Sorry I haven't replied to anyone yet, I'm absolutely useless. Sickness eased for a few hours yesterday and I felt so much better only to wake up today feeling awful. Worst day yet. Actually was sick in my sink this afternoon, a new low.

Anyway, love to all you wonderful women, keep trucking, it does get better I promise, but it sometimes gets worse first!

I've written off April, 7 and a half weeks so by the beginning of May I will hopefully start to become a human again 🙏

Karendecorse · 13/04/2020 20:12

Hi, might be a late to the party, but I'm due 26th Nov! Can't believe how many are due at the same time

MummyShark97 · 13/04/2020 20:42

@Wildtimes awh thank you, I know what you mean about work, even taking breaks when I've felt super nauseaous has left me feeling like I need to tell them to explain things but I just don't want to when it's so early on, so do what feels right for you, it's right to put yourself first now Smile, I feel the same about the scan, it almost doesn't feel real!

@ChampooPapi Hi there ! really hope you have a better day tomorrow, that sounds rubbish Flowers

@karendecorse hello! I know it's so lovely !

Saraelle · 13/04/2020 21:57

@ChampooPapi hope you have a better day tomorrow. My day has been a bit rubbish today. I find water or juice help a lot and eating little and often. I haven’t been sick yet but feel so nauseous, even had an afternoon sleep today!!

KrissyMB · 13/04/2020 23:54

@ChampooPapi right there with you on a bad day. I am struggling to get out of bed in the mornings with how rotten I'm feeling too

Welcome all other mommas expecting November babies!

I have decided to write off April. Be kind to my body and let it rest as much as possible.

KrissyMB · 13/04/2020 23:59

@Wildtimes hey I've found a few things that have helped me - ice lollies and boiled sweets, and also weirdly pickled onions. I have also got sea sick bands...unfortunately no difference with them!

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2020 06:58

Thanks @Saraelle and @MummyShark97 I hope you guys are being cared for by as kind a partners as yourselves. We deserve this time to be served! And to die under a duvet obviously 😣

All the best to you @KrissyMB, it's so debilitating, it really is the worse thing. I'd rather go through labour them this, at least that finishes after a point, this goes on for weeks and weeks!

Writing off April is wisdom, anyone feeling like us and expecting to achieve anything in April will be very dissapointed! It is the month of the human fetal position in bed and the ice lolly, the cheese and the cracker. We will be reborn by our 12 week scans but im not holding up any kind of miraculous recovery now until around then.

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2020 06:59

@Wildtimes and you definitely need some time off woman ! 💜

peachypetite · 14/04/2020 07:14

@Wildtimes can you take any time off? I’m just about coping because I’m WFH and able to take it easy?

Pinecone88 · 14/04/2020 07:18

@EithneBlue I have not had it yet. I have to wait this week to receive a phone call just to book the phone appointment. I mean, it's annoying, but since they are not taking bloods, there is no rush anyways.

Pippop21 · 14/04/2020 08:13

Morning ladies!

Has anyone had a dull ofd pain in the groin? Mines usually in my right groin but i have had it in both? When i google im getting results for ligament pain but i didnt think you could get this so early on? Xx

OP posts:
Saraelle · 14/04/2020 08:28

@Pippop21 yes I get this and also when I sneeze I feel like I’m going to get a hernia in my groin! Sometimes so painful. But looking it up says it’s all the growing room being made

EithneBlue · 14/04/2020 08:30

@Pippop21 - yes: I have also made the fatal error of Googling every tug, pull and twinge (terrible idea, don't do it) everything is growing and the hormones relax the muscles making them more prone to getting pulled or irritated.

NHS guidance is to seek advice if pain is severe or accompanied by actual bleeding. Otherwise don't worry :-)
A warm Epsom salt bath absolutely rescued me yesterday :-)

@Pinecone88 Oh that is kind of irritating: like not the end of the world but definitely an irritation for which I would normally suggest a G&T as a suitable cure (perhaps a little later in the day).

excitednerves · 14/04/2020 08:34

Hi! I’m currently due 25th Nov too. 12wk scan on 18th May which feels like a lifetime away.

