a private scan?

Positivetime · 15/05/2020 23:24

@always934 I think window to womb do early pregnancy scans at 6 weeks regardless of any previous issues. I’m planning on booking in with them.
How are your cramps now? I think we have a similar due date! Mine is 22nd jan

Carabu1 · 16/05/2020 08:42

@Zukiiii - I’m 7.5 weeks I still haven’t heard anything from the nurse. I was also told 10-11 weeks. Agree this seems like an age, so am going for a private scan at 8 weeks!

Milkshake54 · 16/05/2020 08:46

@Zukiiii I think it pretty normal. They normally provide a number though in case there’s anything you need to ask?

Milkshake54 · 16/05/2020 08:48

@Positivetime I was 6+1 when they scanned and 6+5 today.
It’s probably worth giving your EPU a call just for some reassurance? They may even scan you early to check!
I don’t know if they scanned me as well because I had had a previous MMC

Pea29 · 16/05/2020 08:56

Hi ladies, I'm hoping I can join this thread. Got my BFP on Thursday and have re-tested this morning and again another BFP. NHS puts me due on 24th jan, my period is due tomorrow so fingers crossed all will go ok.
Wishing everyone a healthy 9 months. Xx

lamypye · 16/05/2020 09:02

Love reading all these posts, I'm due 16th Jan, so ages to go yet I'm 39 and terrified to tell anyone because I'm 'older' does that make sense, keep hearing negative things regarding age/pregnancy ... have bad cramping on one side mostly, hoping it's normal and just stretching. Congratulations to everyone 🙂

Ash2345f · 16/05/2020 09:05

@always934 hi I’m due 21st jan from the uk I’ve just booked a private scan with window to the womb for when 6 weeks and you can take a partner/friend I’m a first timer to so I couldn’t wait so nervous and excited all at the same time

CoalCraft · 16/05/2020 09:26

Well, today marks the start of week 7!

Just got to get through the weekend and Monday for my scan on Tuesday to see what's going on in there. Time seems to both rushing past and crawling along at the same time :/

Everything seems to be okay though; only the tiniest bits of spotting and no pain that I can ascribe to my reproductive bits. Nipples are still sore, boobs are growing and I'm increasingly constipated (sorry) so am feeling cautiously optimistic.

I still have no nausea whatsoever though really. Anyone else feeling fine in that department? Seems so daft to worry about NOT feeling sick loo

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 16/05/2020 09:38

@CoalCraft we must have a close DD. I started into week 7 yesterday! It's such an exciting time!

Congratulations to all the other new ladies on the thread. We are all in this together!
Xx

always934 · 16/05/2020 09:44

@Positivetime my cramps are ok. Like I said they are just kind of achy at times. No spotting or bleeding at all and my tests seem to be getting stronger each day so I'm definitely taking that as a positive sign. I'm just a natural worrier 🙈 its exciting to talk to other people due around the same time. I'm already dying to tell people even though it's so early. Going to hold off though.

@Ash2345f it was window to the womb I looked at too. But just looking at the corona updates on the website it said about only booking if there was genuine medical concern and that you can bring someone only if absolutely necessary. I'm in two minds about what to do. My husband works offshore and might be away next month. I dont want to end up going to the scan alone. I mentioned about going alone yesterday and he looked so disappointed.

Elmlee · 16/05/2020 10:59

Hey @coalcraft your a day behind me and @FirstTimeMumAt31. Nice to have another in the similar DD area :-)

This week is dragging, especially after going in to early scan thinking I was 7+4 and then leaving 6+4. 7+1 now :-)

Noticeably needing a wee more frequently, waking up with a really dry mouth. Was up 3 tiles in night for a wee!

Sickness comes and goes, worse in morning, around food and when I bend down. Also very tired even after hours of sleep!!

whatsthecraic91 · 16/05/2020 11:42

@CoalCraft hey! Week 7 for me too 😇 I actually feel the exact same as you but I have sickness, not actually being sick just feel like it 🤢 how much spotting have you had? I have had it on 3 separate occasions but literally the tiniest bit after I've had a wee. My mum says it's nothing to worry about especially if there's no pain! I have my scan next Sunday I'll be 8+1, I'm sure you can't wait to Tuesday!

Welcome and congratulations to all the newbies x

Elmlee · 16/05/2020 11:55

Nice to see your name around again @whatsthecraic91 😊😊
Sound like we are very close as it stands.

Xx
