Hi ladies,

Finally getting a few lucid moments from the crippling neseua so wanted to start a thread for anyone due around this time.

There are a fair few threads knocking around for around the same months so this one is more for women who prefer not to do the whole Facebook thing or join what app groups. Well not quite yet anyway.

Of course anyone is welcome and if joiners decide to link up in those other ways at whatever point then I for one will definitely support it. It's so good to have support across whatever platforms we use as women, we need either other

💪 To the sisterhood

Anyway. My stats are-

Age 33 this past April
We have two children already both girls age 2 and 10
My Partner/fiancee is also 33 and we've been together 11 years,

We were supposed to be having a civil partnership (yes he is a man) last month but it was cancelled due to covid so it's now next year.

Expecting non identical twins the end of November, but good chance I'll get cut open or induced before then.

See how far we get!

I'm 8 weeks and 2

I had a missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan back in October so this pregnancy took me 5 months on from then to conceive.

Enough about me, how is everyone feeling?

The first trimester sucks so hard doesn't it!

Congratulations @ChampooPapi. Glad all is well (doubly well!)

Had booking in appointment today. Very thorough. Have been referred to the maternal medicine team in case they want to treat my pregnancy as "assisted conception" because I was on hrt at the time, and to the pre-term birth team as I've had a cervical biopsy before. All sounds very overly thorough rather than concerning though, which was good. Feeling quite nervous that something is going to go wrong/be wrong at the scan. Can't work out if it's anxiety, hormones or both. Reassuring that they don't even mention miscarriage or anything, just talk as if you're going to have a baby in 7 months time!

Bobbieblu · 07/05/2020 20:40

@hollyjg great news with your scan and beautiful pictures! In awe of you having 3 under 18months!

MummyShark97 · 07/05/2020 20:44

wow! thrilled to see this the first I log on !!@ChampooPapi

Let me add to the good news! - Had my private scan today and I'm completely over the moon! Baby is healthy and measuring 10+3, I feel so reassured. Hearing the heartbeat was so special. I'll put the pics on soon! We are going to order a little outfit to celebrate!

hollyjg · 07/05/2020 20:50

Yay yay @MummyShark97
Super happy for you ❤️🥰🥳

excitednerves · 07/05/2020 20:56

@motherofsnortpigs ahhhh that’s what I’m hoping for! I’ve resigned myself to a year of madness and no sleep but hoping that they’re besties long term. Fingers crossed this also means they basically amuse each other so I can relax again at some point but this may be wishful thinking!

motherofsnortpigs · 07/05/2020 21:01

Good luck @hollyjg ! It will be madness. Take lots of photos because otherwise you won’t remember any of it. It will bring living in the moment to a whole new level.

excitednerves · 07/05/2020 21:03

Ah @hollyjg having twins deserves a medal in itself, never mind with another little one too. You have my full respect

motherofsnortpigs · 07/05/2020 21:10

@excitednerves it’s when they start to gang up against you, you have to worry!

Congratulations @MummyShark97
I must admit I am a weeny bit envious of the lovely scan photos, but then I think of the reality of schlepping into Oxford alone and I remember how comfy my sofa is. Hats off to you @ChampooPapi, that was quite a journey you made today.

firstbabybell · 07/05/2020 21:29

@mummyshark 🎉 Fantastic news! I'm very excited that you are ordering an outfit too! Send us a pic when you've chosen x

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 22:06

And @roro87 and @lionsmum thank you so much for your kind messages, they were both so thoughtful. I was just re reading them and was really struck by how lovely they are, you are wonderful! 🙌💜

@mummyshark absolutely fantastic news! Trust me I know how you feel! Today was quite some day wasn't it? You must be exhausted now but just so content with the pregnancy now. Really thrilled for you 🙌🎉

@Bobbieblu they are in separate sacks each with their own placentas so fraternal/non identical. There can still be a chance of them being identical but it's something they can check at birth I think

ChampooPapi · 07/05/2020 22:12

@hollyjg brilliant photos! So cute! They look adorable in the same snuggle sack, love it! 👶💜

@hollyjg also all your information is on your scan photos! You need to crop them , I reckon mumsnet will help you they are constantly having to tell people that their details are on the scan photos. I actually thought I had put mine up too and I would have had it not been cropped by the ultrasound place already for me. I too just uploaded them without checking them. Only my hard copies have my details on.

Don't worry though no one on here is going to do anything with your information it's more for in years time ect or just data protection for scammers using details

hollyjg · 07/05/2020 22:24

Thanks @ChampooPapi I instantly thought that as soon as I put them up but was so happy seeing your ones it was an impulse post lol!
Have reported to mumsnet.

I had the same journey back as you only on a packed London bus so not quite as peaceful! Still so happy yours went well 😊

Only four weeks until the next scan! Argh!

lionsmum · 07/05/2020 23:23

@excitednerves how are you feeling about it all? I'm sure it will be hard but wonderful! We lost our son last year so I won't be able to relate to having two little ones so close in age running around together, but I can certainly imagine. And can totally sympathise with the already there tummy situation😅

@ChampooPapi congratulations, I'm so glad everything went well! they are really starting to resemble babies it's amazing!

I have my 10 week scan tomorrow morning, excited nervous for sure!

excitednerves · 08/05/2020 00:35

@lionsmum oh my goodness, I’m so sorry. I had no idea. I’ll take that as a lesson never to assume anything and I hope I didn’t offend you. This pregnancy must be full of so many emotions. I hope you are doing ok. X

excitednerves · 08/05/2020 00:36

@lionsmum wishing you so much luck for your scan tomorrow x

peachypetite · 08/05/2020 06:27

Wow lots of lovely updates from the ladies who have had scans Smile
@ChampooPapi I was thinking of you yesterday too and thanks for taking the time to update us. You must have been thrilled seeing them on the screen. Cheers for the link to the pjs. I definitely need to order some new ones and I’m like you I want cotton. Is it the spa tone sachets? I’m going to get some.

lionsmum · 08/05/2020 06:58

@excitednerves oh no you didn't offend me at all, I love any opportunity to mention my son, even just a little one. It's not your fault at all. Thank you, it certainly is! But I'm being cared for my a lovely team who cared for me with my son too so it's nice to be seeing familiar faces. Thank you so much! Not much longer to wait x

ChampooPapi · 08/05/2020 08:36

@lionsmum thinking of you and update us when you can 💜🤗
