Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

Hello all - and congratulations! I found out last week too, I reckon I'm about 4.5 weeks. It's my first, and follows a lengthy, stressful period of various treatments so I am just crossing my fingers and toes it works out OK...I feel completely normal too, which isn't helping my anxiety about it - I feel like I may have imagined it (if it wasn't for the fact I've done about 5 tests in less than a week, ha).

Hey all. I have just had a positive test today at 10DPO and was hoping for some advice??

I am panicking a little as I have in the last few days come down with coronavirus type symptoms. My husband had it last week for sure. im a teacher, so ive managed to get hold of the key worker tests. But im massively panicking thinking the virus can affect potentially pregnant women more!?!?

Is this possible at a very early stage????

Anyone have any clarification!?! Thsnks x

Is anyone else experiencing any shortness of breath or breathing difficulties? Or fever type symptoms???? Im supposedly due 10th Jan xxx

Likely You've got the virus, if your husband has had it and you've been in contact with him.

My understanding is that it doesn't affect pregnant women more, its just it may take you longer to get over it, as your immune system is lowered already due to pregnancy.

Really hope you're feeling better soon, don't be worried to seek help if your breathing or temp becomes worse.

I also know, fever in early pregnancy isn't a good thing, as it can affect the fetus. I think that's why they say to avoid saunas, and really hot baths too.
Make sure you take Paracetamol to keep your temp down!

I do notice that when I’m out for my daily walk I am getting breathless quicker and struggling to keep up at my usual pace.

I think get the test done ASAP and register with your community midwives (here’s its online) so you can get linked with them and get some professional advice

Shortness of breath, is because you need more oxygen for growing baby, and extra hormones.
My heart rate has been 120 the last few days!

Probably the last 2 walks! I’m still exercising by doing home workouts and I notice my effort level isnt anywhere near as much, but my heart rate is still high!

Do the NHS not provide a first scan? X

Popcat120 · 28/04/2020 16:18

@mrsblue1986, yes at 12 weeks, I'm impatient and like to Know everything is OK, then I feel better about telling my family the news before the 12 weeks.

Hi, ive just tested today and got BFP so so happy but with everything going on at the minute I can’t help but feel really nervous too! Could anyone tell me when would you suggest letting GP know and how do you organise an early private scan ? Congratulations to everyone!

Hi all,

I hope you don’t mind me joining. This is my first ever post. I’m 34, ttc for 5 rounds and on 15 dpo/first day after missed AF (see first image) I had a faint positive. Today’s test (second image) is just as faint. Do you think the line should be darker on today’s test?

I’m trying not to get overly excited and I have no idea if I’m being too eager testing this early.

Any thoughts welcome!

@Popcat120 ahh yes fair enough. Makes sense!

Its gonna be so hard knowing how long lockdown will go on for. I dont want to have to tell my folks over the phone or on a zoom call!! Jeez! X

Congratulations @Thack19.
Where I live it's a self Referal online form, I've done that today so I know I'm on the system, i think they may be busy in the next few months!!
You don't need a private scan, but if you want one you just find a private clinic and pay / arrange with them.

@Pip58 looks positive to me! Congratulations!!

I rang my GP surgery the day I did my CB date test and receptionist sent my details to the midwife. They said someone would be in touch in the next 2 weeks for a booking appointment.

Carabu1 · 28/04/2020 17:22

@Popcat120 It just feels so long to wait for a scan/reassurance doesn't it?! I think I'm going to pay for a private scan at 7 weeks if I make it that far, just to set my mind at ease (plus 2.5 weeks seems less of a huge wait than 2 whole months!)

@MrsBlue1986 I'm just the same - I had to google what to do next (a bit like when my carbon monoxide alarm went off last year and I just stood in the garden with no idea what to do next....!)

Report
Milkshake54 · 28/04/2020 17:34

I had a private scan in my last pregnancy, they identified the baby was smaller than dates suggested and then that spurred on further scans and a period of flux for the next 2weeks.... unfortunately it was a missed miscarriage - and I have decided I’m not going to an early scan this time
