Waiting club for 12 week scan

Anyone else waiting for their 12 week scan?

I'm 6+3 going off my last period & I'm already sooooo bored! I just want that confirmation and relief.

I'm pregnant (obviously) but I don't have strong symptoms.

I have nausea sometimes throughout the day, I ache, I want to sleep 24/7 and my hormones are off the scale. Crying over a banana one minute then laughing hysterically at nothing the next. The mood swings are just... yeah.

My cramping has stopped this past week and my boobs haven't got sore yet. I know, I know, I shouldn't complain! But I want to know this is real haha.

Anyone in the same club?

Hi! I'm 7+3 by my dates but we had an early scan last week and she measured baby smaller but said it's still so early so I'm just going by LMP until we have another scan. I have DD who's two and is keeping me super busy so the weeks are flying by, but I feel nauseous all the time especially at night, my boobs are agony & I just generally feel wiped out.

Have you see your midwife yet? My booking appointment is Friday xx

I’m waiting too, I’m 7+3 and I don’t have that many symptoms either. I’m always tired and have tender boobs but that’s it really, also feeling light cramping in my stomach and back pretty much daily but it’s nothing it would call painful. I had a tiny bit of pink bleeding the other day so yesterday I went to a walk in EPU and they scanned me and I saw a healthy baby with heartbeat measuring exactly as I thought so at least I know everything seems ok for now but my mind is still in totally overdrive it’s still such an anxious time before 12 weeks.

I’m waiting too 🤚🏼 I’m officially 8+1 but also had an early scan last week and the baby was measuring at about a week behind, which I think it right as I’m sure my ovulation date was later than the ‘usual’. Still got to see a nice strong heartbeat though, which was nice ☺️ Got my booking in appt on Tue and then the wait for the scan. I think we might go for another private one between now and the 12 week one, just because I’m very anxious about everything and it’ll help to put my mind at ease. It’s such a strange, strange period, when something so major is happening but nothing can really be done just yet and you can’t talk to many people about it!

I'm 9+6 and just booked an early scan...couldn't wait! Time is going super slow, I just want to be past the 12 week mark already :)

11 weeks today scan next week..... Feels like a forever

I'm 12 weeks today, scan next Wednesday. It's been the longest wait ever!

I'm 11+4 and my scan is in 8 days! The wait seems to have taken forever.

@Holly3 hi! My midwife appointment is tomorrow morning! I'll only be 6+5 though so not sure if that's too early as I thought the appointment would be roughly 8 weeks.

@Prettylittlelady same as me hun, not many symptoms or at least none I can't handle. Apparently you can light spot and it's usually no concern but I know I'd be straight to the EPU regardless as I'm that sort of person. I think it's the fact you don't know what's going on so the wait is awful haha x

@SkyBlue20 i was debating an early scan but wasn't too sure! Nothing feels real haha! I know I'm really struggling with not telling people as I'm usually such a blabber mouth

@Avearage not long now! I wish I was further along but then I don't as I want to enjoy it as much as possible x

@SophieJosie95 yes I am showing actually. I went out and bought some maternity leggings and bras yesterday as mine have been tight this week 😬.

Are you going to have an early scan do you think?

@Chanel05 I think I do want one as I am such a worrier/over-thinker and don't know if I can wait that long! I'm going to see how I feel along the line.

I'm naturally very slim so my tummy is normally completely flat but it's already softened/rounded a bit this early I think it's because I'm eating better maybe? Who knows!

I'm 10 weeks and 4 days. We had a private early scan at what I thought was 9 weeks and 3 days but I was actually 8 weeks and 4 days. I have my 12 week scan on this 6th march but I'll actually be 11 week and 2 days...and I'll tell you something it feels like I've gone aaaaaages lol. I'm so impatient, booking in for gender scan at 16 weeks because we can't wait until 20 weeks

I'm 11+1 and have my scan next Wednesday and am soooo anxious about it, I think even more so because I haven't had a midwife appointment yet.

