Hi!
Just got my BFP this weekend.
I got my first faint positive Friday morning with an frer, and today it's much darker (11dpo)!

Leading up to my bfp, I've had icky feeling, tiredness, dizzy spells, headaches, cramps.
Not feeling as icky as with my last pregnancy yet though!
Provisional due date of 7th January using the NHS calculator.

Come and join once you've got your bfp for January 2021, for a few pregnancy pals!

Does anyone here hit an energy wall about this time of day? Ive noticed this week that after lunch I feel like I could nap. Not ideal when i am supposed to be working from home

Milkshake54 · 30/04/2020 13:23

@ilovetrees30 or so ideal, when you can pop away and take a nap 😂.
I am struggling to get the courage to have lunch today... tummy’s not feeling 100%.

The tiredness for me hits around 8pm!

Cat028 · 30/04/2020 13:34

@Loz1022 it is my first and because we have been TTC for so long I didn't look up what would happen. 🙈 I'm 4+4 atm due on 3rd Jan. I've been very much the same feeling sick and off food some days and wanting to eat load other days. I only feel like toast today.

@Milkshake54 I'm with you there. So tired in the evenings. I could just fall asleep on the sofa.

awizardshouldknowbetter · 30/04/2020 13:41

@gb000 yep that's pretty much what she said. Unless there's glaringly obvious signs to the contrary (eg heavy bleeding and/or severe pain) she said you can be pretty confident everything is as it should be. I know exactly how you feel though - I never realised there would be more waiting after the initial dreaded two week wait post ovulation! I also have been analysing every single twinge, ache, bowel movement. Think for my sanity I'll have to find ways to just forget about it all for a couple of weeks or I'll go mad!

Loz1022 · 30/04/2020 13:42

Aw It’s my first too, my periods have been all over the place and I have really long cycles so it’s been such a shock but I’m over the moon! Ah I’m 3+6 today I think(Based on ovulation), so would be due the 8th jan! we have found out so early on havnt we, just can’t wait to get to 12 weeks! I worry about everything!!🙈 yeh I’m the same, some people don’t get any symptoms until much later on do they! Have you got any cramps? I feel like there’s a constant pressure xx

Loz1022 · 30/04/2020 13:42

Sorry @Cat028 forgot to tag you in the post above

ilovetrees30 · 30/04/2020 13:47

@Milkshake54 sadly I work as a part of a service delivery team so am unable to sneak off for a mid afternoon nap. People would notice. I've got a zoom group PT session at 5:30 which will be interesting to see how much energy I have.

At least one advantage of first trimester during lockdown is not having to try and put on a front around colleagues and do the whole on antibiotics so not drinking stuff.

gb000 · 30/04/2020 13:50

@awizardshouldknowbetter ty ankle girl! That makes me feel a bit better - I think knowledge is king!

Yes, the next few weeks are going to be tough. It's hard without having lots to distract us on lockdown too! I've just decided I'm going to binge a tonne of Netflix and try to do exercise to distract myself....🤷🏼‍♀️

gb000 · 30/04/2020 13:51

@awizardshouldknowbetter omg *thanks girl not "ankle girl", what the hell autocorrect 😂

Cat028 · 30/04/2020 13:52

@awizardshouldknowbetter I think this is a great idea. Im trying hard to do the same. I can't think about the scan atm so countung down until midwife calls in the next 2 weeks. That doesn't sound so bad. I have bern throwing myself into a tonne of cutting and laminating too.

@Loz1022 it is early but when you are tracking it can't be helped. So long to wait though. Yes, I have been cramping which worries me at times but it's more around my stomach than the usual AF cramps in my back.

ilovetrees30 · 30/04/2020 14:02

I've always thought that back in the day before we were so aware of our cycles it must have been easier to suddenly go "hmm no period in 3 months"

Popcat120 · 30/04/2020 14:05

I'm with you all on the worry, and this is my second!!
As it's already been said all we can do is presume and be positive that everything is just as it should be!

