Very best wishes today to @Pippop21 and also thinking of you @mctm123.

I’m 5+4 today, due 2nd December. Also an IVF pregnancy, third cycle and my first pregnancy. I have an early scan booked for 14th April and have got my booking appointment and bloods organised as well as 12 week scan. Very sore boobs and feeling quite tired but also not sleeping well. It’s just such a very odd time all round. The pregnancy feels a bit like some surreal dream along with everything else that’s happening now! Time is dragging though - part of me wishes I could skip ahead a few weeks!

GillianHolroyd · 05/04/2020 09:42

@Pippop21Hope the scan goes well today, got everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi all ☺️

Joining in, going off the NHS website I'm due 30th November.

Total surprise baby. Tested positive last Tuesday...didn't quite believe it and ended up doing 6 tests. Blush all positive.

We had only discussed trying for a baby the month before, and I'd ordered some ovulation kits and pregnancy tests from Amazon and I was so shocked we fell pregnant first time. I honestly expected us to struggle as I'm slightly overweight. Sad

Booked in with Doctors on Wednesday for bloods and got positive results Thursday.

Still in a massive daze. Absolutely amazing. But I'm just so anxious and scared something might go wrong.

Symptoms so far have been needing to use toilet 97 times a day! Grin, sore boobs (not every day though), and slight cramping every so often, but nothing painful.

Booked in for an early internal scan on 24th April, but I'm so tempted to bring it forward for a piece of mind.

At the moment, I'm still doing a test each day (got a big bumper pack from amazon) and hoping my little baba is still with me. So far so good though.

Hope you are all well Smile

Zoe

Ps - sorry for all the sad faces, I dont know how they got there!

KrissyMB · 06/04/2020 08:30

Anyone got any tips for nausea? I am feeling horrendous with it :(

Pinecone88 · 06/04/2020 09:10

@KrissyMB I would like to know some tips and tricks for that too. I tried ginger, lemon, snacking, but it does not help 😨

GillianHolroyd · 06/04/2020 13:30

@KrissyMB, @Pinecone88 - I’m with you on that, am so sick all the time. Was so bad I phoned the GP and got some tablets, but they don’t really do a lot. I can’t stomach ginger, lemon or mint 🤢 I’ve been living off of toast and crisps. It’s horrific. Let me know if you find a miracle cure 🤣 Although it does help my anxiety as at least I know the baby is there!

Elles1980 · 06/04/2020 13:37

Hi ladies I hope your all well ❤️.
@Pippop21 sorry I misread lol.im.having my scan done at derriford hospital Plymouth. It's tomorrow morning at 9.15am and to say I'm shitting a brick (sorry for my language) is an understatement 😩! Massive congratulations on your scan going well also 🥰! Fingers crossed mine will. I'm trying to keep calm and busy today. Struggling so badly with nausea and tiredness also ladies, I feel so yucky all the time, it eases slightly at times but never goes away and when it's bad I play dead lol, I literally lay like a corpse 😂🤦🏻‍♀️. I'm wondering if it's my age (was 40 in January) because IV never felt this awful in my other 4 pregnancies 😩! Taking it as a positive still and thinking a baby must be growing to be making me so I'll xxx

ChampooPapi · 06/04/2020 14:05

I'll join you ladies, you seem like what I need currently..I was on the December thread but it moves so fast!

I've put my dates in but a few dodgy cycles so could be due from the 27th of November to the 1st December. I'm waiting it out until my 12 week scan, I don't think those early scan businesses will be open much longer, and I have to say from anyone I know in the medical profession, that is a good thing. There is still a risk of getting the virus by going to them, especially because the nurses and people working there have obviously got to travel there themselves, as well as potentially moonlighting in hospitals which are obviously hot spots for covid.

I understand people who have had ivf will still be scanned early, so it really is for the best these last few places close now.

Getting to 12 weeks is a long time though isn't it! Me and my partner have two children and are having our third, I'm about 6 and a half weeks and boy is the queasyness a train that always arrives on time! I feel like crap.

We lost our last pregnancy, unfortunately we didn't find out until the 12 week scan so I am looking ahead of course, and will be very happy to pass that point.

Until then I'm in full hybernation 🤢💤

ChampooPapi · 06/04/2020 14:08

@Elles1980 good luck tomorrow 💜

Pippop21 · 06/04/2020 15:39