Has absolutely been the longest couple of months of my life, am suffering with HG so multiple hospital trips and long long days.

I'm currently 11+6 but my scan isn't until a week on Weds when I'll be 13+1. We had an early scan (private for reassurance) at what we thought was 8+5 but they said baby was measuring at more like 7+2. My midwife opted for a later dating scan just so I didn't have to go in twice (I wouldn't have minded!) as we can't be sure that I didn't ovulate late.
This is our first baby and I already feel like I've been pg forever, I just want to be able to tell people why I've been so sick/withdrawn without looking like I'm generally not interested in doing things. My anxiety has been RIDICULOUS so positives vibes this way please ladies - if it can be worried about then I've worried about it 😐

@ConstantlyPanicking oh you haven't?! I had my first midwife appointment today at 6+5, I had a scare last night as I thought I was losing the baby due to intense cramping but since I haven't bled and it went away quickly she's not concerned. I'm sure everything will be fine at your scan lovely x

@newlymarried2019 this is our first and we are both big goof balls & something this serious is unusual for us haha! The waiting really sucks! It's good you got the early scan for reassurance xx

I'm half tempted to book an early scan! Also 6+5 based on LMP and had my booking appointment today!

Has your cramping stopped? I don't really have any noticable symptoms, just massive bloating, totally exhausted and my mood is all over the place.

@Parney hey! My cramping hasn't stopped I get it in the evenings mostly. Midwife says it's everything stretching & is worse in first time mums. As long as there's no bleeding and the pain isn't worsening or intense then not to worry.

Oh you must be due roughly same time as me! I'm estimated 21st October x

I'm 11+2 and also waiting for my 12 week scan. I think we might be scan twins @ConstantlyPanicking - mine is next Wednesday too, when I'll be 12+3. I'm sure you're worried if you've not had the reassurance of the booking in appointment or anything like that, but I think we get a skewed view on MN and it's actually often totally fine.

That said, this is our first baby, and it's an IVF one, so I spend quite a lot of time worrying too. I'm looking forward to the scan but also dreading it, just in case something isn't right. We had a viability scan at 7+4 and everything was ok then, but I've read so much on MN about MMC (why do I read all the posts that will worry me?!) that this is my biggest fear.

Anyway, 8 days to go! Are you doing the screening tests ConstantlyPanicking?

I read all the posts I shouldn't too! I also keep seeing that one of the reasons for having HG is that it could be twins which keeps making me go into meltdown!! So is your due date 20/9?

@ConstantlyPanicking Yep, we'll be having the tests, although obviously I'll be worrying about the results of those too! On my letter it says that if the result is low risk, they'll write to you in two weeks, but if it's high risk, they'll call you within 3 days, so fingers crossed for no calls!

Congratulations on your pregnancy too! Haha, yes, I've read that about HG and twins. The dating scan will reveal all! I saw one lady post a while ago that she was having triplets...!

Yes, 20/09 is our EDD and since they know the transfer date, it won't change at the dating scan. At my 7+4 scan, the little pea measured at exactly 7+4, so I'm hoping it's stayed on track. We haven't told anyone yet except one HR person at my work so I could get time off for scans and midwife stuff, so it'll be a relief to come clean about things so long as all is ok. Have you told anyone yet?

@SophieJosie95 Just wanted to agree about how long it seems before anything happens! I can't believe there's so many more weeks to go.

I think I'm about 4+4 now but I haven't had a period since I came off the pill in January and I only got my BFP on Saturday. Midwife appointment not till the 26th March which feels ages away never mind the 12 week mark. I'm too impatient and anxious to wait that long so have booked a private scan for 6th Aprril when I should be roughly 7 weeks but this also feels like ages away. I really hate this part.

@mincedpea I have had to tell my work because of how sick I've been, and my family for the same reason, because of hospital admissions etc but waiting to tell any other family and friends.

I'm interested to see what dates come back for us because my mum is adamant I'm further along than I am, but we shall see!