Trying to find things to look forward to between now and the scan to break up the wait.

So far I feel OK. Very tired (not helped by my 8 month old going through a sleep regression at the minute) and some nausea but that’s very similar to my first pregnancy. Convincing myself that unless I have a reason to worry then I have to assume everything is going ok in there.

Pippop21 · 14/04/2020 08:40

Thabks for the replies haha! I am following the page from a distance as im trying to not think about anything and my anxiety is through the roof, so the less i read etc about pregnancy the better i feel. I'll pop on and off every now and then xxxx

OP posts:
Pippop21 · 14/04/2020 08:42

@excitednerves im due on the 25th also! 😁 im also napping in the afternoon now and yawning my head off a lot, not a lot of nausea still i have food aversions and sore boobs that come and go. Theyre more sore in the night when im asleep which is odd lol! So sneezing my head off and living off toast as the baby doesn't seem to ike anything else haha xxx

Wildtimes · 14/04/2020 08:48

@KrissyMB thanks for the tips, going to try them all!

@peachypetite I've informed work that I'm self isolating which gives me a week off, so hopefully things improve in that time

@excitednerves I can't imagine juggling being pregnant and having an 8 month old! Good luck and I hope you find time to rest 🙂

excitednerves · 14/04/2020 08:56

@Pippop21 @wildtimes - I’m napping when the baby naps, it’s a skill for getting through the first few months with a newborn. Also he thinks it’s hilarious when I yawn so at least I’m amusing him.

I find I only have nausea when I’m hungry so I’m trying to eat little snacks

KrissyMB · 14/04/2020 09:25

@ChampooPapi yes this is the month of completing netflix and eating myself into a coma in hope that it stops the nausea! People say it starts to clear at week 12 but some say longer! I have caved and phoned the doctor today just to see if there is anything they can prescribe as saw on another post some people had things prescribed, even early on. Will let you know what they say. I'm normally a keen runner and once I'm out it's kind of okay, but the want to go out isn't there because I'm feeling rotten!

KrissyMB · 14/04/2020 10:46

Just spoken to a lovely Doctor. He recommends taking B6 which he says you can get over the counter. He also has prescribed me Promethazine. Fingers crossed it helps!

CurlyT94 · 14/04/2020 12:00

Hello again ladies
Hope you’re all doing okay. Sorry to hear about all the sickness, mine seems to come in waves but I’ve actually been sick a few times which hasn’t been nice.
Are period pain like cramps normal in pregnancy? I’m 7+5 and keep getting cramps like I do when I’m on my period

cfgordo · 14/04/2020 12:35

@CurlyT94 I’ve had loads of cramps (now 8+2) which freaked me out initially but starting to get used to them, they’re just really uncomfortable but I think it’s just everything moving about. Or at least I hope so :)

ChampooPapi · 14/04/2020 13:54

this is the month of completing netflix

@KrissyMB I am your spirit animal!

Thanks for the update. I will definitely be interested in how you get on, I've sent my partner out for b6, but holding out on phoning up for the hard stuff untill you have ginnypigged it for me 😉

Promethazine is also a sedative so I am a little sceptical personally as I'm so dead tired , but if it lessens the neusea then it's a win. The sickness makes your head hurt all the time doesn't it? A ever ebbing, but mostly flowing, migraine to be managed. I'm on paracetamol every 4 hours anyway so I'm definitely not against medication.

It's got to be tried 💜

KrissyMB · 14/04/2020 19:20

@ChampooPapi yes I think it's reached the point now where I'll take being dopey over this nausea feeling. I went to the chemist today but they hadn't got the prescription through yet so hopefully tomorrow! Until then I'll just have to keep positive and keep eating myself into a coma 😭😬🙃

peachypetite · 14/04/2020 19:45

Back to feeling super tired! Had a nap this afternoon and I’m already looking forward to bed.
