Hi ladies,

Finally getting a few lucid moments from the crippling neseua so wanted to start a thread for anyone due around this time.

There are a fair few threads knocking around for around the same months so this one is more for women who prefer not to do the whole Facebook thing or join what app groups. Well not quite yet anyway.

Of course anyone is welcome and if joiners decide to link up in those other ways at whatever point then I for one will definitely support it. It's so good to have support across whatever platforms we use as women, we need either other

💪 To the sisterhood

Anyway. My stats are-

Age 33 this past April
We have two children already both girls age 2 and 10
My Partner/fiancee is also 33 and we've been together 11 years,

We were supposed to be having a civil partnership (yes he is a man) last month but it was cancelled due to covid so it's now next year.

Expecting non identical twins the end of November, but good chance I'll get cut open or induced before then.

See how far we get!

I'm 8 weeks and 2

I had a missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan back in October so this pregnancy took me 5 months on from then to conceive.

Enough about me, how is everyone feeling?

The first trimester sucks so hard doesn't it!

@snowwhite2020 are you going to be able to wait until Thursday?

If not I'd call your GP - if nothing else they will be able to reassure you that this is just you coming out of the 1st trimester fog rather than anything else x

RestorationInsanity · 05/05/2020 11:07

@Snowwhite2020 I'm sorry for this uncertainty. There's nothing anyone can say to ease your fear but as some of the others have said, I think it is quite normal for symptoms to lessen after a certain point, and then stay gone, or come back a bit. I know Thursday feels like an eternity away for a scan.

RestorationInsanity · 05/05/2020 11:09

@firstbabybell I'm the same. Awake in the night to wee and then nausea that stops me getting back to sleep. Has only happened for the last couple of days. Feel slightly better today although, and this is gross, I feel really congested and phlegmy, doesn't help with all the dust from our building work, but it's so much I almost thought I was getting a cold! Had such a vivid dream last night about going to London, to the theatre, restaurant etc, but everywhere I went I just needed to find a loo. Turns out it was my brain's way of telling me to wake up because I really need to pee!

firstbabybell · 05/05/2020 11:28

@restorationinsanity what building work are you doing? Cannot imagine living in that dust whilst feeling so grim. Hats off to you! Will be worth it when it's done

peachypetite · 05/05/2020 11:43

@Snowwhite2020 fingers crossed for you that everything is fine. You never know, symptoms could be back in a couple of days.

Snowwhite2020 · 05/05/2020 11:58

Thanks @peachypetite and @firstbabybell my husband just made a strong coffee as a “test” and sure enough I gagged (precious coffee addict). Good sign?

@firstbabybell everything 😂 currently on ground floor extension including dining room refurb, kitchen refurb, utility room and wc. Kitchen is coming next week thank goodness! Then moving on to patio and loft conversion! We know the builder well from our previous house but it serves us right for planning our life based on the fact we'd never be able to have a child.

RestorationInsanity · 05/05/2020 12:01

Very good sign I'd say @Snowwhite2020. You may just be getting used to the level of hormones too so the symptoms don't seem so severe.

peachypetite · 05/05/2020 12:02

Stay positive. I’ve had a couple of days in the last week where I wouldn’t have even know I was pregnant - ate a massive portion of takeaway fish and chips for dinner, another day I ate three normal meals, but then yesterday and today I’ve felt wretched.

Snowwhite2020 · 05/05/2020 12:05

Fingers crossed @peachypetitewnd @firstbabybell. It’s my first pregnancy and I’m feeling very anxious in general, especially with coronovirus. It’s such a weird time to be pregnant... I hope you are right and everything is well. Glad you are also getting a bit of relief some days @peachypetite the sickness is awful... not it’s all I want to feel!

Thank you @RestorationInsanity xx

OoOoBabyLove · 05/05/2020 12:34

i just wanted to jump on and give a bit of reassurance, i cant tag people for some reason but for Snow White, i have also suffered extreme sickness and nausea from 6 weeks to 10weeks, really extreme, lost 8kg, became dehydrated, given prochlorperazine. then on saturday, it just stopped! i had my
booking app yday with midwife and then went up quickly for bloods and bmi check and she said its totally normal as placenta takes over!!! hope that gives u a bit of reassurance x

roro87 · 05/05/2020 12:53

@Snowwhite2020 If it was me personally I would go to epu on Thursday it you are still worried even if just for peace of mind. that being said I haven't gotten sick since Thursday and today I'm really bad again. I think peace of mind is worth a lot

EithneBlue · 05/05/2020 14:04

@snowwhite2020 - sorry you're so anxious. Take up the offer to get checked on Thursday for sure: if nothing else it will hopefully ease your mind.
It's definitely often the case that women start to feel a little better at around 10 weeks (and if you're out by even a few days on your dates at this stage that could make a different) so it's honestly probably just that. My Ovia app started telling me I might feel better before week 10 so I think there's huge individual variation. Definitey remember that the odds are in your favour.

Bobbieblu · 05/05/2020 16:24

Quick update from me. Scan today was all ok- phew! Good luck with all the other scans happening this week!

ChampooPapi · 05/05/2020 16:48

@Bobbieblu oh thank goodness, you must be in a state of such relief!

ChampooPapi · 05/05/2020 16:55

@Bobbieblu were both the babies measuring the same?

OP posts:
Bobbieblu · 05/05/2020 17:02

Thank you @champoopapi it’s a huge relief! Both exactly the same size and wiggling around like mad. Not long till your scan now!

peachypetite · 05/05/2020 17:10

That’s great @Bobbieblu!
I haven’t eaten anything today except crackers. I feel weak! Argh this is awful.

hollyjg · 05/05/2020 17:15
