Hi all. I'm due 20th nov according to the NHS calculator. Feeling apprehensive, as I'm sure we all are, but have had previous losses so know the score. Unfortunately I'm also pretty sure I had CV at about 6 weeks, so very nervous for the 12 week scan. Fingers crossed for all of you! Nausea is coming and going but I'm just piling carbs on top of it! Xxx

peachypetite · 12/04/2020 18:08

Feeling much less nauseous today thank god but still off food. Eating tiny things like an apple, some cheese and crackers every few hours.

Pippop21 · 12/04/2020 18:12

@Champoopapi im feeling ok, tired and sore boobs on and off nausea and loads of food aversions lol

So! Hi all, ive been super busy with work! Thought if quickly post while i have two minutes and im not napping haha!

Had a some brown discharge yesterday morning when i wipes twice, and nothing since...it has worried me a little but in a bit disconnected from this pregnancy with having two previous losses so im kind of at the point of it will be what it will be. Been napping everyday now and still sore boobs and most food unless its toast or milk just dont appeal, even my roast today made me feel sick lol!

Im putting my brown discharge down to the bleed i have above the gestational sac, ive not tpld my partner as dpnt want tp worry him!

Oh also got my booking in appointment and scan through the post...scans on the 19th may and i'll be 12+5 which is the exact same time my last scan was and we had no heart beat so im just bot thinkin about it

@Pippop21 I think since you know there was a little bleeding inside and it's just a tiny bit of brown spotting then you're right not to worry too much: there is a reason spotting is listed at the top of all the NHS/Start4Life symptom lists :-)

Meanwhile this bloating Blush Blush ... I ate dinner (curry: nom nom) and then immediately puffed up round the middle like one of those cartoon fish. My husband was like... wtf just happened?

Pinecone88 · 12/04/2020 20:24

Hi all!
I was supposed to have my first midwife appointment today. I got there and was told that it will be over the phone. Somebody forgot to call me and cancel this face to face one. 😬

I've had really bad nausea today and have been in bed all day. Feel like crap 😔

Pippop21 · 12/04/2020 20:25

@EithneBlue 🤣🤣 what do u mean you puffed up after the curry? Im constantly look like a puffer fish hahaha!

Yes it was a teeny tiny bit on the loo roll so hopefully babies fine

Ive just gobbled a pack of flaming hot cheese Doritos and i need more!!!!!

peachypetite · 12/04/2020 20:53

@Pinecone88 that is maddening. It doesn’t give you a great first impression to your care does it. I’ve not heard anything since my original letter which came a couple of weeks ago inviting me in, if I don’t hear anything else I will definitely be calling them the day before to double check.

KrissyMB · 13/04/2020 09:03

So I've also figured out boiled sweets are a life saver!!! Lemon sherbets seem to help the nausea a little! Just worried about lots of sugar!

Pinecone88 · 13/04/2020 09:08

@peachypetite The nurse I spoke to was very apologetic so I was not too upset, wasn't nice though.
I would definitely call day before as they told me guidelines change every day.

cfgordo · 13/04/2020 09:24

Hello! 8+1 here, due 22nd November. This is my first pregnancy and it happened much quicker than we had expected - almost feel like because we had it easy conceiving that I’m due some bad luck but trying to stay positive.... Midwife on April 27th and scan May 14th but that feels so far away just now. Hope everyone is well :)

EithneBlue · 13/04/2020 10:16

@Pippop21 - yeah it's not so bad when I'm just nibbling crackers and toast but whenever I eat a proper meal I can only eat half my usual portion and bloat up instantly. It's sort of hilarious and uncomfortable at the same time.

@Pinecone88 Oh how annoying! Hopefully you had your phone appointment OK though?

@cfgordo Welcome :-) I don't have a scan date yet (assume they'll give that to me at my booking appointment) but that'll probanly be around mid-May like everyone else. It feels impossibly far in the future, although I am trying to tell myself that since it's been more than 4 weeks since I found out I was pregnant I am already half way through waiting :-) Every time I get a random cramp or twinge or ache or random pulling feeling (daily haha) I'm like... "maybe I should get a private scan to check it's OK in there..." and then it inevitably goes away again 10 minutes later and I'm like... it's probably fine, leave the poor kid alone: it doesn't need poking unnecessarily.

GillianHolroyd · 13/04/2020 10:26

@cfgordo - welcome! I’m due on the same date! X

cfgordo · 13/04/2020 11:00

@EithneBlue I’ve had so much cramping, it was actually the reason I took the test in the first place! It’s weird because it feels so similar to period pain but no bleeding or anything so hoping everything is fine. Your point about leaving the poor kid alone made me laugh - think I might book a private scan just so my hubby can be there but we’ll see....

