Hi ladies,

Finally getting a few lucid moments from the crippling neseua so wanted to start a thread for anyone due around this time.

There are a fair few threads knocking around for around the same months so this one is more for women who prefer not to do the whole Facebook thing or join what app groups. Well not quite yet anyway.

Of course anyone is welcome and if joiners decide to link up in those other ways at whatever point then I for one will definitely support it. It's so good to have support across whatever platforms we use as women, we need either other

💪 To the sisterhood

Anyway. My stats are-

Age 33 this past April
We have two children already both girls age 2 and 10
My Partner/fiancee is also 33 and we've been together 11 years,

We were supposed to be having a civil partnership (yes he is a man) last month but it was cancelled due to covid so it's now next year.

Expecting non identical twins the end of November, but good chance I'll get cut open or induced before then.

See how far we get!

I'm 8 weeks and 2

I had a missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan back in October so this pregnancy took me 5 months on from then to conceive.

Enough about me, how is everyone feeling?

The first trimester sucks so hard doesn't it!

@lionsmum all the best :) Flowers

This is the little sleep suit I settled on! www.next.co.uk/style/st283650/537927#537927

firstbabybell · 08/05/2020 09:38

@lionsmum thanks for sharing about your little boy. 💙 Update when you can about your scan.

@mummyshark97 that is so cute. Would make a lovely coming home outfit. I can't wait to start shopping. 😬

Snowwhite2020 · 08/05/2020 09:55

Lovely news @ChampooPapi and such a lovely experience for you by the sounds of things! Well I had a scan done privately yesterday a so had been worrying about no symptoms earlier in the week (oh my is the sickness back with a vengeance since then...) and we got to see our wee baby too! Little heart beat, two arms and two legs and everything looking great. It filled my heart with joy! Very very hard for my husband not being allowed in... not sure if any of you are struggling/ partners are stifling with this too. He feels very left out and disconnected not being able to attend appointments and scans, it is such a shame. The big surprise of yesterday though was that I’m 11+1 or 2 so I’m a bit further along than I thought! That might explain the gaps in sickness earlier in the week, hopefully it’s petering out. Good luck to everyone with scans today 💐

Snowwhite2020 · 08/05/2020 09:56

*partners are struggling

hollyjg · 08/05/2020 10:21

Aw yay I'm really happy for you @Snowwhite2020 how exciting to find out your further along!

Good luck @lionsmum for today thinking of you. Thank you for sharing with us about your son as well. Will be waiting for updates❤️❤️❤️

Mumsnet were very good and took my scans down straight away @ChampooPapi

I think we have finally found a house we want to rent in Liverpool! And will be transferring to the women's hospital there which is meant to be really good so that's exciting.
Hope everyone's feeling ok today xxx

Snowwhite2020 · 08/05/2020 10:37

Thanks @hollyjg! Great news for you too about finding a place to live where you want to be too

roro87 · 08/05/2020 10:38

@Snowwhite2020 Yes my partner is quite upset to be left out also but i am hoping we can get a private scan at 17 weeks to find out the gender and that he will be allowed in with me. This is our first baby so would be lovely to experience it together but in the grand scheme of things it could be worse.

Last night/this morning I woke up at 4 am with such a pain in my side couldn't get back to sleep and still there. must have slept funny or pulled something

hollyjg · 08/05/2020 10:47

@roro87 I find every morning I'm achy when I wake up as if I'm sleeping in bad positions might be time to try the pregnancy pillow!
Hope you're feeling better now x

Has anyone had any luck with theirs?

roro87 · 08/05/2020 10:55

@hollyjg Yes I think so was hoping to get until after the scan to buy anything but have to give in.

Any recommendations everyone?

Amytitch · 08/05/2020 11:19

@MummyShark97 I love that little outfit, going to order one now! 😁

MummyShark97 · 08/05/2020 11:44

@Amytitch awh that's lovely! :D

motherofsnortpigs · 08/05/2020 14:04

Sorry for your loss, @lionsmum I hope you enjoy seeing little brother or sister today. Having babies close together definitely takes it out of you. Eat all the food!
What a relief @Snowwhite2020 And you got more pregnant without having to do anything.
I’m hoping that when lockdown ends everyone will take their baby stuff to the charity shop for me to buy. But if I was going to get something new, maybe I would go for a little baby sleeping bag @roro87
I’m having a lazy day. I had a migraine that lasted all night culminating with vomiting all morning. Happy days! At least I have a good excuse for not participating in all the forced jollity on our street...