@ilovetrees30 Absolutely! I'm not a very patient person by nature either. 😂
@Popcat120 Definitely, trying to remain positive here.

Cat028 · 30/04/2020 14:15

What is everyone doing to keep themselves entertained in lockdown? Anyone started researching anything yet?

Popcat120 · 30/04/2020 14:23

I'm a nurse so working every day 8-2 at the mo, but I have been looking at a buggy board, I love my silver cross pioneer, but DS will only be 2yr and 4 months when new baby arrives, altho he's good at walking now, think we may need one!

I've got everything else I need for another baby otherwise!!
That's the most exciting part, all the new baby stuff you need! X

@Cat028 I dont think Ive ever stopped reaearching things over the last 3.5 years. Im really tempted by the doona car seat for my car as I only have a small car and a big dog who normally takes up the whole boot haha!!

I also have a massive list of names in a note on my phone 🤣

ilovetrees30 · 30/04/2020 14:29

Researching even!

MrsBlue1986 · 30/04/2020 14:30

Hey again all. So i retested again today after my faint positive on Tuesday. I've now got another positive yay. My husband wont believe it still until my period doesnt come on Sunday. Is anyone else's partner the same? 🤣

Also at 12DPO does anyone else feel super sicky, tired, boobs tender? Last night i had to leave the kitchen as the smell of my husband cooking made me feel really sick haha.

Also, tested positive for CORONAVIRUS, which i think im feeling a bit better for, but does anyone know if the fever can harm the baby at such an early stage? Xx

Popcat120 · 30/04/2020 14:39

Ah at least you know for sure it's coronavirus.
How are you feeling coronavirus wise?
Is your temp controlled? @mrsblue1986

And yes to the OH, he kept saying, well we don't know yet, 'erm yes we do, that's a pretty positive test' haha

OP posts:
MrsBlue1986 · 30/04/2020 14:43

@popcat120 hey! Generally ok, ive had it for 5 days now, fever comes and goes on and off with chills but not had it today yet. Im just managing it with paracetamol and drinking loads...(which isnt helping my othereise constant need to wee all the time haha. Easily twice an hour!) X

I may have missed your previous comments but when is or was your period due?? My husband is saying 'lets just wait until Sunday to be sure'🤣 x

Popcat120 · 30/04/2020 14:47

That's good, as long as your fever is controlled im sure baby will be OK..
Make sure you take regular paracetamol just to keep on top of fever.

My period is due today, no sign yet!
I got a 2-3 week on CB yesterday, so I probably am pregnant 😂

OP posts:
MrsBlue1986 · 30/04/2020 14:50

Thank you @popcat120 ! I will do xx

Oh gosh today!? I wonder do you still get AF type symptoms even though it doesnt come on or not. Are you generally feeling OK? X

Popcat120 · 30/04/2020 14:56

@mrsblue1986 I'm feeling fine really, hungry in an afternoon and tired, I'm asleep by half 8, and then awake in the early hours because I went to bed too early!

I've been a bit gripey today, and a few times rushed to toilet thinking af had started, but was just creamy dc!

Was a bit worried about lack of Symptoms, had a few sicky days earlier in the week.
I felt horrendous in my last pregnancy, but google tells me Second pregnancies are often easier symptom wise and labour wise! 🤞🏻 X

OP posts:
MrsBlue1986 · 30/04/2020 15:10

@Popcat120 so least you know whats going to happen!! Haha im totally clueless haha.

My husbands friends wife is a gynae doctor (weve not told anyone yet), but i remember her saying that the NHS now offer the first dating scan beteren 8-14 weeks. So i guess i just need to call the GP and get an appt? Is that all youve done? Xx

What sort of supplements are you all taking? Im only taking folic acid.... x

ilovetrees30 · 30/04/2020 15:15

@MrsBlue1986 I am taking vit d, folic acid, magnesium and omega 3,6 & 9. I cant take a combined prenatal as then I'd be ingesting too much iodine and I have to be careful with my iodine intake.

I am on knicker watch something chronic @Popcat120.
