@burntpinky and @ParisInTheSpringtime I'll definitely look into it in that case. I'm 35. I think I'm supposed to have bloods taken at my booking in appointment Monday but agree that with everything going on, it might be better to not rely on NHS as much as normal.

Lozzyloo86 · 28/03/2020 17:28

@Fe333 hey lovely, first for me too and due 23rd Nov. I feel the same! Totally new and terrifying in the current climate 😟 not sure how to think of feel. And just joined Mumsnet yesterday. Have to admit reading others posts does make me feel less alone and more relaxed! Take care x

Hancock2020 · 28/03/2020 17:31

@bluebell94 me too tbh, I think it's because the suns gone away again and it's cold.
I couldn't even be bothered to go put for my daily walk but my DH made me 🙄

ohiwishyouwerehere · 28/03/2020 18:55

Oh I'm so glad others have mentioned nose bleeds! I've had several minor ones a few times a day for the last week or so. So annoying!

I'm also getting excessively fat 🙈 I'm on week 4 of being at home tomorrow, it's definitely taken it's toll. I'm hardly getting any movement in and my food isn't great.

Can anyone recommend any middle of the road pregnancy work outs? Not something that'll kill me off but also something where I feel I've done something!!

Hancock2020 · 28/03/2020 19:05

I'm just walking a mile every day, it's not much but it's better than nothing.im not going off my estate which means I have to walk the block 6 times, I'm pretty sure my neighbours think I'm a weirdo keep walking by their windows 🤣🤪

HarrietM87 · 28/03/2020 19:28

@ohiwishyouwerehere I’ve been doing joe wicks and just leaving out the ones involving abs! Weirdly I feel great in the morning so up for doing it at 9am and then the sickness just builds as the day goes on...I’m in bed already!

ParisInTheSpringtime · 28/03/2020 19:33

I am still doing CrossFit and yoga. Want to add in some running as I am eating a horrendous amount of food at the moment.

Is anyone else thirsty constantly? My throat is like a desert.

LittleMissSunshine2020 · 28/03/2020 19:36

I’ve just booked an early scan and now I’m having doubts. I’ll be 6+5 on the day of the scan - not sure if this is too early?
Having nothing to do is making me increasingly paranoid and now I’m convinced something is wrong.
Does anyone know if I’ll be able to see anything on the scan?

ParisInTheSpringtime · 28/03/2020 19:38

@LittleMissSunshine2020 I had a scan at 6+2 and could see the heartbeat.

LittleMissSunshine2020 · 28/03/2020 19:42

Thank you. I hope I do too. Hopefully it will put my mind at rest for a few weeks x

AnxiousLady1 · 28/03/2020 19:48

@ParisInTheSpringtime I'm constantly thirsty also. That's definitely a symptom.

I'm seriously struggling with doing anything remotely productive let alone exercising. And most healthy foods have gone out the window. Trying to figure out what to eat is becoming increasingly difficult. I start off okay in the morning and just get worse as day goes on. Last night I got sick before I went to bed. Morning sickness my backside !!

Fouryearslater · 28/03/2020 20:20

@ohiwishyouwerehere I’ve been trying to keep up my running but with various coughs and colds over the last few months (thanks DC1 🙄) I’ve dropped loads of fitness making it even harder. And harder again having to run solo and not with my club.

Be careful taking up anything very new, you’re far more prone to injury.

HarrietM87 · 28/03/2020 20:44

@AnxiousLady1 ditto with the evening sickness 🤢

Workingmama1 · 28/03/2020 21:32

Anyone else struggling with fatigue?

I'm soooooo tired all the time. Fell asleep at 8pm on the sofa last night! Probably not helping that I've got a teething toddler who is now home all day while we attempt to work from home but it's crippling me. Any advice to feel more energised?

somegoodnewsforonce · 28/03/2020 21:34

@Workingmama1 I'm tired too. I was the same when pregnant with DS.
I'm going to go to bed soon. I think all you can do is get more sleep.

