Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

I’m joining too, @BabyG123 we have the same EDD 🥰

I’m wondering when people are thinking about telling their parents/ family. We live in London my parents are up North and my MIL lives in the Qatar. I would really love to tell my parents face to face but the NW where they live is having a surge in coronavirus cases!

Congratulations to everyone on their BFP 🥳

burdog · 08/05/2020 10:14

I'm lurking. BFP on Saturday 2nd May. I had bright red spotting (no clots, or maybe one teensy one) on Wednesday morning-afternoon when I was exactly 5 weeks. Due date should be 7 January but I'm waiting to do a pregnancy test next Wednesday to see if it was a loss or not. I did one yesterday which was positive but who knows.

Baba11 · 08/05/2020 10:15

@Flatwhite32 sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my last one at 11 weeks, so it is very nerve racking.

Welcome and congrats to all the others especially if it's your first. It is nice we can share this journey.

Have any of you self referred at hospital yet? Xx

Baba11 · 08/05/2020 10:19

@burdog fingers crossed it's nothing to worry about
Think it's when bleeding is coupled with pains it could be worrying.y sister bled most of her pregnancy so it can be normal. Try and stay positive hunni xx

Flatwhite32 · 08/05/2020 10:20

Sorry to hear that @Baba11. I'm so so nervous again, even though I had a successful pregnancy with DD. I haven't self referred yet as I'm too nervous!

burdog · 08/05/2020 10:25

@Baba11 I had a bit of cramping, but I had been feeling crampy, bloated and achey in the week running up to it so it wasn't more than normal. Thanks, I'll try to stay positive and take my mind off it.

fafi · 08/05/2020 10:38

Hello! I got a BFP two days ago! My due date is currently 13 January 2021.

Baba11 · 08/05/2020 10:41

@Flatwhite32 it was strange because until I had my miscarriage I never realised how common it was. Everyone I spoke to had also miscarried before or after a healthy pregnancy. I self referred last week and got a call to say a midwife will call me next week. I think they just need to be aware of your history they can also offer you a early scan because of the previous mc.

How are we all feeling? I'm tired but also have excessive gas, it's disgusting. Hope you are all taking prenatals?

Bexi87 · 08/05/2020 10:45

@Cat158 and @Flatwhite32 same date as me too Smile

BabyG123 · 08/05/2020 10:51

@Fisher1008 I'm a worrier so won't be telling anyone until I have a scan and know everything is ok.

I'd also want to tell face to face. I keep having dreams how we are going to tell everyone. Love a reveal 🤣

BabyG123 · 08/05/2020 11:18

I did the due date calculator as I have long cycles which made me at 4 weeks due 14th January.

Called for the booking in appointment and she said it doesn't matter the length of your cycle due date 5th January 🤪 just lost 9 days in one phone call lol!

greeny506 · 08/05/2020 13:01

@BabyG123 hi! I just read your post - got my BFP yesterday. Last few cycles have been around 40 days after a CP in feb. Prior to that i was around 29 days. According to my Flo app, I am 6w3d as my last period was 1/4/2020 but according to the NHS website, when I put in my alleged cycle length, I am only 4w as my period is due on Monday... how do I know how many weeks I am?!

BabyG123 · 08/05/2020 13:05

@greeny506 the midwife said you go off the first day of your last period. Which would make you 5 weeks 2 days if 1/4/2020. Mine was 31/3/2020 and didn't say 5th January xx

greeny506 · 08/05/2020 13:49

@BabyG123 oh, my Flo app is very confused then! Thanks!

Carabu1 · 08/05/2020 13:59

@Fisher1008 I’ve been debating that too. I think I’m going to wait until after the 12 week scan, because I’m scared to jinx it (stupid I know!) and also because I’m the kind of person if it went wrong who wouldn’t really want to talk about it, and telling my parents I’d Mc would make me feel worse. Lockdown is certainly making keeping it quiet easier, but don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep it up after that...I’m scared people will guess!

Fisher1008 · 08/05/2020 14:14

Luckily there is no social situations where we have to pretend to be ‘driving’. I’m so excited I want to tell my parents, I think my mum in particular might be upset if I waited until 12 weeks we are really close and she’s the only one of her friends without grandchildren. Her birthday is June 5th so I might tell her then. I’ll be almost 8 weeks then and the chance of mc declines significantly every week I think 🤞🏻. It’s so hard isn’t it @Carabu1

Carabu1 · 08/05/2020 15:19

@fisher1008 I live in a city where everything is walkable or on the train/bus - so driving offers me no get out, ha. That would be a lovely birthday present for your mum - and I know lots of people would like their parents' support even if things went wrong (which hopefully they won't!). I think I'm just being weird about it. Husband has been very good and is happy to wait as long as I like...worried at this rate I'll have my feet in stirrups and still won't have told anyone...! I have an early scan at 7 weeks on Tuesday, so maybe I'll feel better after that!

bookishtartlet · 08/05/2020 15:43

Hey all. I have had 3 BFP last night and this morning, have been ttc number 2 since December. I have a soon to be 5yo DS already who is just about to start school in August (maybe?). Checking in to say hello, you all seem lovely. My due date on nhs calculator is 16th January.

Disney00 · 08/05/2020 17:13

Hi all. I've never been pregnant before and got my BFP yesterday. It didnt even wait the 4 minutes it was so clear! I think my due date is 9th January.
We have been trying for a year, I have polycyclic ovaries and inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis). So a couple of things to keep an eye on.
Does anyone else feel rough? I have needed to have a mid day nap every day this week, I've had nausea really bad but I feel like ive got a temperature. I'm hot and cold. But my temp is 37 so completely normal. And I cant get comfy!
I'm very anxious already, even though planned and so welcome... I am terrified.

CoalCraft · 08/05/2020 17:23

Hi, can I join? Positive pregnancy test on Wednesday morning ☺️

Tomorrow will be six weeks, feeling good so far, slightly saw nipples and some intestinal discomfort but nothing major at all.

Spoke to GP receptionist yesterday and was told I couldn't make an appointment until at least eight weeks, is that normal? I know the tests very rarely give false positives but I'd have liked the pregnancy confirmed by a doc/midwife somehow, and also the NHS website says to get in touch about it straight away.

CoalCraft · 08/05/2020 17:24

Should add this is my first pregnancy so all very new!

BabyG123 · 08/05/2020 18:06

@CoalCraft the first appointment doesn't do that anyway. Just like family history chat etc. You only have a confirmation when you have a scan.

First appointment is 10 weeks ish. Then Scan 12. Hope that makes sense.

Fisher1008 · 08/05/2020 18:20

Congratulations @CoalCraft I just did a self-referral to my local antenatal clinic on my doctors website. When I rang the GP they didn’t even want to see me just said self refer, waiting to hear back now.

I think I’m even earlier maybe 4 + 2 I took my test before AF was due! So I think this will be a long pregnancy ha, it’s our first too!

whatsthecraic91 · 08/05/2020 18:59

@CoalCraft hey girl, I'll be 6 weeks tomorrow too!!

Come join our Facebook group, it's completely private and won't show up to any of your friends

Flatwhite32 · 08/05/2020 19:27

I think I'll wait to join in case anything happens! In my DD's pregnancy I didn't download any apps or anything, as I had done that in my first pregnancy, and seeing them after it all went wrong was hard. Think I'll do the same this time round as it makes me feel calmer!
