Hi ladies,

Finally getting a few lucid moments from the crippling neseua so wanted to start a thread for anyone due around this time.

There are a fair few threads knocking around for around the same months so this one is more for women who prefer not to do the whole Facebook thing or join what app groups. Well not quite yet anyway.

Of course anyone is welcome and if joiners decide to link up in those other ways at whatever point then I for one will definitely support it. It's so good to have support across whatever platforms we use as women, we need either other

💪 To the sisterhood

Anyway. My stats are-

Age 33 this past April
We have two children already both girls age 2 and 10
My Partner/fiancee is also 33 and we've been together 11 years,

We were supposed to be having a civil partnership (yes he is a man) last month but it was cancelled due to covid so it's now next year.

Expecting non identical twins the end of November, but good chance I'll get cut open or induced before then.

See how far we get!

I'm 8 weeks and 2

I had a missed miscarriage at my 12 week scan back in October so this pregnancy took me 5 months on from then to conceive.

Enough about me, how is everyone feeling?

The first trimester sucks so hard doesn't it!

Yay @twinsbelly any advice on twins would be greatly appreciated!
I agree with @ChampooPapi 1 baby will seem like a breeze after having 2! 👭🤰🏼❤️

RestorationInsanity · 01/05/2020 18:13

That's excellent that all is well @twinsbelly! Nice for you to go into the weekend with that info.

MummyShark97 · 01/05/2020 18:15

had my booking in and tests today - it was very all of a sudden as the midwife phone and asked if I had time today - good timing with my day off. I was super nervous about the blood test as last time I blacked out when I came out of the surgery but she was super - didn't go woozy at all! hope everyone is good today!

ChampooPapi · 01/05/2020 20:16

@MummyShark97 that's great you've had some bloods done. Low bloody pressure is a bitch, though much better then having high blood pressure when pregnant. If you always ask to lay down when you have bloods taken, because it can strike at any point.

I am of course in bed writing this. Nothing to report except I ate too much pizza again and then nearly threw up when brushing my teeth, when will it end!

I know 12 weeks is the time one feels so much better but even Monday seems ages away at this point. Two weeks is like a year 😂🙄

I'm hoping to stay up past ten tonight to celebrate my bfs birthday. he went and got my alcohol free kopperburg so I didn't feel left out while he had a drink. it's the little things. A restaurant near us that's really nice has opened for take away so we are getting one tomorrow. 2 weeks seems like an eternity right now

hollyjg · 01/05/2020 20:44

I feel all your pain I made the loveliest pasta while boyfriend was at work and then as soon as I played it up lost all appetite for it!

Would love a nice strong coffee right about now 😂

hollyjg · 01/05/2020 20:44

I meant plated it up! Damn autocorrect

MummyShark97 · 01/05/2020 21:05

@ChampooPapi I don't even know what it is, apparently something called a vagal response triggered by having blood taken but I did lie down today and kept nice and calm and it was the best it's ever gone she did say the increase in blood flow due to pregnancy was on my side... now lets hope I don't hear back about it too soon- no news is good news!

hope you feel better soon:( my OH has got a takeaway and I've managed one onion ring haha! I just can't face anything today

RestorationInsanity · 01/05/2020 21:06

I nearly cried because we didn't have the ingredient for what I wanted for dinner (spinach pasta). Now it's all I can think about it. And I've gone off tea! Was fine for the first couple of weeks. Now I just don't care for it, and I'm a total tea fiend!

roro87 · 01/05/2020 21:57

I used to be a real savory person and I've ate more chocolate and sweets than ever. my favourite breakfast has gone from sausages to brown soda bread with Jam. @hollyjg oh no that's awful especially when you went to all that trouble that hasn't happened me yet it's more the thought of everything makes me feel sick so I don't think just grab things. Starting to feel queasy again now early morning and night are my worst times

peachypetite · 02/05/2020 05:42

I’m awake already agh. Went to bed super early last night though. Made it through without needing to wee yay! I’ll probably have a nap this afternoon and try and go to bed a bit later. I am keeping the fridge stocked with lots of snack type food so I can eat what I fancy rather than big meals: fruit, yoghurt, custard pots, plenty of cheese as this seems to be something I can always tolerate, crackers, cherry tomato, cucumber and eggs. I am definitely eating more than a couple of weeks back but it’s still all very plain and I really have to think about what I want to eat. I used to be a massive fish lover and other than fish fingers just can’t stomach it.

MummyShark97 · 02/05/2020 06:56

I've just done the same @peachypetite laid in the max I could and I got up to find it's 6:50! Feeling tired but not sleepy

firstbabybell · 02/05/2020 07:15

@peachypetite I also slept through with no wee! 🥳

It was my birthday yesterday & hubby's on Thursday - luckily I didn't feel too bad on his birthday so we managed a takeaway pizza but felt rotten yesterday - last night all I wanted was a jacket potato. Then curled up in the fetal position feeling sorry for myself until bed at 10.

I think I can feel my uterus too which I am very excited about - hard mass just above my pelvis. Think week 10 is about the time that's possible. Makes it feel more real.

Ladies we made it the weekend which is cause for celebration! 😎

firstbabybell · 02/05/2020 07:19

@mummyshark97 vasovagal is the fancy name for a faint.

Absolutely, getting your feet up is best way to prevent it - or getting pregnant! Lol

Glad it went well. Will be reassuring to get your results x

roro87 · 02/05/2020 07:56

@peachypetite lucky you. I've been up since 3 am with the worst stomach cramps. they woke me at 1 and I fell back to sleep then again at 3. Not sure if I should be worried but think not as every time they would get bad I'd let out a massive fart Tmi I know and then pains would ease. having breakfast now and then will try and get another hour or two

peachypetite · 02/05/2020 08:01

Oh no @roro87 are you constipated?

firstbabybell · 02/05/2020 08:03

@roro87 try going on all fours for helping get the wind moving.

Trapped wind can be absolute agony - my friend said it's worse than labour pains!

roro87 · 02/05/2020 08:05

I went to the toilet a few times yesterday before that I was. but it's just not fun. I would have been prone to it anyway. yes I tried the all fours thing and helped a little. think it was just a bad night.

MummyShark97 · 02/05/2020 08:22

@firstbabybell aha! thanks - look forward to us all going for our scans and getting the reassurance x

MummyShark97 · 02/05/2020 08:23

@roro87 that's the worst it's so painful! hope you are feeling a bit better

hollyjg · 02/05/2020 09:04

Trapped wind is awful. It always panics me cause it does feel like as cramps and then you always fart and it passes! Lol.
When I went into labour with my first when the contractions were first happening I thought they were just really trapped wind!

My son has been up since 4 the joy! But I've finally managed to eat the nice pasta I made yesterday. I'm going for a big snack stock up later I think just nibbling on crisps etc is the way to go! 🍪🥐🧀🍬🍫

MySafeSpace · 02/05/2020 09:17

@hollyjg I've been advised to avoid supermarkets and shops by my midwife, she's said to avoid any unnecessary risks so shopping is out!

hollyjg · 02/05/2020 09:24

@MySafeSpace Yeah it's true have to be so careful. I'll might send the boyfriend down with the baby and a long list - give me 5 minutes peace as well lol

peachypetite · 02/05/2020 09:26

Is anyone else soooo sneezy? I sneeze every single morning multiple times when I wake up and then on and off throughout the day. Sometimes it is painful if I’m lying down which I think is ligament pain. I’ve just googled it and apparently this is a thing - pregnancy rhinitis Confused
