Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

@BabyG123 Thanks, that's good to hear! I was confused after being told to ring back later as NHS advice was to get in touch straight away, but I guess it just means to make contact and figure out what the deal is in your area

@Fisher1008 I think it must depend where you are, from what I got from the receptionist when I do make the appointment it'll be with a midwife but at the GP surgery

@whatsthecraic91 Hey good to see you here! I remember you from TTC thread, now we're due date buddies ☺️ I'm not a big FB user but might stick my nose in xx

shelly10111 · 08/05/2020 20:17

@CoalCraft I was told to make an app for 7 weeks by my gp for bloods and check up etc Im in Devon england xx

Rocketcat287 · 08/05/2020 20:30

I phoned my GP the day I found out and they gave me an email address to contact, I received a really basic form to fill out which I sent back yesterday. Got a call today from the midwife team who booked me for a telephone appointment middle of June. The email did say to wait until I was 6 weeks (I’m 4) but I got excited and I hate stuff on my to-do list 😂

BabyG123 · 08/05/2020 22:20

Is anyone already sleeping in their left and avoiding foods we shouldn't have?

Littlebump2018 · 08/05/2020 22:34

@BabyG123 I actually can't remember what I'm not meant to eat apart from Pate. I remember that's all I was about that I couldn't eat lol.

I have started taking some pregnancy vitamins tonight but I had taken about 2 weeks of 5mg folic acid due to previous pregnancy issues (I think I should have taken it a lot sooner than this but I'm hoping everything will be ok)

Baba11 · 08/05/2020 23:19

@BabyG123 yes I have been makin smoothies for the morning and evening and have been avoiding raw fish, mayonnaise etc
I read that kale is really good early on so throw that into my smoothie too!

BabyG123 · 09/05/2020 06:57

@Baba11 mayonnaise is fine as long as it's not home made. Hellman's etc is made with pasteurised eggs 🙌🏽

Flatwhite32 · 09/05/2020 07:28

Mayonnaise is fine! I ate plenty of it in my pregnancy with DD. I'm just avoiding alcohol so far (obviously!) which was hard yesterday as I was really craving a Pimms in the sunshine!

BabyG123 · 09/05/2020 07:41

@Flatwhite32 This is going to sound disgusting but I promise you it's yummy!

Non alcoholic pimms- lived on it last time and during slimming world!

In a jug pour:

1 litre lemonade (I used diet lemonade)
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Add the usual mint, strawberries, orange.

One alcohol free pimms. Hmmm I might have some today too 🥰🤪

BabyG123 · 09/05/2020 07:43

It's the sleeping on my left I struggled with last time. Always wake up on my back or front 😩

Yellowhana · 09/05/2020 07:49

Hi can I join?

Got my BFP on Tuesday and due date looks to be 14 January 2021. First baby and no previous pregnancies so a bit anxious but v excited.

Flatwhite32 · 09/05/2020 08:10

Oh wow @BabyG123 I would never have thought about adding balsamic vinegar to a drink! How random! Thanks for sharing. Will definitely give it a go!

KimmyRox80 · 09/05/2020 08:56

Hi all! I'm due 6th January with my 2nd. My LG was 3 in February. It took 3.5 years to conceive her so we're over the moon this time 'only' took 9 months.

I'm feeling incredibly tired right now but have only had a couple of smells of very light nausea. Is there a Facebook group set up? I always find it easier to track conversations on there than here. I look forward to getting to know you!

KimmyRox80 · 09/05/2020 09:00

Spells not smells! 😄

Baba11 · 09/05/2020 10:02

Thanks @BabyG123 and @Flatwhite32
Atleast I know I can have the hellmans mayo

Congrats and welcome @KimmyRox80
There is a Facebook group but I'm not on Facebook so just have this lovely group..

Has anyone continued to take pregnancy tests to check if your lines are getting darker?

Baba11 · 09/05/2020 10:04

Congrats @Yellowhana
This is the start of an amazing 9 months especially as it's ur first. How exciting!

KimmyRox80 · 09/05/2020 10:12

Thanks @Baba11 and congrats to you too 😊

If you're concerned about mayo try veganaise. It honestly tastes just like regular mayo and is completely egg and dairy free.

Baba11 · 09/05/2020 11:03

I don't think I will be able to enjoy this pregnancy until 12 weeks has passed!

7 weeks to go for me! Xx

MissHoney85 · 09/05/2020 11:31

Hi everyone! Can I join the club? I've been TTC for a couple of years, including a failed round of IVF in January. It's been really tough. I got my BFP 4 days ago at 12dpo and it's still sinking in. I'm still testing every morning and obsessing over line progression! It's going to be such a long 8 months. I'm pretty convinced something is going to go wrong, but I'm trying to enjoy being pregnant as much as I can. I have never longed to feel sick so much! Currently my only symptoms are a bit of lower back soreness, slightly raised body temp and heart rate, and slightly less interest in food than normal, especially sweet stuff (that could just be anxiety though). I'm so excited but so terrified!

Baba11 · 09/05/2020 11:48

Congrats @MissHoney85
Did u get pregnant naturally or another round of ivf? It is a scary time but once we get through the first trimester we will be ok and we can enjoy it.

MissHoney85 · 09/05/2020 11:59

@Baba11 naturally! It's amazing, I can't actually believe it still. We both made some changes, and something obviously worked. Or we just got incredibly lucky!

MrsW2603 · 09/05/2020 12:10

Hi Ladies, may I join? I got my first positive today. Due 11th Jan with my first x

soulandsunshine · 09/05/2020 12:29

Hello! Joining this thread. Successful BFP on Sunday 3rd May. Due date 13th January. Experiencing cramps, sore boobs, painful nipples and a little bit of nausea. First time pregnant, so very excited of whats to come.

Baba11 · 09/05/2020 12:58

@MissHoney85 what a blessing

Congrats to us all. It's very exciting to hear everyone's different stories and hopefully we will making our own pregnancy story in the next 8 months Smile

Flatwhite32 · 09/05/2020 13:21

@MissHoney85 many many congratulations lovely. I'm obsessed with line progression too and I have a 21 month old DD!
