Hi all,

I'm jumping the gun a little with this as I'm pregnant and found out earlier than a missed period (it's 3 days away)

I had a miscarriage at the start of February so I'm terrified, but trying to be optimistic all will be okay. My lines are getting darker, which they didn't do last time.

Anyone else due in December?

@Beccarans89 I actually do have that place near me and I was looking at doing a private scan there. That's good to know they are still seeing people and you can take someone thanks

Beccarans89 · 28/03/2020 14:38

@tessacoin1 no problem lovely! Fingers crossed it stays that way for a while. They have quite a few clinics so may be useful for others!

AnnieCa34 · 28/03/2020 14:49

@Clemmie83 exactly I think we’ll if it’s ok at least he can see the pics after and we can be excited but if not I don’t know how to cope alone and then having to tell him after. It’s hard not to think the worst. Plus point I got a call today from my midwife I go in tomorrow to have bloods done. Doing it on a Sunday because it’s closed so it’s quiet. She said my booking appt will be on the phone around 8 weeks and she has sent a letter with my scan date on it. Boyfriend has to stay on car tomorrow too. Luckily I don’t mind blood tests but still.

AnnieCa34 · 28/03/2020 14:51

@Beccarans89 that’s good, any private scan place near me says they are closed :-( so disappointing really wanted one for peace of mind.

Beccarans89 · 28/03/2020 15:19

@annieca34 that's so annoying about private scans, it's understandable with everything going on but hard when you want reassurance! Although that's brilliant you've spoken to your midwife, how many weeks are you? Exciting to get the process started and that's good they're getting you in when it's quiet for bloods!

AnnieCa34 · 28/03/2020 15:37

@Beccarans89 I just looked up window to the womb and there is one near me! Have sent an email to ask if they are still doing the early ones! It does mention if before 10 weeks it would prob be trans vaginally which freaks me out but then I prob have to get used to things up there 🙈. Would be good if they will do it. I’m only 4 weeks 4 days I did say to midwife is this not a bit early, she said it is but it doesn’t matter when they do it and want to get people in when it’s quiet so if I am happy to do it tomorrow it’s fine. Works for me! Have you heard anything yet?

heythere7 · 28/03/2020 15:58

I hope I can join you ladies in a few days. I'm not TTC following MC in May last year but me and the hubby did have a little bit too much to drink earlier in the month and DTD without protection. We would both be happy with a pregnancy!
I started feeling like I was going to throw up yesterday but then felt better when I ate (which was a sign for me last time). My boobs are killing, I have a pin prick like pain in my uterus and I keep crying!!
I would be 5 weeks now, due early December but I can get a test until next weekend due to my household isolating 😭
Fingers crossed for me 🤞🤞

AnnieCa34 · 28/03/2020 16:12

@heythere7 oh no that must be so hard waiting! I hope it’s a bfp for you. Can you order test online through amazon get it delivered to your house. They leave packages outside now so you wouldn’t have to answer the door and see anyone if you isolating. Might mean you can get one sooner! Good luck!

heythere7 · 28/03/2020 16:15

@annieCa34 amazon can get them to me by Friday but I'm planning on going out on Friday evening and getting some anyway! AF due Monday with no sign yet! I'm not self isolating with hubby though! I would have to tell him on video call 😭

lionsmum · 28/03/2020 16:26

@AnnieCa34 I had a scan with my last pregnancy at 6 weeks and they saw what they needed to no problem with no trans scan required! I know everyone is different but hopefully you'd manage without too

AnnieCa34 · 28/03/2020 16:32

@heythere7 ah annoying having to wait until Friday though. Let us know how you get on. When will you see your oh?
@lionsmum that’s really good to know thank you! Will see if they reply! I could call them but I hate the phone so see if they reply by email! I just hate this waiting! Still getting cramps on and off most days and it panics me. Not sure I should be getting this many. Guess can ask the midwife tomorrow and prob make her think I am a basket case with all my anxious worrying!

heythere7 · 28/03/2020 17:09

Hopefully after the weekend if we're allowed to travel home!

I've had a trans scan at 7 and a half weeks and I got a really clear picture! It wasn't uncomfortable at all and they're very supportive ❤ Cramps can be normal! I thought I was getting my period with my last pregnancy as the cramps were so bad! I didnt know I was pregnant but that must have been around 5 weeks! Fingers crossed lovely keep us updated ❤

marlibs3 · 28/03/2020 18:25

I just wanted to say welcome to all the newcomers and thank everyone for how much I appreciate everyone's points of view. I'm feeling pretty alone and a bit scared about this whole thing, especially under current circumstances, and to hear from a bunch of women going through the same thing is helping me stay sane! :)

Figey · 28/03/2020 19:18

Congrats everyone on your BFPs!! 🎉🎉 So nice seeing our little December group grow!

@AnnieCa34 I would try not to worry about a trans vaginal scan. I had one just before I started TTC, just to make sure everything was ok and it was a walk in the park compared to a pap smear. It was all very discrete too with a blanket over my legs, definitely nothing on show! There’s more nudity at a leg wax to be honest!

Ladies, I know a fair few of you have been looking for early scans which unfortunately don’t seem that easy to locate at the moment. One thing I was looking into was ordering some HCG finger prick blood tests from medichecks to make sure that my levels were increasing appropriately? My plan was to order two and check the increase in between the two as an indicator of progression but my DH has pretty much banned me from any more testing 😂 He thinks that I’m becoming obsessive and keeps kindly reminding me that testing won’t change anything!

marlibs3 · 28/03/2020 20:01

I managed to book an early scan for 6+5 at a Window to the Womb about an hour's drive away from me. I'd urge everyone to check if they have one near them :)

Emerald89 · 28/03/2020 20:07

Hi everyone, hope you don't mind if I join. i found out that Im pregnant on 24th. Currently 4+1 weeks with my first baby, due 4th December. Very excited but also anxious, constantly thinking about the possibility it will go away as I'm so early on. I wish I'd waited longer to do a test but I couldn't as I had medication to stop. i'm doing a pregnancy test every morning to make sure the lines getting darker (I bought 50 of the cheapie strips from Amazon, whole lot cost me like a fiver so figured I'm not really wasting money doing them)

Beccarans89 · 28/03/2020 20:38

Congratulations @emerald89, so exciting! It's my first too so it's hard not to feel anxious isn't it!

@marlibs3 that's amazing! I think we are going to book one too for 6-7 weeks at window to the womb, hopefully will give us some reassurance! Xx

marlibs3 · 28/03/2020 20:42

@Emerald89 congrats and welcome! :) first time round for me too so it's all so new and nervewracking!

@Beccarans89 keeping all my fingers crossed for you! :)

Beccarans89 · 28/03/2020 20:44

@marlibs3 thank you lovely! Time is going so slowly, I hope the weeks start speeding up!!

marlibs3 · 28/03/2020 20:52

@Beccarans89 someone should make a first trimester advent calendar for these days to go by a little quicker 😋

tossacoin1 · 28/03/2020 21:48

Time is going sooo slow. I'm finding myself googling clothes and nursery furniture even though it's going to be months before I start buying anything 🙈can't even go shops to have a look at anything which is annoying

marlibs3 · 28/03/2020 22:36

Hahaha totally relate @tossacoin1, I'm already planning my wardrobe and buying some maxi dresses that I think can see me through til third trimester 😅

Trufflepigglet · 29/03/2020 07:49

Can I join you ladies?

BFP yesterday after 18 months of heartbreaking trying and 3 weeks away from our first infertillity clinic. Thrilled isn't the word!

Due 2nd Dec according to the app I downloaded yesterday.
