Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

Hi girls could I tentatively join please? I recognise a few names @BabyG123 @Littlebump2018 @unluckyducky
I got my BFP yesterday at what I think was 8dpo. I used CB OPKs and got my peak smiley on the 30th so it could have been 9dpo.
I am 28 and have a DD who just turned 11 months, had a rough pregnancy last time but there are so many differences already I’m just hoping everything will be ok.
Congratulations to everyone! I don’t have Facebook so can’t join you on the group unfortunately

Littlebump2018 · 10/05/2020 20:38

Welcome @CoronaBaby 💗💗

LadieBirdie · 10/05/2020 20:39

@Carabu1 thank you, I think we might book in for an early scan at 8 weeks and all being well, will tell close family then 🤞

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 10/05/2020 22:32

Hi ladies! I would love to join you on this thread if that's ok! This is my first time posting here so bear with me if I get anything wrong

I got my coil removed in January as me and my partner decided after months of talking and being together 4 years to actually start TTC. After not having a cycle for 6/7 years I was surprised when it came back quite regular every 3 weeks.

After feeling quite ill last weekend I took a test on Sunday afternoon and got a positive. I then told my partner in absolute shock as I thought it would take a lot longer to conceive! We then rushed to buy a clear blue test which surprised me even more when it came back at 3+ weeks which by reading the instructions and counting back to my first day of last period meant I was 5weeks+2.

I spoke with my GP on Monday morning and he prescribed me Pregnacare and I already had my 5mg folic acid from when I got my coil out. He said he would refer me for my midwife appointment but by going my everything that my due date was 1/1/2020.

I've been suffering with nausea and vomiting since I found out and also sore breasts- my partner also reckons they have got bigger already haha

Anyone tried them sea band mamas?

Also wondering when to think about telling our parents and siblings. It's the first baby in both of our houses so the first grandchild, first time our brothers and sisters are going to be aunts and uncles and I'm just bursting to tell someone! I have told one of my friends and that's it, she lives far away so there is no chance of them finding out from her.

Sorry for the long post but I'm so glad I've found these forms to vent to someone lol

JadeRuby1988 · 10/05/2020 23:38

Congratulations ladies!! After two recurrent miscarriages last year I am 5+5 with my first child! Due date 5th January! Excited but an anxious time given past miscarriages! I always thought I'd have a baby in January.. weird I know haha. Will be great to join this thread and share my journey with others especially during this time of isolation!

Baba11 · 11/05/2020 00:16

Congrats all

Just a quick question ladies, does anyone know if we can take cod liver tablets. Iv been taking 1 everyday but read I shouldn't. Now I'm panicking! Help!?!?

MissHoney85 · 11/05/2020 05:51

I think I'm out 😔 according to my Garmin watch, my heart rate was slightly down yesterday (when it wasn't massively high from stress, which was most of the day thanks to constantly checking it). Now this morning my temperature has gone down from the 37.0s and 37.1s of the last few days to 36.95. Not a huge drop but together with the heart rate thing I can't help feeling it's not good. I never quite believed I would make it but don't know how I'm going to cope. These were some of the happiest days of my life. 😔

BabyG123 · 11/05/2020 08:26

Congratulations ladies!!!

@CoronaBaby I didn't realise you had a little one too mine has just turnt 1! Easy ride first time this time feeling super nauseous most of the day!

@FirstTimeMumAt31 wow what a surprise, I personally won't be telling anyone until I've seen a heart beat on a screen. Be it a early scan or the 12 week scans. Also with the nausea 🤢

@Baba11 no too much vitamin a. Also the same reason you should only eat white fish 1-2 times per week. Just stop now, don't worry.

@MissHoney85 I don't know any forms that you're looking at but maybe call the maternity unit and get a early scan expressing your worry? Don't count yourself as 'out' yet!

Flatwhite32 · 11/05/2020 08:28

@MissHoney85 Oh lovely it's so hard at this stage! I've been awake half the night worrying about miscarriage, and with every twinge I worry even more. What I did learn from my failed pregnancy is that unfortunately, apart from following obvious advice like no alcohol etc, there's literally nothing we can do. We just have to hope our little babies thrive in there, and try not to read too much into varying symptoms at this stage. It's unfortunately outwith our control. I think that's the hardest part of all! Could you take your watch off maybe? I haven't downloaded any apps etc as I find they make me too worried, like I'm tempting fate! I didn't download a single app in DD's pregnancy!

BabyG123 · 11/05/2020 08:34

@Flatwhite32 you sound like you'd make a good therapist! I completely agree with the paranoid tempting fate.

Even kept all Pregnancy tests from DS1 and turnt into a bit of a crazy woman. Private scans every few weeks as I was so worried. Bought a heart beat monitor later on too.

Really trying to find a way to be chilled and a normal human this time round. You sound handy to get me a good slap 🤣

MissHoney85 · 11/05/2020 08:36

@Flatwhite32 thank you, that's good advice. I have taken the watch off! It's so hard not to obsess over things and read into everything. I think it's especially hard in this current lockdown as there are so few distractions. I did another test this morning and it looks as strong as or slightly stronger than yesterday's, so maybe I'm not out just yet. It's so hard. I don't know how people do this.