OhHuck · 28/03/2020 22:04

Wanted to ask if anyone knows when sickness becomes a concern and to contact GP. I've had nausea for 2 weeks (I'm 8 weeks today), since yesterday morning the vomiting has started and I've struggled to keep anything down. Everytime I eat I start feeling queasy and after a short while bring it all back up. So vomiting 4 to 5 times a day. Slightly worried about dehydration.

somegoodnewsforonce · 28/03/2020 22:06

@OhHuck if you're not keeping any meals or drinks down then definitely speak to a doctor.

Whoamieven · 28/03/2020 23:32

@OhHuck speak to GP, the vital bit is fluid. Tiny sips of water every few mins will keep dehydration at bay, if you can keep doing that often. Don't try and drink too much at once. Just keep an eye on wee colour too. I'm being sick the same amount but I know I am getting enough water in around it (been hospitalised with 2 pregnancies for sickness so I'm a good judge of myself this time!)

Ranoutofgoodnames · 28/03/2020 23:59

@LittleMissSunshine2020 I had one around the six week mark and saw embryo yolk sac and flickering heartbeat

Think there is a risk it might be too early - but from all the research I did this seemed not so likely - but can never be 100% I think

I felt much less anxious after mine - for about a day of course and now I am back to panic central 🙄

OhHuck · 29/03/2020 00:23

Thank you @somegoodnewsforonce and @Whoamieven I will ring the GP on Monday when they open.

Just been sick again, I've been incredibly restless past few hours and knew I wouldn't be able to sleep until it was over with. Atleast I can sleep now!

FlashesOfRage · 29/03/2020 02:01

@ohhuck

Sorry you’re having such a terrible time of it!

Don’t forget that there are safe, first line treatments that you can try if you’re struggling with nausea and vomiting ❤️
You don’t have to just suffer it until you’re ready to be hospitalised 😘

I have been feeling totally horrendous all day every day since 5 weeks (9 on Mon) but not actually vomiting. By 7+3 I was desperate and saw my GP. I tried cyclizine for two days, promethazine once (that was intense as fuck lol) and a day of Prochlorperizine.

I didn’t feel like they worked for me, I got offered stronger meds (Metaclopramide, domperidone) but I decided that as I wasn’t actually being sick I would tough it out.

Have a look on here;

SqidgeBum · 29/03/2020 09:08

@OhHuck definitely ring them. I am being sick every day, but only once, and then I feel better for a bit. 4 times a day is too much! You need to be keeping a certain amount down. I remember on my first bejbf afraid the baby wouldn't be getting what it needs because I was puking so much, but baby will just basically suck you dry so it will always get what it needs, but you wont. Just keep an eye on your weight too. I have lost 3 pounds in 2 weeks. I lost 8 pounds in the first trimester of my last pregnancy. But excessive weight loss needs to be dealt with too.

You poor thing. Its hell.

canueve · 29/03/2020 09:28

I've always been to the gym and am struggling not being able to go. I am doing at home workouts if interested Heather Robertson on youtube has a 12 week free workout on her channel - no equipment needed. I do it every other day and go for fast walks. Most of her exercises you can do an easier version so it helps if you are not used to something.

Yoga is a nice way to keep the muscles working and Yoga with Adrienne on youtube also a good way to keep moving.

I try to have a healthy breakfast and lunch so If I end up snacking or eating something bad for dinner I don't feel too bad.

KatieGlo · 29/03/2020 09:35

Hi Ladies!
Just found this thread, my first is due in mid November (ish).
Feeling the sickness, horrible, especially when you can't take your mind off it by going to chat with a friend or going to the shops or flippin' anywhere!
I tried a 'three ginger' tea last night (ordered from Holland and Barrett, but probably can get in supermarket too), I was expecting it to be grim, but actually tasted really nice, not too gingery and really settled my stomach from 7pm until going to bed.
Look forward to keeping in touch as we go through this scary journey together Smile

MakingAMuggle · 29/03/2020 09:47

Hi, just signed up, first time posting! I’m 8+4, first pregnancy so all very new! Had an early scan 4 days ago, all looking good 😊. Had my booking appointment done over the phone, was told I’d have my bloods and urine sample, and be given my paperwork, when I go for my dating scan, we shall see!
