Did anyone get their BFP recently? I got mine last night so I think I'm 4 weeks 1 day today and still very much in shock, according to apps my due date would be October 30th.

Hi @BS9790 sorry to hear about your previous MC and welcome! Wishing you luck for your scan tomorrow Flowers

Me too! Due around 22nd October I think. Exciting but such a nervous time!
How are you feeling?xx

tryingtryinggone · 29/02/2020 11:15

Mind if I join?

I’m now 7 weeks and due 19th October but have been pretty nervous to get involved in any mn chats in case it all goes wrong. Had a miscarriage in October which really knocked me so I have been super nervous this time. Have been suffering massively with nausea (and vomiting for the first time yesterday) and just feeling generally exhausted and wondering how everyone does it!
Going to book a private scan for next week hopefully but we’re waiting until last minute to book just in case I don’t make it that far which I think shows how nervous I am!
I want to be excited but how I am feeling sickness wise makes it really quite difficult. Please tell me I’m not alone with this?? This baby is so so wanted so I want to be excited but the struggle is real!

Danielle95lab · 29/02/2020 11:25

@tryingtryinggone welcome! I'm so sorry about your previous loss. I haven't experienced a MC but I've had a bit of brown discharge on Thursday which tipped me over the edge so I feel just as anxious.

I'm testing every day to make sure the lines still as strong and I have an early scan on the 11th March. So trust me I know how scared you must be feeling. Since that daft bit of brown discharge I'm finding it hard to get excited too.

But look at the positives, sickness is a really good sign and you've made it this far with no worries! Get yourself a scan booked and put your mind at ease. I won't say relax because I know you can't, cause I'm the same. But try keep distracted to keep the negative thoughts away? I have everything crossed for you and every hope this will be a positive experience for you!xxx

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 13:23

Welcome everyone 😃 how are you all feeling?

I've gone from terrified and head in sand to actually really happy and excited, mostly because my partner is so happy and supportive too.

Cramps today but not too bad. Nausea isn't as awful but I'm craving sweet food which I usually don't like - and milk, I hate milk, but all I want is milkshakes! Pregnancy is weird and wonderful.

We have booked a private scan for a week on Friday so will know more about the EDD then. So excited!

1990shopefulftm · 29/02/2020 13:34

@roarfeckingroar not craved much so far apart from chicken nuggets last night but I did that before I was pregnant anyway.

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 13:36

@1990shopefulftm Grinthat's funny.

I'm usually mega healthy but yesterday I had a tuna melt panini, a cheese pasty then a burger for dinner. Just had pancakes with maple syrup blueberries bacon and pecans. Seriously going to have to keep on exercising heavily or I'll double size in a month.

1990shopefulftm · 29/02/2020 13:44

@roarfeckingroar the UK doesn't have specific guidelines but in America they say it's okay to put on two stone in pregnancy.

Got my maternity notes in the post with my appointment letter yesterday, not sure if I m supposed to give them my BMI now because it ll be a bit different when they take it at my booking appointment with the extra I ve been eating.

@1990shopefulftm @roarfeckingroar I wish I was craving food but it’s quite the opposite. I can’t stomach anything apart from cream crackers currently! Is anyone else having serious smell aversions too? Just smelling someone’s lunch or crisps is making me heave 🤣

KitKatKit · 29/02/2020 14:22

@tryingtryinggone yep food in general is making me feel very nauseous. I'm eating a lot of crackers and odourless food!

1990shopefulftm · 29/02/2020 14:56

@tryingtryinggone I feel like the smell of things I hated before pregnancy bothers me more, a colleague was eating quavers and it made me feel nauseous.
I m grateful that i don't have morning sickness yet as I really don't cope well with feeling ill like that.

ablisha · 29/02/2020 16:23

Hey all!

I haven't had any nausea yet and, although I know it will be pants, it will be slightly comforting if and when it does arrive!