lockdown84 · 08/05/2020 15:00

Hi all. Enjoying a day off work in the garden in the sun. Having just taken a lot of comfort from all 33 pages of this thread, I’m keen to join in!
I’m 35, expecting my first... currently in that anxious wait between booking appointment and 12 week scan which (like someone else in this group- I forget who!) is on the 15th May. Time is going so slow!!!!
Took some time to get pregnant and don’t want to tell anyone (except my husband obviously) until I see a heartbeat! So just wanted to join in the anxious wait... nice to have some virtual company!
Best wishes ladies!!! Smile

MummyShark97 · 08/05/2020 15:43

@lockdown84 Welcome and congratulations!! I do hope time doesn't drag on for you. I know what you mean about the heartbeat I felt the same, though did tell my parents and hubby's parents.

Now I've seen/heard it I've just had the pleasure of telling my 90 year old grandfather he is going to be a great-grandad! really precious moments and cheered him up loads as he's in lockdown alone.

Amymone · 08/05/2020 16:08

Hi everyone,

Had a little break from mumsnet so totally out of the loop. But I have a gross question for you all....

Is anyone else experiencing a lot of very watery discharge? 3 occasions in the past 3 days I've felt it trickle out and my pants have been soaked through.

No whiteness or residue, just totally clear like water. We're trying to figure out whether we should be worried about amniotic fluid leaking or whether this is normal.

Just spoke to the early pregnancy unit who weren't really sure what to advise. They're closed now but said I could try my local general A&E if I'm worried, but I'm not too keen to do that!

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced the same?

lionsmum · 08/05/2020 16:26

@ChampooPapi @Amytitch @MummyShark97 @hollyjg @firstbabybell @motherofsnortpigs thank you ladies so much for your well wishes, it was so kind of you and lovely to read this morning before the scan. Little bean is growing well, which is fantastic news! The sonographer asked about my son too which was lovely of her, so many are afraid to mention it which I understand but it's a gift when others do mention him to meSmile saw baby wriggling their little leg buds which was amazing even being so small!

Hope everyone else is doing well today and will enjoy their quiet bank holiday weekend

MummyShark97 · 08/05/2020 16:46

@lionsmum what fantastic news and so pleased to hear you had a lovely experience x

firstbabybell · 08/05/2020 16:46

@amymone can't really comment as I am on progesterone pessaries so wouldn't know if it was happening anyway! One of my pregnancy apps said I might be leaking wee already - do you think it could be that?

firstbabybell · 08/05/2020 16:49

@lockdown84 it's me! 👋

10.30 on the 15th. I am the same age as you & it's our first after a rollercoaster journey so we have a few things in common. 😬

Snowwhite2020 · 08/05/2020 16:50

@Amymone sounds like thrush maybe?

Amymone · 08/05/2020 16:54

Thanks @firstbabybell I don't think it's wee, though I have questioned that! I'm pretty sure I can feel it trickling out of my vagina. I think (hope) it's probably normal so think I'll just keep an eye on it.

It's been a horrible week. Went for harmony test and scan on Monday. Sonographer said she thought the NT looked big and measured it at 4.3mm. But spoke to the obestrician and she said 10+4 is definitely too early to take the measurement, and the scan needs to meet a bunch of criteria that it just didn't. No idea what to think now. Just have to wait a week and a bit for 12 week scan. Got harmony bloods back and all low risk which is somewhat confidence boosting but doesn't rule out any cardiac issues etc.

Isn't the waiting horrid?

Amymone · 08/05/2020 16:55

@Snowwhite2020 well no itching or any other symptoms at all. Can thrush show up as totally clear watery liquid? I always thought it was quite opaque for some reason...

RunnerGirl123 · 08/05/2020 17:09

@firstbabybell I'm on progesterone pessaries too! How are you finding them?? I looking forward to stopping them and not having to wear pantyliners all day every day!

RunnerGirl123 · 08/05/2020 17:11

@lionsmum congratulations on the good scan! So glad all was well!

firstbabybell · 08/05/2020 17:54

@runnergirl123 one more week of them - cannot wait, they're awful! I still get wet knickers even with panty liners. I'm looking forward to getting my vagina back. I feel like all I do is shove pessaries up there! Six of horrible things a day! Will also be nice to have sex again as I am absolutely not up for it full of this white gunk! You?

Sorry to the rest of you but you need to know how gross it is. 😩