Ourkates · 11/05/2020 09:32

Hi guys, so happy to find this group. I have a due date of 4th January. Still in disbelief I think, don’t think it will set in until the scan. Before the BFP I was cramping and even grumpier than usual I was convinced I was going to come on. The cramping and grumpiness have somewhat subsided now don’t feel pregnant at all! Does it ever feel real? This is my first by the way!
Anyway nice to meet you all, hope everyone is feeling OK in these strange times Smile

CoronaBaby · 11/05/2020 09:51

Tha is @Littlebump2018
@BabyG123 yes she has just turned 11 months, I’m still breastfeeding so didn’t think I would catch so soon but delighted I did!!
@Flatwhite32 great advice 👌🏼

Baba11 · 11/05/2020 09:57

@BabyG123 yep thrown them away. My midwife is calling tmrw so il b asking her about them.

@Ourkates congrats and yes it doesn't feel real yet.

@MissHoney85 try not to read too much into temp drop especially if your lines are still so strong. Like @Flatwhite32 said wat will be will be. Also u have to remember miscarriage occurs because the baby wasn't forming properly. You need to ensure I are eating and resting and the rest is out of your hands.

@Carabu1 good luck for today. Hope all is ok.

MissHoney85 · 11/05/2020 10:11

@Baba11 yep trying to stay relaxed today and put it out of my mind, and have faith in God that whatever happens is part of a plan. Easier said than done, but a little easier now that I have some work to do!

@Carabu1 good luck, everything crossed for you 🤞🙏

NannyGR · 11/05/2020 10:59

Would love to join you ladies if possible!!
Today on my sons 2nd birthday I got my BFP 🎉
I think I'm roughly 15dpo and have worked out a rough dd of 15th Jan! Exciting times, we had been trying around 18months, and to fall now was completely unexpected, it took us 6 years with my first, and we think this lil one was conceived on hubbys birthday! Keeping fingers crossed for a sticky bean.... typically I'm back to work next week so hoping the morning sickness doesnt hit as bad this time round 🤞 how is everyone else doing??

Carabu1 · 11/05/2020 11:39

Hi all. Congratulations to new joiners! Just thought I’d let you know I had my scan this morning, and it was all totally fine. 4mm, so about right for 6ish weeks and with a strong heartbeat. No obvious reason at all for my weird bleeding. SO relieved!!! Still no obvious symptoms but I feel so much better knowing it’s all there and going ok. Long may it continue!

@MissHoney85 - don’t panic! I was in such a state yesterday, and it has turned out ok. Could you call epu and see if they might scan you?

FirstTimeMumAt31 · 11/05/2020 11:43

@BabyG123 Yeh we are now considering an early scan because I honestly don't know if I can wait another 6 weeks for confirmation especially if my booking appointment is going to be over the phone.
Regarding the nausea- it was awful this morning so I made a trip to my local chemist and bought the sea band mamas and I have to say after 30 mins of having them on I'm feeling a lot better already! At the moment I would defo recommend!! I'm hoping they continue to work as I got quite upset this morning thinking that I was complaining too much about the sickness and that I wasn't acting like I was feeling cus I am delighted to be pregnant.

Congrats all the new ladies to the thread!
I'm so thankful I found this group for support xx

MissHoney85 · 11/05/2020 11:49

@Carabu1 that's brilliant news! Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

I don't think there's much point in me calling the EPU, from what I gather they're not interested unless you're more than 6 weeks / and or have a lot of pain or bleeding. I'm feeling a little calmer about things now. What will be will be!

BabyG123 · 11/05/2020 12:06

@CoronaBaby and to think breastfeeding was once used as a contraceptive 🤣

@Carabu1 do you have a pic of the scan? I'm really sad and love them!!! Although DS1 looked like a little turtle on our 8 week one haha!

@FirstTimeMumAt31 oooo might give them a go when I can send DH out. 🤞🏼

Baba11 · 11/05/2020 12:16

@Carabu1 that is fantastic news! You must feel soo better now you saw that little heartbeat. Can't imagine how nervous you must have been. How was the whole experience of going to the hospital? Did you have to go in alone?

Carabu1 · 11/05/2020 12:29

@BabyG123. No picture sadly - they don’t do them at my local epu. Not much to see really so early anyway...it all just looked like blobs to me! @Baba11 - Couldn’t take my husband in, it was pretty horrible doing it on my own. But there were lots of us smiling in nervous solidarity! I think I might book a private scan in a couple of weeks so he can come and see though - seeing the heartbeat was so exciting!!

Baba11 · 11/05/2020 12:33

@Carabu1 I'm just very happy you saw the heartbeat and you can rest assured your little baba is doing well.

I will be so petrified of going to the scan by myself

Jellybean252 · 11/05/2020 12:50

Hello ladies,

Hope you don't mind me joining.

Firstly congratulations to you all!!

I got my first BFP last Wednesday after trying since Sept 2019. According to my calculations I will be 4 weeks pregnant tomorrow.
I started taking pregnacare straight away however I have had an upset tummy everyday since. Has anyone else has this issue?

Lottiepxx · 11/05/2020 13:10

Hey everyone.
I just recently found out I was pregnant over the weekend. Apparently I'm 3 weeks and 6 days today. Me and my dh was trying for 8 months. I'm very nervous and anxious about it though, hoping everything will go ok. Trying to go a day at a time. Congratulations to you all. I'm due 19th January. Xx