@GillianHolroyd - exciting! We’ll need to keep each other up to date :)

GillianHolroyd · 13/04/2020 11:59

@cfgordo - at my private scan no partners were allowed - they’ve had to be very strict.

cfgordo · 13/04/2020 12:03

@GillianHolroyd Oh no I didn’t realise - the website seemed to say it was ok :( thanks for letting me know

GillianHolroyd · 13/04/2020 12:08

@cfgordo - your clinic may be different to mine, but when I booked they ask I come alone x

Beccarans89 · 13/04/2020 14:07

@cfgordo definitely worth checking with your clinic - we had one at 6 weeks as I had spotting on and off for 5 days and hubby was allowed to come! However there is another one local to me and he wasn't allowed if we'd booked there, so I think each may differ! X

Clo1997cc · 13/04/2020 14:22

So I've just rang my doctors, my appointment Wednesday is no longer being held at my gp it's somewhere else, the midwife base, which the lady on the phone didn't know exactly where that is.
I've been given a number to ring but nobody's replying so god knows what's going on now.
I understand the world is crazy at the moment but I feel almost forgotten about, if I'd not rang today I could've easily turned up Wednesday to an appointment I'm apparently no longer having, stressedSmile

Saraelle · 13/04/2020 14:40

Hi all, can I join? I am 7 weeks tomorrow so due date is 1st December. This is my first baby and we were TTC for over two years so we found ourselves on the IVF route. I had two embryos transferred back in for better chances, small risk of twins! But just one would be lovely if two don’t come along. Keeping positive!

I wanted to find a group of similar dates and looks like you ladies are the closest! My symptoms are up and down with bloating and nausea being the biggest contenders! With having IVF I am having to take a Cyclogest pessary twice daily for my progesterone level, I’m not sure if that’s making me more bloated or not but my favourite clothes are leggings and joggers right now!

I have an early scan on Wednesday so only two days to wait. My partner can’t come so I am really hoping they allow me to record or they give me a recording?

How are you all doing regards to work in the current situation? As I work for my dad as soon as I took my test I deemed myself as part of the governments guidance for pregnant women. I can work for home, it’s not the greatest as there are lots of things in my office I need, which I go and collect once they have all left (wearing PPE and using hand sanitizer) but I am worried that my dad wants me back at work. If it was just me to think about catching the virus I would not be as cautious, but as they don’t know if this virus affects developing embryos and foetuses, I want to play it safe, given that these babies are IVF and we only have 1 other embryo from this cycle if unsuccessful.

Xx

peachypetite · 13/04/2020 15:36

@Clo1997cc yeh that’s my worry too! Mine is next week and I’ll deffo be ringing the day before unless they get in touch with me because I really don’t want to be going to hospitals for no reason right now!

Clo1997cc · 13/04/2020 17:45

@peachypetite it's just crazy, I wonder if they wouldn't have even let me know if I didn't ring!
I can't wait for all this to be over and things start getting back to normal. I hope your appointment goes well next weekSmile

MummyShark97 · 13/04/2020 18:08

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to join in the discussion! I think I'm 7+2 and due 28th November. This is my first time around so it's really reassuring to hear from all of you and your experiences Smile.

Wildtimes · 13/04/2020 18:37

Hey everyone, happy Easter.
Little background:
1st pregnancy, unplanned. Think I'm around 9 weeks. I have a telephone booking this week. Currently feel rotten, constant nausea. I work in a hospital and my patients all have covid, but struggling to work cus I feel crap.
Any advice on literally anything pregnancy related would be appreciated. Wanted to join the group to vent and hear others experiences :D

MummyShark97 · 13/04/2020 18:46

@Wildtimes Hello,

I know how you feel!! I've been feeling so similar to this and I've got an awful headache today. I'm able to wfh though so can't imagine the struggle to be on your feet all day and be in such a stressful situation.

I've found that eating really light things such as fruit has really helped me and also sipping lots of water throughout the day. My booking appointment is next week but I've not had anything to say it won't be face to face yet, sounds like I better check in with them a couple of days before.

Wildtimes · 13/04/2020 19:12

@mummyshark97 hi,

Glad to know I'm not the only one feeling like this. I'm just hoping it eases off soon. I'm not ready to tell work but the way I'm feeling I don't think I'll be able to handle going into work 😣

Good luck with your booking appointment. I just want to have a scan asap to confirm everything
