Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

@MissHoney85 congratulations! Don't
Panic about symptoms too much as I didn't have any with DS1!!!

I can't say the same this time 🤢 since 2dpo!!!

BabyG123 · 09/05/2020 13:51

@Popcat120 May sound weird but I won't be joining the fb page until I have a scan.
Don't want to jinx it 🤦🏻‍♀️

I have a Facebook group with DS1's lot we started once they were all born and it's very handy so I will make a appearance at some stage if ok 🤞🏼👶🏼

Hi! BFP on Thursday so we're BFP twins @Zukiiii!

It's my second pregnancy after a missed miscarriage a few months ago. I had no inkling that things weren't completely fine until the scan, so I will be keeping it to myself until I see a heartbeat.

Littlebump2018 · 09/05/2020 18:58

So according to my records I thought I was 3 +6 and I took and test and it says 2-3 which means I'm 4-5weeks does that mean I might have conceived earlier than I thought? My peak ovulation was on 25th. Slightly confused what it means

MissHoney85 · 09/05/2020 19:10

@Littlebump2018 if you ovulated on the 25th then that would put you at about 2 weeks 'properly' pregnant, which matches what the test says. How pregnant a doctor would say you are depends on the length of your cycle, but as you know when you ovula you can just add 2 weeks to your 'proper' pregnancy as the formula assumes a 28 day cycle.

MissHoney85 · 09/05/2020 19:11
  • ovulated not ovula!
BabyG123 · 09/05/2020 19:25

@Littlebump2018 what date was the first day of your last period?

Popcat120 · 09/05/2020 19:45

@littlebump2018
I got a 2-3 the day before my period, so would have been 3+6 too.
Got my BFP at 9dpo, I'm sure it's to do with hormones, some ladies just produce more earlier I'm sure!

Popcat120 · 09/05/2020 19:45

Or could have ovulated a few days earlier...

OP posts:
Littlebump2018 · 09/05/2020 20:28

Thanks everyone. Date of the first day of period was 13th then I got a static smiley on 25th.

MissHoney85 · 09/05/2020 20:56

I would say that the difference is just because your cycle was shorter than the 28 days presumed by the formula. There's not a big difference between 3 +6 and the 4 end of 4-5 anyway.

Littlebump2018 · 09/05/2020 21:20

Thanks @MissHoney85 my cycle is between 26/27 days :)

BabyG123 · 10/05/2020 07:09

I ovulated 16 days ago and clear blue digital only says 1-2 weeks which goes off of that. 😬 hope all is ok 😩

Pinkbubble1234 · 10/05/2020 08:43

Hi, I got a positive on friday and it was a strong positive, I've done a second test this morning and it's still a strong line but not as dark as the first test two days ago ? Does this mean my levels are falling ? I tested at 12 days late as I'm almost 40 and have two teenage children which I had IVF to conceive I also have endometriosis so pregnancy didn't even enter my head

Flatwhite32 · 10/05/2020 09:56

Is anyone here a teacher? I'm not sure what to do about school (which is open for key
worker kids. We are on a rota). Have googled but the advice is so wishy washy!

BabyG123 · 10/05/2020 09:59

@Flatwhite32 My sister in law is a doctor and could work up until the third trimester which was a couple of week ago if that helps

Flatwhite32 · 10/05/2020 10:01

That's really helpful @BabyG123, thank you! I actually really enjoy going in for a change of scenery!

Popcat120 · 10/05/2020 10:20

I'm sure I've heard of most teachers being put on wfh duties.
Think you'll have to tell your manager and get a risk assessment done.

I work in the hospital, and still working with patients, just avoiding the covid patients!

Happy to have found this group. I’m due 8th Jan. Second for me. Not had time to read the whole thread yet but will. Lovely to have a group going through this together.

Congrats to everyone

Baba11 · 10/05/2020 10:37

@BabyG123 I was the same with my cb test apparently u have to add 2 weeks on top so it shud read 3-4. I am going to test next week again

@Pinkbubble1234 try not to worry a lot of things can affect darkness inc the time of day and water intake. I would wait till your officially late then test

@Flatwhite32 snap me too. I haven't told head yet as I feel it's too early, and given my mc last time I'm scared. At the moment becoz we r on a rota I won't be seeing any children so won't b at risk. However if after today, it's announced that school goes bck then I will email my head.

Hello all - having a bit of a panic this morning and hoping for some reassurance/experiences from anyone who’s been through similar! I’m 6+3, woke up this morning to cramps and (sorry tmi following) then a painful bowel movement. When I wiped, brown discharge. Sore boobs are much better today too. Rang the epu in a panic, and because of my history I have an early scan there tomorrow...it just feels so far away! I’m over analysing every tiny twinge and going to loo to wipe every 10 minutes....! Has anyone experienced something similar was what was the outcome? Feel like I’m steeling myself for the worst!

@unluckyducky - thanks for this - so there is hope! It’s a clomid baby which I think increases the ectopic risk which is why they’re seeing me. I knew it was too much to ask for it all to go smoothly - my body just clearly doesn’t want to be pregnant!

I know all I can do is wait it out, but it feels pretty tortuous.