Just trying to keep busy but I am more excited than I was before when all I felt was anxiety!

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 16:36

@1990shopefulftm I really don't want to put on that much weight if I can avoid it.

I haven't found smells to be a problem yet but give it time!

Where around the country is everyone? I'm SW London.

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 16:37

@tryingtryinggone erm to be honest I can't stand the smell of other people's lunch at the best of times! I have found myself smelling my partner's skin in a good way. I might have been doing this when he woke up this morning Grin

Frankincense88 · 29/02/2020 17:44

@roarfeckingroar West Midlands here! 👋🏼

I've had no cravings, aversions or nausea 😳 Cramps have gone too so the only symptom I have is boobs like bags of cement! When I wake up in the morning it's unbearable!! 😫

Danielle95lab · 29/02/2020 18:30

@Frankincense88 haha I'm the same! Nothing at the moment other than my boobs and a bit of backache here and there!

@roarfeckingroar I'm from Middlesbrough :) x

DressingGown87 · 29/02/2020 18:59

@roarfeckingroar I’m a northerner! Lancashire! I’m hoping not too out on much weight, I’d just hit my target weight, and got good with my eating and fitness routines. All my energy has now been sapped out of me, and I’ve become stuck to the sofa!

@1990shopefulftm I can’t stand the smell of diesel, which is making filling up my car hard 🙈

Welcome to all the newbies!! @BS9790 I’ve had previous losses too, so I’m with you on the anxiety. Just want to get to a point where I can enjoy it.

I’m trying to stay busy this weekend, and not worrying about my scan on Monday. Easier said than done, when your exhausted and the weather is pants!

1990shopefulftm · 29/02/2020 19:23

@DressingGown87 I m in Lancashire too :)

Flora20 · 29/02/2020 20:28

Ooh it's been busy on here today! Welcome all newbies!

I've been starting to feel a bit dizzy and nauseous for the past couple of days, not wanting to eat but then feeling better when I do. For a bit 😂 Had some minor cravings - salt and vinegar crisps primarily. Hoping I manage to stick to nausea and food aversions like last time, really hate being sick so terrified of morning sickness 🙈

And I'm in West Yorkshire!

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 20:50

All bloody northerners!!! I can say this because my father and DP are both from Yorkshire GrinGrinGrin

roarfeckingroar · 29/02/2020 20:54

@DressingGown87 ugh I'm literally in the best shape of the last ten years and now I'm knocked up! Determined to be one of those super slim types who don't change aside to have a bowling ball stuck on my stomach but the best made plans.

Welcome to all newbies and best possible wishes for a relaxed and anxiety free pregnancy, especially to those who have suffered past losses.

I have first GP appointment on Friday then early scan the Friday after so will have a better idea of due date because I'm crap at life and couldn't tell you for love nor money when was the first day of my last period.

ablisha · 29/02/2020 22:27

I'm from Hertfordshire Smile

I'm also trying to watch the pounds through this pregnancy but normally do bootcamp as part of my fitness however my trainer has said that this is not appropriate for pregnant women and I also play netball which I can't play past the first trimester (plus it's nearly the end of the season). I'll carry on my PT once a week but I'm going to have to try and pick up some other form of exercise! Maybe swimming?

I'm also a Diet Coke addict and am trying really hard not to drink caffeine. I've moved to the no caffeine version but I'm going to try and cut it out altogether I think!

Flora20 · 01/03/2020 09:04

@roarfeckingroar 😂

Not sure there's much you can do about how much you gain to be honest. With my first I didn't show until about 20 weeks, and had a lovely round bump, didn't gain weight anywhere else and lost it immediately on giving birth (really missed my bump!) This time round I look fat already and clothes that I wore for ages last time are already tight 🙈

Danielle95lab · 01/03/2020 09:22

How's everyone's cramping? Had nothing for days then the cramps woke me up in the middle of the night 🤦🏻‍♀️xxx
